The year was 2000. The state was Louisiana.

“A federal jury in Baton Rouge convicted Edwards on 17 counts of racketeering, conspiracy to commit extortion and money laundering, and wire and mail fraud in a scheme to extort money from applicants for riverboat gambling”[/QUOTE]

i know there's alot of nervousness in the GOP over potentially losing Congressional seats to Dems in 2006 because of the new DeLay indictment. So, I ran a search in Yahoo! all i did was type in Louisiana politician indictments...WOW!!! there sure is alot!!!

The mainstream media will not run with a story like this since Democrats all stick together, even when they are wrong.

Democrats are corrupt and want to destroy America for the most part.

They want power and will do anything to get it.

How they have achieved a position so low is remarkable. That is why good people are leaving the party. There are some good people left in the Democratic Party, but they are certainly entertaining thoughts of leaving.

The name should be changed to the "Socialist Party".

Judicialwatch.org, a very conservative watchdog group, has consistently criticized Delay for numerous ethics violation. It's probably true that someone with Delays questionable history should never have been placed in a House leadership position. And if Delay isn't bad enough, Bill Frist is under investigation by the SEC. Frist is not a crook but his family hospital business was deeply embroiled in medicare/medicaid fraud. Frist just happened inherit lotsa money many would consider "dirty". Of course, this money is nicely tucked away in a variety of trusts, the preferred tool of the superwealthy to avoid taxation.

Now, this is not to imply that the Dems are any cleaner but they have the media on their side to cover-up their sleeze and sweep up after them.

And the GOP remains very vulnerable because its core constitency is furious with spending, lax immigration policies and after 10 years of controlling Congress, they have proved themselves virtually worthless.

Hildabeast will make mincemeat out of them and who can say that the tax and spend Rhinos don't deserve what is coming. Still, I for one would be delighted if the Delay debacle exploded into such a huge scandal that Democratic and Republican corruption would to result in a newly reconstituted Congress by dismantling the good old boy club.

We need folks like Mike Pence or Tom Tancredo and we need to identify and nurture a new genre of Republican leadership. What we currently have stinks to high heaven.

The hate for Delay is very undestandable. The money, whether legal or not was combined with a redistricting that Dems claim, lost them seats in Congress and gained Republicans five seats.

We have to remember that there is a very real war going on between the two parties and the voters are often mystified about the things going on because they don't view it as a war. By the way, wars whether military or political are very expensive.

Let's look at many of he "misdeeds" going bact to Watergate and Nixon. What was the motives in the majority of cases on both sides? It wasn't personal gain. It was how to get and keep power as the party. We have on party fighting to advance Socialism and the other party trying to drive it down. Social programs are just strategies in the war and the money spent isn't important in a war. The only thing that is important is winning.

That is why the Delay thing is so important to the left. They have to try and keep this from happening again. They don't care about his using "laundering" if he did, they care about the results of it and five Republican seats they couldn't put Democrats in.

Getting secret financial reports, borrowing money from a "Boys Club" for propaganda mogals in Air America, distorting records on CBS, NBC or ABC, accusing racial oppression from the Senate floor and on media outlets, etc. are just tactics in a war for or against Socialism. And, the key to all this grab for power is to ensure we have control of the appointment of judicial appointments. Even Federal District Appeals courts are abslutely critical.

Out of over 7,000 cases filed with the Supreme Court, only about 1% are heard. The rest are not and lie with the decisions made in lower courts. Thus, even when their are no Supreme Court appointments, the other appointments are just as critical to the advance of Socialism's principles.

I will venture to say that if you want to rank all politicians in both parties as to "purity" you won't find a half dozen. Yet, their motives for what they do are "pure" if you consider them in a war where the only obective is to win regardless of the cost. The majority in both parties believe socialism is either the answer or the problem and they are fighting for that and not for themselves. If they do things for "personal" advantage, it is only because they doubt others have the fervor to fight to the death for the "cause."

The sad thing is that they are right. The future of this nation depends on who wins this war. The socialist believe the future will only be bright if they win and I believe it will only be bright if they lose.

The point is, don't think the people on either side are above using war tactics that even they wouldn't approve of in "peace time." The war going on here is even more critical to the future than the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Spying, torture (threats of loss of power to party members) intrigue, sacraficed people (Brown in FEMA), and many other war tactics are being used by both sides. Some of those things are "illegal and unethical" but so are many things that go on in any war.

However, the left has become masters at how they manipulate their "activities" into "mistakes, accidents (Berger's document smuggling comes to mind), innocent miscommunication, etc., but, everthing the Republicans did was deliberate, calculated and mean spirited to keep the poor and minorities down.

They are much more willing to fight unethically than we are, but we are still not "pure" in all we do. HOwever, I believe we try harder to do things "legally" than they do.

He was also charged with 51 counts of tax fraud and with running illegal oil deals with Iran during the hostage crisis.”

“If Rich is, in fact, still a U.S. citizen, he's liable for taxes, no matter where he lives. The problem, OM, is that we do make a concerted effort to fight "legally"; however, the Democrats hypnotic powers through lavish use of their propaganda blinds people to see people like Marc Rich and his connection with the Clintons and deaf to anything that would tarnish their vision of a "pure" DNC.

Murdoch's son was running the New York Post. *Daddy Murdoch kicked him out. *Daddy Murdoch and Billary are getting cozy. *The New York Post has traditionally been on the right side of New Yorkers; until Hillary's plans for her Presidential bid started blossoming.

ps - for those who don't know, Marc Rich was pardoned by Bill Clinton; Rich's x-wife contributed $600,000 to the Clinton library as well as Billary's senate campaign.

Old Man hits on an important issue. It may not be the purpose of this thread, but it is important. I fear many simply do not see the connections that appear to be developing. A socialist agenda from Democrat's, a United Nations hell-bent on imposing a socialist world government on all, wealthy contributors or corporate giants & media giants, all working towards goals that call for an end to America. They feel her time has past & now we must all bow down to the altar called, socialism. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
Dem's have stated that Republicans have "gutted" medicare. How then is it that under the watch of a republican president, a prescription drug program was implemented, so expensive that it alone stands to bankrupt this nation?
Dem's stand in opposition to any judicial appointment that does not reflect "their" concept of mainstream America. That means, abortion on demand, health care as a "right", only pubik skools, no churches, free speech to Dem's only.. all others need not apply, sexual freedom to do whatever you want w/ whomever you want, and,
America submitting its law to the United Nations world government for approval. All military under UN command. Law of the Sea gives the UN control of all oceanic resources, Kyoto allows the UN to gut the American & other developed nations economies, so they can give more to undeveloped nations (after they take their personal cuts of course). If we need fear anything, it may be the apparent concentrated effort to overwhelm us with laws, treaties, policies, and more, that will lead to allowing the giant government to "take care of us".
