Hastert eyes immigration (http://www.washingtontimes. com/national/20050728-113459-4480r.htm)

House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert said yesterday his chamber will work to produce an immigration bill this year, even as the White House signaled a new emphasis on immigration law enforcement as part of selling President Bush's proposal.

Even if he gets it through the House, the chances of it getting through the senate with commiecrats and rinocrats against are awfully slim. If it gets through the senate, it will be so watered down as to be worthless except as political boasting with the mid-term elections coming up.

In other words, they are going to talk a lot about enforcement while what they are really doing is passing an amnesty disguised as a guestworker program. This is going to be a big sales job a lot like the one in 1986.

Jack, what do you think about the "wall" they are going to put up to block vehicles that Teri mentioned in the other thread?
Also, what do you think about the threat from the Brown Beret to use force to disrupt the efforts of the Minutemen in Texas?

I think the wall is a good start. It is actually not a wall but rather a vehicle barrier and people on foot can walk right around it. I would prefer to see a fence along the order of what Israel is building on the whole length of the border. My understanding is that type of fencing costs about $1.5 million per mile so the whole 2000 mile job would only cost a few billion. Probably much less than the ANNUAL cost of illegals to California.
But in truth, border enforcement without interior enforcement and particularly enforcement against the employers is unlikely to succeed. Spending money on the borders is part of the sham. They will do anything to avoid doing what they know WILL work which is to start throwing their elite criminal buddies who are giving the illegals jobs in prison.
As far as the Brown Berets go, I will believe it when I see it. THe MS-13 Gang also threatened to kill Minutemen but they turned out to be empty threats.
But mass mono-cultural immigration is likely to lead to civil strife of some sort. Black on Hispanic riots are becoming common place in Los Angelos schools. I don't blame the blacks. They were just starting to claw their way into the middleclass and now they are faced with wage erosion and displacement in the workplace. I'd be pissed too. As a matter of fact I am pissed.
It may take violence on the border before our politicians pull their heads out of their butts. Personally I think the violence would be best directed against the treasoness elites who are inflicting this on us. It wouldn't break my heart to have the CEO of Tyson Chicken spitted and roasted on a cross.

http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif Right on Jack. But you can't grow the government on responsible citizens who want to take care of themselves. There is a lot of truth in the accusations about "big business" and "big government." Like love and marriage, they go together like a "horse and carriage." http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laff.gif

And then everyone will be asking why no one did anything, and when did they know that there were illegals crossing our borders, and other nonsense that still won't fix the problem. Then the action they DO take still will not fix anything, just like searching granny for her knitting needles at the airport didn't! (Name one 64 year old female who hijacked a commercial airliner... okay, now name how many men, ages 16 to 35, of arabic descent, have every done so... and we cannot 'profile' because it might hurt someone's feelings... oh, don't get me started on that topic!!!)
A fence, by gum! My country for a fence! (Which is what may spell the end of the USA: for lack of a fence, a country fell...) And watch the durn thing to see if anyone gets by it. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/withstupid.gif
Boy, I'm in a mood this evening... better go home and get some sleep...
