Immigration Subcommittee Update
The House and Senate Immigration Subcommittees are currently in the process of organizing for the 108th Congress. These Subcommittees will have a significant impact on any immigration legislation considered this Congress. Last week, we updated you on the Republican members selected to serve on the House Immigration Subcommittee. Democratic appointments have now been made for the House and Senate Immigration Subcommittees. Below is a complete list of the House Immigration Subcommittee and a list of the Democrats selected to serve on the Senate Immigration Subcommittee. (We are still awaiting Republican appointments to the Senate Subcommittee.)
While reliable reports indicate that Senator Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) will be named chairman of the Senate Immigration Subcommittee, an official appointment has not yet been made. We will let you know when he is officially named chairman.

With appointments like some of these, we are sure to have an uphill battle. From the democratic appointments it appears that they have an open border agenda.
