Mexican consulate staff posing as U.S. immigration agents interfered with a murder and smuggling probe following a border patrol chase of illegal aliens that ended in a fatal freeway crash near San Diego.

The incident, which appears to be a breach of national sovereignty and security, began last Thursday when U.S. Border Patrol agents and California Highway Patrol officers chased a pickup truck loaded with Mexicans believed to have entered the U.S. illegally, according to San Diego radio talk show host Roger Hedgecock, whose staff has been investigating the story.

After crossing spike strips laid down by police, the fleeing truck hit a freeway abutment on Interstate 8, about 40 miles east of San Diego, and crashed, killing two women.

Our(?) government must demand to know who gave these people U.S. law enforcement badges. *Those responsible for that should be terminated immediately no matter how high up and no matter how well connected.

And those Mexicans who masqueraded as American government officials need to be iidentified and ordered out of the country. If you or I were to do this, we would be arrested and jailed, charged with a crime of impersonating a federal law enforcement officer.

This demands a sincere protest from the highest levels of our government to the highest levels of the Mexican government. *They are indeed acting as if they really do run our immigration program! *

I wrote Fairus and asked if they could get all the different groups together and bring a lawsuit against the government officials for not protecting the American people - so far, no answer. I said that if they didn't think that was possible, the next thing would be to get a petition rolling through all the different groups and present it to the Prez - should get some attention.

Perhaps you weren't aware of the million or so illegals that the INS, per brother Clinton, fastracked through naturalization just in time to vote in the 1996 election. I used to have a link to the article, but it doesn't work any longer. Of course, if you are interested, you can probably find out by researching the INS records on naturalization for 1994 &amp; 1995. However, let me go on the record as saying, I am not happy about Bush's stance on illegal immigration. That's why, like Der Alte, I keep writing my elected officials and the Prez. In fact, I just wrote a dandy little note to Marc Racicott informing him if they didn't get off the stick when it comes to illegal immigration I would no longer support them with my membership ~ translated $$$.
