CRAWFORD, TX. (GOPUSA News) -- Borrowing a page from American history, President Bush continued to apply "Big Stick" diplomacy in dealing with Iraqi disarmament, declining to say that war is imminent.
Saying "I'm hopeful we won't have to go war, and let's leave it at that," President Bush continued his stance that a war with Iraq was not a foregone conclusion, even though war preparations in the region continue unabated.
With the announcement this past weekend of the deployment of the 3rd Infantry Division from Fort Benning Georgia to the Persian Gulf region, the Bush War Cabinet is making certain that the "stick" is large enough that it is clearly visible to Saddam Hussein.
Bush suggested that the U.S. would continue to prepare, but that it was up to Saddam to take the necessary steps to avert war. Thursday's comments followed something of a dust-up with reporters this weekend, when the President reminded one reporter that it was "his decision to make" to decide to go to war.

It won't surprise me very much if this President manages to get Saddam out of Iraq without firing a shot.
