Many have given all in the process.
There is more work to do.
Our task is nearing completion.
May God bless each and every one of you who have done such a good thing for others.

TGIS and Good Morning! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/happydance.gif
Laurie, if you think Druge is scary, don't ever break down and watch CNN. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yikes.gif *I had already seen all the FOX shows before I went to bed, so during the night I changed the channel to CNN and this dude Anderson something was spewing so much garbage I thought I'd have to get up and take a Dramamine. *He was talking to Sen. Landrieu and he was so vile he made her sound like a conservative Republican. *I kid you not. *If anybody should be arrested for insighting "hate" - he should. *I'd rather kiss Teddy Kenndy on the lips than ever see that scumbag again. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/fire.gif Well, maybe that's a little rash - maybe a little hug. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laff.gif
The President is wise to keep them guessing before he nominates another justice. *Gives them less time to try and dig up a bunch of lies. *Whoever he picks, I'm sure will be "Bork'd" - the http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/jacka.gif are loaded for bear and are threatening the "F" word again. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes2.gif
Great quote by Ford. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif *Right up there with the one at the top of this page. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif
Oh, and I saw Bennett on H&C and also heard what he said (that wasn't taken out of context) and this is just more "race card" "kwapola" IMO. *Of course, you can't expect people who are already filled with hate and dysfunctionally illiterate to be able to interpret anything correctly if it comes from a Republican or conservative. *Republicans have to learn to be more devious and ambiguous. *He should probably have said, "if a certain segment of our population, instead of "blacks" - and then let the idiots spin themselves into the ground trying to prove what he actually meant. *Of course, it was peachy fine for the HUD chief to say that he envisions a "whiter" New Orleans - maybe because he just happens to be black. *Is it just me, or is politics becoming more and more dirty every day. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tqrolleyes.gif *Poor MLK must be turning in his grave. *His legacy is being totally trashed - by both blacks and whites. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif
OH, BTW - as a lifelong resident of Florida, I'm happy to report I haven't shot anyone ----- yet. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin2.gif
Speedy - I'm one of the http://www.fancysplace.com/smileys/indian.gif (Seminole) fans you might be thinking of. *I think our lovely Katy is a Gator fan. *But hey, nobody is perfect. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif

Good morning y’all, and thanks for the
prayer Schultz. It’s about time that I
dropped in and shared some of
my home made combination pizza.
They're olives’n mushrooms with tomatoes,
onions, basil, oregano from our garden.
Mozzarella, Munster, and Provolone are
the cheeses that with sweet Italian sausage
completes the toping.
The 3 pizzas are all in the warmer and
1 is without sausage, otherwise
they're the same and Bon appetit, Ciao and
y’all have a fun weekend.

Good morning from Atlanta.
Yesterday we went to a Bar B Q at the Treatment Center. It has changed a lot from when we were going there. No one from my husband's group was there so we just talked to everyone else, and had a lovely time. Then in the evening we went to a Buffet dinner topped off by some great entertainment. The one common thread held by everyone in the room was Prostate Cancer.
Today will be a busy day, and we will finish up with a visit to my cousin (the one who had the birthday last Saturday) for dinner and to play some cards. Then it's home again tomorrow.
Want to wish all our Birthday people a http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/HB.gif

I'd like to paraphrase this quote, if that is okay.
"Nothing in the world is more dangerous than [Democrats]."
I just felt that "sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity" is a good description of most democrats. Of course, some could be defined as "insincere (hypocritical) ignorance and unconscionable stupidity."

I'm glad that y'all don't get overly emotional about your sports!
Of course, we do that up here, too. Pretty much everybody, who is an IU fan, hates all the rest of the schools in the Big Ten. I know there is at least one Wolverine fan on this board. I think that's CleosMom, but I've probably messed that up, too.
All I know for sure is that Katy loves the Braves and Charie is a Packers fan!
And now that Danny and pRIM have pointed it out, I know they are Seminoles fans, but I'll forget it by tomorrow.
I don't watch college football, but I tend to root for any Indiana school playing --- IU, ISU, Purdue, Notre Dame, Ball State. It doesn't matter unless they're playing each other. I'm a Ball State grad, so I really should put them first. (I like basketball a lot better.)
My niece is a fastpitch softball pitcher for the University of Indianapolis. So I root for them always!

Absolutely! If they think an issue is important enough to filibuster, it should be important enough to do a true one, not a "filibuster light"!
I hope the President chooses Janice Rogers Brown for the Supreme Court spot. I think she's tough enough to stand up to all the garbage that will be thrown her way.
I was flipping through channels this morning and landed on MSNBC just long enough to hear their "Question of the Day" - they were asking if Bill Bennett's remarks were "reprehensible." Gee, no indication of what they wanted people to say, is there? *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
Since I'm a glutton for punishment, I went back to MSNBC and they're talking about Tom DeLay's indictment. They have a Democratic strategist named Peter Fenn. And, representing the Republicans, is Patrick Buchanan! It's too bad they couldn't find an actual supporter to speak.
pRIM, I didn't see the Anderson Cooper show you were talking about, but I've seen him more than enough. He's an arrogant critter, isn't he?

Even tho Bill Bennett included a caveat to his statement, he is to be crucified for telling the truth. Maybe he could have couched it a bit more, but he isn't PC enough for the liberals.
Now that I have made enemies of at least half of the football fans, I'm out of here. Have a great day.

Good Morning, GOPUSA buds!
Speedway: You are on a roll today, hun. I love your sense of humor. Oh, and I think your new siggy is cute! Love the little car...
Katy: Thanks for the BLUEBERRY MUFFINS! Yum. Add those to Dave's Krispy Kremes and the fresh coffee and we're good to go. Make sure our Danny has plenty.
Flower: That craft show at the lake sounds terrific! Wish I could join ya. I love craft shows.
Teri (Ohiowoman): Hi there. Yes, I agree about Anderson Cooper being an arrogant critter, too. You know his mother is the heiress Gloria Vanderbilt? La dee da. Va-va-va-VOOM! I'm sure she's a big-time Lib! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif
Laurie: Thanks for the heads-up on Drudge's site. I'll have to check out what "stuff" is on there today. I'll also have to scour my harddrive afterwards, with all those pop-ups!
We bought a new Toyota Sienna minivan last night. It's a beautiful color called "arctic frost pearl" and I'm feeling very good about it. It's very fun to drive, but most importantly, has excellent safety ratings. With the crazy drivers we have around here, I decided I need some extra protection, other than my steadfast driving "eyes" and constant, defensive safety skills. So, short of being in a Hummer or hoisting Hailey into an armored tank, this will have to suffice! We did our research, compared vehicles and drove many. It was a hard decision but after driving a few lumbering, top-heavy turds, I decided this felt the best.
Tomorrow, my hubby's aunts are coming in from California. They'll be staying at my mother in law's house for a day and then venturing out to family/friends here on the East Coast. So, we're invited out for a lovely dinner to see them. I've already got myself prepared for some Liberal-talk, so I'm waitin' and ready... I'm loaded for bear. Of course, I must relegate myself to political correctness for that day since I don't want to taint the family atmosphere. **WINK*
This Bill Bennett thing is ridiculous. That man doesn't have a racist bone in his body. I have the utmost respect for him.

Speaking of Bill Bennett; it seems that the liberal horde doesn’t believe that blacks commit more crime than whites. They think that the police refuse to arrest the white criminals and if they do arrest them the judges refuse to put them in jail. If they admit that blacks commit more crime it is only because the blacks are poor and uneducated. But that idea doesn’t fit the NFL and the NBA where the players are all rich and have at least had the opportunity to get an education.
The argument that blacks are more likely to get hard time is also flawed. If a judge sees ten people who committed the same crime seven will be black and three white. At the end of the day the liberals complain that six of the blacks got hard time while only one of the whites got the minimum jail time. The reason – again liberals claim is my fault – the six blacks were well know to the judge and the whites were first time offenders. Just looking at the numbers – one of three whites gets a slap on the hand while six of seven blacks get hard time – doesn’t tell the true story.
I feel for the majority of blacks who have to carry the burden of being lumped in with the criminals but it is their burden to get control of their kids and change their culture.
What Bill Bennett said is true and he will have to pay. Political correctness does not allow anyone to tell the truth about anyone. You can’t even tell the truth about white men. White men built the modern world. Sure, we exploited a few minorities along the way but most of the bricks were laid with white hands.

Yes, the SCOTUS is going to hear the case. She got a $474 million award that was reduced(!) to $89 million. Then the 9th Circuit Ct. of Appeals in San Francisco threw out that award. As I understand it, the issue before the Court involves when a federal court can hear claims that are also being heard in state probate court.
Just another bizarre aspect of Anna Nicole Smith's very strange life.

Happy Saturday Afternoon All!!
(Yawn, Stretch!)
Today was free day at the landfill.
Three truckloads out of the basement!
Ole Dixie got a workouot today. Old computers, parts, tables We'll never use, old rolls of fence, the old water purifyer, etc.
I sure managed to accumulate a bunch of junk.
We are going to a friends wedding this evening.
Misty went to Manhattan to get a new microwave. Our old one did a pretty wierd thing. I put in a couple of piggies in a blanket, to heat up for a snack, and wound up with quite a light show, It hummed, and popped, and sparked.
Of course, I didn't turn it off, IT WAS TOO COOL!!

So we probably all have radiation poisoning or something, but It was very cool!
When we built our church, there was enough money for a big stained glass window, OR, a steeple.
We opted for the stained glass.
We have been saving, and taking donations for over a year, and finally have enough to build the steeple!
Construction starts on Monday! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
I'm very excited about it!
Well, not much news today. Got up early, went to church, and have been workig in the basement all day, so I'm a bit out of touch.
Guess I'll hop into the threads and see what the goings on are today.
See Ya!

FEC: Nancy Pelosi's PACs Broke the Law
Two political action committees linked to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi have been charged with attempting to circumvent to legal limits on campaign giving, the Federal Election Commission has ruled.
According to the March 2004 FEC finding, Pelosi appears to have violated the same kind of arcane campaign finance regulation that spurred the indictment of House Majority Leader Tom DeLay this week.

Personally, I can`t wait for Florida vs. FSU.
I should have worn orange and blue to work.

I hope Jaguars will beat the Broncos. I hope this isn't going to be one of those weekends. Two weeks ago, all of my teams lost.

Hmm, that's a tuffy Speedway! Do I choose the wild horses over my own team because I know they're more than capable of beating them by 21 or more points AND be on Terri's good side? Or do I go against all logic and pick the Jags to win knowing they'll have to pull off a miracle and pay off the ref's in order to do so, AND stay on Katy's good side?
Hmm, I've got a plan Speedway. Ya ready?
Go Colt's!!

You know, most Colts fans didn't like John Elway because of his refusal to play for them. None of us have ever been Broncos fans, so I think I'd have to pick the Jags.
I can't remember the new quarterback's name in Denver (I know he isn't really new any more), but we didn't like him much during the playoffs last year!

Well, at least my beloved Hope College Dutch won their game.

The really pathetic thing is. . . . I'm a Lions fan too! Sssshhhhhhhhh. . . no one ever said life would be a bed of roses/or wins!
Last night we went with friends to see our high school team lose yet again (at least it was to my alma mater - my hubby and kids graduated from the school I currently root for). These poor kids. . . . . I think they've won two games in the past four or five years. I give them so much credit for suiting up and going out there every week. . . only to get pummeled.
I say: Bring on basketball (my favorite sport)!!! There's two seasons in my life: NASCAR and basketball.
Re the President's pick for Sandra Day O'Connor's replacement: I'm still rooting for Maura Corrigan (Supreme Court Justice from Michigan). I've had the privilege of meeting her several times and I've been very impressed with her. Maybe she'll be the dark horse?
I've been staying away from watching the news lately. I get so frustrated with the far left and their "bloviating". It also scares me to have our country go down the road we are headed on. And, it makes me feel so helpless. I'll keep chugging along, working for the party, praying and talking to people. But I feel like we are really up against a dark and evil force.
OK, I'll stop fretting. But, does anyone else feel discouraged like I do?
Maybe it's the moon, waxing or waning or whatever it's currently doing.
On a happy note, I got to hold a newborn baby this afternoon. There is nothing so precious and sweet. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I know that makes life tough. *I lived in Belleville, Michigan from early 83 to mid 85. *While there, I had to be a Lions fan (although secretly rooted for my Bengals), because I worked for Jeff Chadwick's dad at a well-known Dearborn business. *I really can't remember for sure, but I think he was a receiver and was traded later to Seattle. *I probably shouldn't stretch my brain as bad as I screwed up the Seminole fans this morning.
Anyway, I still have a fondness for the Lions. *The Tigers were an excellent team when I lived there and won the World Series.
PapaJ, have a good time at your niece's http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/HB.gif party!
