WASHINGTON – U.S. military and intelligence sources expect Iran to launch major terrorist attacks against Western targets in anticipation of or in response to a U.S.-led attack on Iraq.

All Iranian-sponsored terrorist groups, including Hezbollah, which is increasingly seen as more potent and more dangerous than Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida network by many U.S. analysts, will be unleashed simultaneously on U.S. and allied targets around the world, according to WorldNetDaily intelligence sources.

Complicating the detection and prevention of such attacks, those sources say, is a breakdown in the National Security Agency's ability to collect information on activities in Iran.

Hezbollah's arsenal is its army of trained suicide bombers. (http://www.worldnetdaily.co m/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ ID=30172)

Hezbollah (as far as we know) significantly predates the beginnings of Al Qaeda, going back to before the creation of Israel in 1948.... it has always been one of the worst terrorist organizations in the world, similar only to Hammas, which is also a longstanding terror organization.

Did any of you hear about the mystery explosion in Lebanon on Sunday? It was a huge explosion and was thought to be an Iraqi missile in Hezbollah's hands that may have been meant for Israel. Whatever it was, it apparently went off prematurely and maybe some of the good little terrorists are now with Allah! * http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sarcasm.gif

True Mark but there is a difference between the Mullahs in Iran and the people. Most of the people hate the Mullahs for decimating their country. Most of the youth of Iran are the children of the sacrificed fathers in the long war with Iraq.

The Mullahs understand that if their enemy Iraq becomes a democracy, they will be the next nation that is likely to be overthrown. So they don't want Iraq to be defeated.

Well if Iran starts attacking we will be in Iraq anyway it's just next door so let's pay them a visit as well. I know this will be seen as an extrememist move but if they don't attack with their terrorist we have no reason to pay them a visit only if they attack will we pay Iran a visit.

I really think the reason Iran is threatening is, terrorism is like a family, just because you may not really like a family memeber dosen't mean you will let someone from outside the family do something against your cousin. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/angry.gif

Iran and Iraq all were part of Persia, and historically, have not been a very tolerant people for thousands of years (read the Book of Esther sometime). For all intensive purposes, the countries are very similar despite some differences. And both perhaps have a younger segment that does not approve of its leadership, but as long as the leadership is still in charge (in both countries) it makes little difference....

To anyone doubting that this thing with Iraq is going to go down, please note:

On Tuesday, the Commandant of the Marine Corps froze all discharges and retirements for one year.

Golly Miss Molly, why would they do a thing like that?

This afternoon I heard one of the pundits say that England's call for Bush to put Iraq off for a few months is a signal that it will happen. He said they would not do that without Bush's approval.

I don't know what to think about this so I thought I'd ask all of you. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif
