They've taught them well haven't they? The only question I have now is, were the congresswomen and the mayor involved? They had to be. Why else would these idiots target GOP vans, unless they were instructed to do so? They apparently aren't smart enough to have thought it up all by themselves..

A highlight to an otherwise sad week:
Way back in November, you might remember that the Princess was doing a "pie chart" polling people on their favorite Thanksgiving desert. Well, she wrote a letter to Mrs. Bush, asking if she would mind telling her what she and the President liked best. I told her that in the midst of of the election, and all, not to get her hopes up for an answer. But she was proud of the letter...she had signed her own name (I wrote the rest for her), and mentioned that she was living in Germany because her Daddy was in the Army, and how very glad we were that President Bush was re-elected. Anyway, she had finally forgotten about the letter...for the first 2 weeks after mailing it, she wanted to check the mail everyday for an answer...LOL Well, hubby came home yesterday with a huge envelope tucked under his arm...and he said..."I know!" You know what??? LOL "I know what kind of pie the President and his wife like best for Thanksgiving!" Then he proceeded to take us out to dinner....without the envelope....and without reading it first...sufficiently tourtured, we finally got home, and Rosie and I opened the treasure....
It turns out that the letter Rosie and I wrote got lost...Mrs Bush received it on Feb 2nd! In addition to her letter (I don't think it was signed by an autopen...because it is slightly different from the usual signature that you see), there was the generic photo of the President and his wife, a stack of recipe cards, with their favorite recipes, and another stack of smaller photos...one of which being our President, which Mrs Bush had him sign! There was also a picture of Barney http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif
Anyway, I'd love to share the contents of the letter, but I don't know if that would go against the rules of the group...Terri? I can tell you all the answer to the "great question" though...but after the anticipation build up...I might just have to leave you all hanging for a bit... MUAHAHAHA!!!
But, you know, I should wait until everyone is awake before sharing the answer, shouldn't I? That would be polite...so, let's see...9AM west Coast time, would be 6PM my time...only 7 hours away...but then I forget that we might have friends in HA or AK...so, I'll need to wait longer for it to be 9AM there....LOL
OK, you know the saying...the early bird...the President and his wife like Pumpkin Pie the best for Thanksgiving! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
And now, I must run...the Commissary is calling, and I have this recipe that I just HAVE to try!!!! LOL
take care dear friends! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

LAW, that is so neat that Rosie got a letter from Mrs. Bush. It was a good time to get it, too. You all deserved to have something good happen this week.
I didn't see Bill Maher. I was watching the dog show (much more interesting than Maher). However, given what I've seen of him, it wouldn't surprise me if he said exactly that.

Wow, you mean those people at CBS aren't going to "take one for the team"? Good for them. This whole Guard "story" stinks up the place and Moonves and Rather need to have their feet held to the fire regarding their roles in this
Danny, thanks for the heads-up about the milk and cookies. I had thought we could use some of Katy's goodies to draw the little monsters out. Had we done so, we could have had a disaster, possibly leading to a quagmire! Good Morning everyone http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
LAW -- that is so cool about the letter and receipes from the Pres. and Mrs. Bush & Barney!
Sad News with 3ID loosing a soldier in Iraq. *My hubby says he was an E7 - but even though the family has been notified, as of this typing, his name has not been released to the public. *3ID hasn't been in that part of the country more than a week yet. *We get daily updates in our local paper as to what they are doing, and one of the POAs calls a local radio station on Tuesdays and Thursdays giving everyone updates.
Our Bubba's mouth cancer appears to have come back. He goes to the vet on Friday for bloodwork and a chest x-ray and then we get a referral to Auburn University up the road to their vet school/clinic for further tests. *If the treatment is going to do more damage and harm, we have decided to let him go to god. *Surgery for this cancer and chemo could extend his life 1 to 2 years - but if it's going to be a pain filled life, Dan and I can't accept that for him.
Suppose to be 70 around these parts today -- just doesn't seem like winter, but then that's why I live in the south http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Is there a TV blocking thingy that I can use so that whenever they mention Michael Jackson the screen goes blank and the sound mutes? *I'm so http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/barf.gif of hearing about him, and now he's in the hospital with the flu. *Yeah right -- give me a break. *Flu my backside!
The people that run the Oscars are standing behind their choice of Chris Rock -- what's that say about their moral values? *I won't watch anyway.
Sunday is the Daytona 500 WHOOOOHOOOO!!! *So glad a real sport is finally coming back around to it's season. :P
I guess I've used up enough rambling space for now .. off to check out the rest of the net before heading out to work.
Have a great day everyone!

Poor Bill Maher is so ugly that all he has going is hate and that leaves him a pretty small liberal audience.

Good Morning Each and Everyone!
Cloudy outside, sunshiney inside.
Chores today - some fun (food shopping) some less than fun (cleaning).
I don't remember dirtier anything, yet it needs cleaning. One of life's mysteries.
We had a cat once with cancer in her ear. We had it scraped out three times and it came back. In retrospect I think that was a poor choice. We should have had it done once and then let the cat go in peace the second time.
Long walk for me this morning.
All the chocolate is gone - WAH!!
So, back to the very straight and very narrow corridor of abstemious food consumption. It's a compromise: less food, less guilt.
Hope you all have a marvelous day and unabstemious day.

G-R, you are in my thoughts and prayers for your mother. *Is she able to have Hospice care for her? *I can't remember if she is in a nursing home or not...sorry. *My grandfather was cared for by Hospice in the Nursing Home and they were wonderful! *Their concern, since he was never going to recover, was to keep him comfortable and to ease his passing. *They are very compassionate. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/angel.gif

Good Morning all you wonderfully conservative people you. This place is always the bright shiny spot in my day, in a world were I am surrounded by Dem's all day, that talk trash (and they do it alot)
On a side note finally got my wife lastnight to watch Sean Hannity and she fell in love with him.
She caught the part with the so called Vets for Peace, local chairman, was supporting the soldier hung in effigy against the war. First, she was sickened by the sight of the mock soldier, and then she saw how SH was laying into this guy, a veteran who said we have no clear exit stratgey, and that our soldiers don't even know why they are there, before being cut off by Mr. Colmes. She immediately turned to me and said that she loved the guy.
And then this morning I find out that Wacko Jacko is on the Peds floor of the hospital he is in. Is someone on crack why is he on a floor with children during trial. It was said the staff of the hospital put up dividers in his room to protect his privacy and he wanted them taken down, me thinks he was trying to sneak a peek.
And the classic part is that the basically closed the ER that he went to when he arrived they moved everyone out of the ER including heart patients, because of course the flu is much more important then any heart patient will ever be.
Well I will keep reading and enjoying. You folks have a good day.

Wow! Great poem from Russ Vaughn, Terri. I bookmarked the site. Do they have many of his poems there? A lot, I hope. He really knows how to turn a phrase.
Time to get off my duff and do something. I have a new prescription provider and without reading the fine print I was expecting to be able to call them. Not so. My doctor has to get a fax form and then fill it in and send it back to them. Guess who will be "unmedicated" for about a week or so? My own fault. I should have read it more thoroughly. Actually, I can have the doc prescribe a 14 day supply from my local pharmacy besides the mail-order prescription. The staff at the doc's office will be so happy to find out they have a lot more work now. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Hello everyone.
I wish I were able to express the happiness that is within me to be back in the Precinct.
Had a great time down in Virginia, seeing old friends and renewing old times, however it is good to be back in the comforts of this ole apartment.I'm sure ya'll remember that old saying "there's no place like home,no matter where that home may be".Well bravehearts, that fits me like a glove. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Nothing earthshattering to report, except SSDD.(Same Stuff Different Day) http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif
Finally finished all the email(283) that accumulated in my absence, even though I attempted to inform some that young William would be gone for a week. All that is left to do is IM a friend and finish the admin stuff(addy changes and ect.)Which I'm off to do now.
C-ya'll around the campus.

LAW, I am so happy for you and the princess! What a wonderful thing to happen in the midst of your sorrow over Tyr's passing! God knows just what we need and exactly when we need it.
I Still treasure the personal letter i got from President Bush 41, during the first Gulf War. I had sent him a cassette of a song parody that mocked Saddam Hussein. I also got a personal letter from his secretery Shirley Green who also heard the tape and had a good laugh. Both hang on the wall of my studio, along with several letters from the current President Bush. The song was to the tune of "Bye Bye Blackbird".
It was called "Bye Bye Baghdad" and it was probably a wee bit too naughty for the forum. Besides, i don't remember it all.
OK you twisted my arm. One verse. Remember this was 14 years ago!
Pack up all my Patriots
Lasers, SLAMS, and Tomahawks
Bye Bye baghdad
Where Saddam is hiding out
Flatten it and take him out
Bye Bye Baghdad
All the nations of the world despise you
Each one wants to be the one who fries you
We're not afraid of poison gas
We're just here to kick your @ss
Baghdad, Bye bye!
(There were five more verses but i can't remember them. I'm getting old i guess)

LAW: I am so happy for you and your daughter. Better hang on to it. This President could very well be the best President we ever have. I will depend on the people following his lead though. But, if he gets this country turned around and headed back on a moral course, gets things moving to fix Social Security and the IRS system, he will be the greatest. I don't mean to lessen the importance of the War on Terrorism, but the moral fiber of this nation is what will KEEP it able to fight this war and other battles for our freedom. Thus, I am so proud to have campaigned for a person who sees the importance of the "base" that drives the morals, economic engine, and well-being of our people. That base is Christian Principles that are in-turn based on self-discipline and individual responsibility.
So, that letter, even though you will never sell it, will be worth a lot of money someday. You have something many people will some day be willing to give an "eye tooth" for.

From what I got off the net - evidently Eury Jr and DE Jr were getting into disagreements, and DE JR was disappointed in a lot of failures of the last season. What they did was send Eury Jr and his team to Waltrip's team, and Waltrips crew team is going to DE JR's team. We'll see -- they had a massive failure at the Bud Shoot out in the first 20 laps Saturday night.

Well this little thing has gotten people to wonder about the validty of the charges that have been leveled.
It seems that Syria and Iran have joined hands. It seems that the assassination of the former Prime Minister of Lebennon has triggered the response that President Bush wanted. Even the New York Slimes is calling for the invaision of Syria.
LAW, that letter from Laura Bush to Rosie, made my day. Once again, it shows the class of our President and First Lady. I know that rosie will cherish that letter for the rest of her life.
I hope that the prosecutors in the tire slashing case throws the book at these terrorists. He also needs to put the mayor and the other person in jail for inciting terror. Yes, these people are terrorists, the same as the terrorists that are killing the people in Iraq.

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY.
I see we are all in fine fettle today.
GR, I just wanted to extend my prayers for you and your mom. *I hope she is being kept comfortable and well taken care of.
LAW, I was sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved Tyr. *It is very hard to part with a family member, but God made up for it with the wonderful things you and Rosie received from Pres and Laura. *How very nice of them.
I have a few things I'd like to bring to light here today. *One is that Lars Larson announced on his nationwide show last night that some Vienna lawyers had filed a lawsuit in NY Federal District Court against the US for "failing" to notify the countries of the tsunami disaster. *Does anybody besides me see a certain mind set here? I didn't realize that we were able to notify the other side of the world. WHERE WAS THEIR GOVERNMENT? I hear they didn't want to notify anybody because it would "hurt" the tourist trade!!! Talk about nuts. I put the Vienna lawyers and the country governments in the same category: they're all insane and have been drinking of the left Kool-Aid fountain.
The second item I want to bring to light is that a woman (and I use that term very loosely) shook and hit her 8 week old baby girl to death (1n 1998) and the DA in Atlanta, GA, offered a "deal" to her lawyer that she wouldn't be prosecuted if she had her tubes tied. *What a deal!!! *Of course, she agreed. *Two years and two kids later, she still has not had it done, and she is still walking around while her tiny baby is dead.
The further disgusting facts of this matter are that this woman - her name is Carisa Ashe and the baby's name was Destiny - has a total of 8 kids by 8 different men.
This was on BOR last night and he got the email address of this "prosecutor" Paul Howard so people could email the jerk and let him know what we think. *The email is: erik.friedly@co.fult on.ga.us. *I am going to email this miserable excuse of a DA and ask him if the woman who did this heinous thing was white, would he have still left her unprosecuted SEVEN YEARS LATER? *in case you haven't guessed, both the criminal and the DA are black.
Okay, so much for my contribution today. *Sorry, I can't be so light-hearted with this sort of crap going on on a daily basis.
I would appreciate all those of similar persuasion as I am...to email this louse with a serious statement.
Check back later...if I get time.
Y'all take care.

It is said that he was placed on this floor because there is additional security on the peds floor that is not on other floors in this hospital he is in because of issues hospitals have had with abductions of babies from the hospital. *Go figure, people who abduct babies can't get on the floor but people who have been charged with molestation can. *Only in Hollyweird can things like this happen.

Hello everybody!
I am running late today. Been trying to clear up a problem at the shop. Its seems a box of checks I had ordered was stolen by someone. Now they have written almost 2000.00 in checks on my act. We closed the account after I found out...but now I am getting calls and letters from people this person has bought from..and now having to explain and send a affadvait of Forgery. So faxing and calling all morning. If you wish to avoid this problem...more checks are stolen from the post office...so have your checks sent by another carrier..I have learned this one the hard way. I cannot even write a check to walmart at present. So many people out to get you any way they can.
Heard the little deal about syria and iran...sounds pretty scary to me. I wonder what the WH thinks about this?
LAW...such a nice thing for the First Lady to do...but I knew always she is a class act. You should have that framed for Rosie so I will be protected. Sorry to hear about your pup...but I sent PM to say that to you.
GR....so sorry about your mom...Dont know what to tell you..except hang in there.
Ok....just wanted to say hello...I have gotten way out of pocket this week...and I dont like not being here.

It seems to me the Smurfs is tag teaming with the underwater Snorks. *The Snorks was spotted by a well known sushi chef in Jacksonville. *They stopped by and purchased 3 containers of sushi. *Also, the Snorks were told to drop by a Gainesville paint store to purchase 25 cans of blue paint. *
Would anyone like to guess what they are going to do with their purchases? *They sound mighty suspicious too me. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yes.gif

If I have to clean up anymore Blue Blood or blue paint stains, I'm takin' my apron off and hauling http://jm.g.free.fr/smileys/unclassified/bocul.gif out of here. That may seem cheeky to some but do you know how hard those stains are to clean.
Oh, wait, I may come back for donuts.

Man Oh Man i wish I could remember the rest of the verses of Bye Bye Baghdad. It actually got AIRPLAY back in 1991 on Armed Forces radio and on WBCN in Boston on the Mark Parento comedy break at 5:00PM, several afternoons. It was over five minutes long but mark played it anyway in its entirety.
Some lines that come to mind:
Your soldiers all have fleas and lice
And other things that aren't so nice
Bye Bye Baghdad
To the whole Mid East you are a cancer
If Allah's on your side , why don't he answer?
That's all I can remember now.
Oh yeah, i also sang it at the Chelsea Soldiers Home.
Gotta check the threads!

Katy http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laff.gif
What am I doing? This is no laughing matter! This is serious stuff. I knew they were close to Florida, but I didn't know they were IN Florida!
That explains all the chaos that took place during the Super-Bowl. It was them. They caused ALL the restrooms on the second level of Alltel Stadium to back up. Ewwwwwwww, and it didn't smell like sushi either. This really happened folks. Jacksonville is unfit to host a Super-Bowl, so we shouldn't be permitted to host another one EVER again. I apologize to all those folks who had to go through that. We weren't as nice to people either as they claimed we were. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/no.gif
There's lots more to tell, but Katy will probably get upset with me if I continue to bash Jacksonville, so I better shut up while I still have a chance.
OhioWoman, I think it's time we invested in another http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tank.gif Don't yell at me. I know we're low on $$, but we must be prepared.
BTW, I'm sorry to report this, but, remember the Anti-Smurf weapon I was so proud of? He ran away again. There's a female in the area, and apparently that's more important to him than the survival of mankind...I plan on shooting him once he returns ... I've had with the little creep.
Anyway. Hope you all had a good day.

Boy, there's an awful lot of complaining about some blue blood. We're trying to save the world from Smurfs and this is the thanks we get. And now we're going to have to deal with Snorks! I can imagine the grief we'll get about that!
Danny, it's okay about the tank. When I heard about the Snorks, I thought we might need one. Then, when Katy revealed the information about the paint and the sushi, I knew we were in trouble. No fighting over who gets to drive - the four of us can take turns.
Clearly, we can't count on the Anti-Smurf weapon. We can rely only on one another.
I'll take the next clean-up detail. It's only fair to rotate the duty.

<span style='color:tan'><span style='font-size:11pt;line-height:100%'>Good Evening!</span></span> Welcome to our new members http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif . I had a marvelous night last night at the Ag Hall of Fame Banquet at our State Fair in Tampa. 5 worthy inductees who spent their lives serving Florida agriculture were inducted. I have gone to this annual event continuously since 1989 http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif . The food was great too (as you would expect) consisting of filet mignon and chicken, salad, rolls, mashed potatoes (I knew Basheva would notice those), and chocolate cheesecake for dessert. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif Even better, there were over 800 of the most prominent people in Florida agriculture there, so you can be sure I was campaigning my little, er, http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/jacka.gif off. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Made oodles of great contacts, even some who plan to send checks http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif . It was the end to a long day which included a morning Peace River Citrus Growers association meeting, showing our grove to someone, a Joshua water control district meeting, and then head up to Tampa. In between I got a whole 20 minutes at the office! Today was the Citrus Commission monthly meeting, so was in Lakeland all day. Tonight was the Troop Court of Honor. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif Mitchell received 5 more merit badges, bringing him up to a whopping 39 at present, and David received another 3 merit badges. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
GR, best wishes for your mother.

As the only female in our household while my son was growing up I found the perfect place to hide chocolate. The undies drawer. Under the undies in the undies drawer. Men never look there. HA HA
Well, no more chocolate here till my anniversary. So, that's what I am looking forward to.
It's supposed to rain tomorrow and for the next several days. But that's what they told us on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and it didn't happen. So, why believe it now?
I do miss those raspberry creams covered with dark chocolate....I am going through withdrawals right about now and damping it down with dried fruit.
Which I also love. Dried cherries - yum.
