Congressman: Citizen Border Patrols a Racist Movement

WASHINGTON (GOPUSA News) -- Congressman Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) was quoted in the March 9 edition of the Arizona Republic referring to border vigilantism as "a racist movement." He has been working to get federal authorities to crack down on the citizen patrols that intercept illegal aliens crossing into the United States.

The members of the several groups that track illegals and report their locations to the U.S. Border Control see their mission as providing assistance to overwhelmed law enforcement officials. Chris Simcox, a member of the Civil Homeland Defense responded to Grijalva's charge by saying, "Since when did doing something to protect our country from an invasion make American citizens racist?"

Simcox suggested that Grijalva's radical past should be investigated.

Simcox told GOPUSA News, "We are good hearted, responsible, and humane citizens who are doing something... to protect American citizens."
