View Full Version : Why aren't our borders closed?

In view of recent events, and the march toward a necessary war with Iraq and possibly N. Korea, I find it irresponsible that we have not closed our borders to all foreigners except by special permission by the Immigration Dept. Those that seek to destroy the US have proven time and again that it is far too easy to get into this country. I would hope that the Homeland Security would activate this action immediately. The next thing that needs to be done is to change the immigration laws because they are far too lax on foreigners.

<span style='font-family:comic sans ms'>Thanks for posting ladyvet! *I think most of us here agree with you that there is a severe border problem. *If I lived in Texas or California, I'm pretty sure I'd be in that citizen volunteer border patrol. *I would love to hear even the first peep out of the White House on this issue, but evidently they don't seem to care or I could be nice and say they have a lot of other things to think about right now. *But you are right, why fight terrorism when we're holding the door open for them? It's very frustrating.

Looks like I finally found a forum that I can call "home". I'm so tired of debating the same old crap with certain libs. The only posts I find I agree with on CNN's forum were the ones I posted a day before.
I DO live in a border state to Mexico. We have a group of guys near the border that have decided to pick up and defend their land.
Of course, the local news coverage, (though more right wing than not) STILL slanted the debate as "Patriots or Vigilantes?".
Brings up a good point. I think it's both. It's not as if our own state/govt is doing a darn thing about it, at least we still have the ability to do it ourselves.
Of course, my SW state is VERY cool with gun ownership, which is one of the reasons I moved from Calif.

Besides.....
Anyway, I think the people here on the borders are very much like the people in the last plane on 9/11. They're just not going to take any crap, they're not going to get any help and they're willing to fight. Kinda makes me wish I could be a part of it.
But that's the justice side of me. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I'm glad you like it here azwhitewolf. We've been fighting the border battle for a long time here and we're happy for reinforcements.
Stop by the Precinct thread when you have time. It serves as our Cafe and is a good place to get acquainted. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Welcome azwhitewolf - you found the best conservative site on the web. Feel free to jump right in on any subject - but especially Immigration http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif Its one of my favorites. Please join the rest of us in our writing campaign to our congressmen, senators and the Prez - the only way we will ever succeed in getting rid of the millions of illegals is to convince the politicians that it is the political smart thing to do.
