NORTH MYRTLE BEACH - Successful national defense starts at the local level with police, emergency medical services personnel and others working together to secure the nation's borders, former S.C. Attorney General Charlie Condon said Thursday during an address to the North Myrtle Beach Republican Club.

Condon, speaking at Ocean Drive Beach and Golf Resort, said there should be initiatives for states to allow local law enforcement to enforce immigration laws, because lack of enforcement at the national level led to the 2001 terrorist attacks, events that changed life in the United States forever.

"If this country can put a man on the moon, it can enforce its immigration laws," Condon said, stressing that he's not against immigration but for better enforcement of existing immigration laws.

From what I've learned, more Republicans at the local and state level are starting to act very serious on the negative impact of massive immigration, including illegal immigration, that's affecting over millions of Americans.

Slowly, but growing I see more guys in the Republican Party that is joining Tancredo on discussing on this issue. I think in order for the Republicans to be a powerful opposition to illegal immigration, we must vote the open-border RINO (Republican In Name Only) out of office and elect a conservative Republican who will put Americans First!

There is absolutely no point in opening doors to massive illegal immigration when our government has completely failed to integrate the existing communities who have lived here for years. Look at the situation in California, more legal immigrants are not assimilating themselves because illegal immigration is out of control. I think California is a lost cause but as for the rest of the country, hope is still alive.
