“Not One More American, Soldier Or Civilian, Must Be Sacrificed At The Altar Of Multiculturalism, Diversity, Open Borders…”
Sgt. Asan Akbar, a Muslim American soldier with the 326th Engineer Battalion, had an “attitude problem.”
According to his superiors and acquaintances, Akbar’s attitude was bitterly anti-American and staunchly pro-Muslim. So how did this devout follower of the so-called Religion of Peace work out his attitudinal problems last weekend?
By lobbing hand grenades and aiming his M-4 automatic rifle into three tents filled with sleeping commanding officers at the 101st Airborne Division’s 1st Brigade operations center in Kuwait.
Akbar is the lone suspect being detained in the despicable attack, which left more than a dozen wounded and one dead. Surviving soldiers say Akbar, found cowering in a bunker with shrapnel injuries, was overheard ranting after the assault: "You guys are coming into our countries, and you're going to rape our women and kill our children.”
“Our?” At least there’s no doubt about where this Religion of Peace practitioner’s true loyalties lie.
Naturally, apologists for Islam-gone-awry are hard at work dismissing this traitorous act of murder as an “isolated, individual act and not an _expression of faith.”
“It's bad enough we have to worry about enemy forces, but now we have to worry about our own guys," (http://www.vdare.com/malkin/multiculturalism.htm )
This is absolutely shocking. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/fire.gif http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/fire.gif http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/fire.gif We better get serious about this so called "peaceful" religion before this country winds up just like all the other "peaceful" Islamic nations who are protecting tyrants and terrorists and brutalizing their people. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/fire.gif http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/fire.gif http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/fire.gif

There are no peaceful religions.

Quote[/b] ]There are no peaceful religions.
Nor should there be--at least not peace without REASON or FREEDOM or JUSTICE.
Jesus said in Matthew 10:34 --
"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword." *
It is in the context that there is a COST to following Christ--sometimes at the cost of blood-shed.
Jesus preached "peace" but not at the cost of free will. He said to "turn the other cheek," but we must have a "cheek" to turn.
In fact, he encouraged the disciples to prepare for their defense at the time of the Last Supper when in Luke 22:36 and following--
Quote[/b] ]"He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. It is written: 'And he was numbered with the transgressors' ; and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in me. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment."
The disciples said, "See, Lord, here are two swords."
"That is enough," he replied.
The disciples as Apostles made the choice to be martyred for the faith--it was their CHOICE. They did not die out of weakness, or because they couldn't fight--they died out of strength.
Too often the pew sitter thinks they need to remain in a position of weakness and docility--but to "lay down your life for a friend" is greater.
I can't cite it, but a recent article I read also points to the Roman soldier's respect of Jesus' AUTHORITY--"Say it and it will be done..." and Jesus' response to this recognition of authority. Jesus did not say, "Now go, and don't be a soldier anymore." He said, "Go home, your son is healed."

Out of context and to the devil's own purpose.
Tell me where my post is not consistent with scripture and Jesus' teaching and I will stand corrected. *
Spit out Shakespeare when it suits you and you will convince no one your point is either valid, accurate, or true.
Jesus never spoke of peace that did not include justice. *He never spoke of sacrifice out of weakness.

I won't start out by quoting anyone, but if I knew where to find my old post, I would quote it. Without it, let me just restate what I said - Like it or not, Christianty will once again be at war with Islam. As long as the muslim religion produces fanatics we will always have a major problem. This doesn't mean that they are all bad people, but as long as they are led by the Mullahs, look out. We live in a wonderful society, but I would be just as afraid if one of our major religions gained to much power - they would then dictate their fanatical ways to the rest of us.

Consider all the various cultures throughout this world! *When you ponder all the differences, some very wide differences, does anyone really believe that all cultures are compatible?
In my opinion, Islamics should live only with other Islamics. *Now I know that is not a very politically correct POV, but then I have never really been accused of being PC.
Oh, and by the way! FWIW, when observing others, things don't really look the same over here as they do over there.

Here is where we find a real perception problem. To the West, the Middle East with its attendant problems is a political problem. We believe we can diplomatically curry favor and nudge the opposition into some kind of peaceful accommodation. We use money, diplomacy, military might and coersion to achieve the peace.
To the Islamist, the battle is a war between Islam and the Infidels. They are driven by religious fervor raised by fanatics, misinformation, misunderstanding and contempt for Western ways that they feel insult their religious sensibilities.
The West is fighting a practical fight using accepted diplomatic and military options. To the Islamist, the most effective weapons are those that do the most damage to their enemy and promote further recruitment of warriors for their cause. We fight for our concept of right. They fight for the right religion.
Since Mohammed, it has been the imperative of Islam to spread the religion. An imperative not unlike the Christian Crusades, Spanish Inquisition, the Holocaust and regional ethnic cleansing. Essentially, convert or die is the mantra.
In the West, especially the United States, the overriding concern is to accommodate everyone. We don't want to insult anyone. We accept ideas and lifestyles like they all sprang from the same loins. We do not want to believe that a major religion holds us in comtempt. We don't understand why the rest of the world doesn't like us. We call it political correctness, they call it weakness. We don't get it.
In nature, the strong survive. The meek may inherit the Earth but it will be a wasteland when the mighty are done with it. Humans are simply a higher lifeform (which some doubt) among the many lifeforms on Earth. We are not above the forces of nature. And nature does not suggest that the lion will invite the lamb in for a vegan dinner anytime soon.
The Islamists believe to their very core that they are doing the right thing. Not all Moslems, but the Islamists and other radicals. But even those who may be peaceful are empathetic to the rationale of the militants. They get encouragement from the madrassas, clerics and politicians. They are supported by states and NGOs that try to control the level of destruction in their own lands by appeasement. They are given boosts by the "useful idiots" who are PC or believe in appeasement and spout effluvium of accomodation and one-worldsmanship. They are also encouraged by the anti-right, anti-America types who blame America for everything and savage the president.
The West must lose its naivete and understand that even if we are not at war with Islam, Islam is at war with us. We must plan for and deal wih this threat as we would with any other - resolutely and from a position of strength.

RIGHT ON USN. I've said from the beginning, if we're not "at war" with Islam......we dern well should be.
I must admit that I'm getting very, very weary of alot of things "religious". I'm sick to death of the Pope and the utter nonsense coming out of his mouth. I'm equally as sick about the National Council of Churches and their left-wing lunacy.
I've never been truly "embedded" in religion. What's going on in the world right now is truly yanking me by the neck. Without frantic religion, the world would be a much more peaceful place IMO.
