Monday was the most heated day yet at the Capitol for the subject of giving driver’s licenses to undocumented residents in Georgia. Anti-immigrant[Immigration Reform]representatives stood at the doors of the House chamber, while civil rights advocates with the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Educational Fund stood nearby rallying votes and urging people to support the legislation sponsored by state Rep. Pedro Marín (D-Duluth) and state Sen. Sam Zamarripa (D-Atlanta).
Defeat on the house floor
Zamarripa and Marín had high hopes for passing HB 578, the bill they defended as a public safety issue tied to economic development and the Free Trade Area of the Americas. Supporting the effort were heavyweights such as the Speaker of House, the chairman of the House Motor Vehicles Committee, the Majority leader of the Senate and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate. The bill was defeated 64-105.

Hey guys! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Long time and no see, I haven't talked to you guys for a while, but sometimes I visit this website whenever I have the time.
I was onboard on the Carl Vinson for more than two weeks. So far, I am enjoying every minute of it. I met a lot of friendly people at the Vinson and everyday I'm making a lot of friends.
In the first week of staying, I had a week of INDOC, which is an introduction of the Ship, rules and regulations, ship's mission, getting to know the ship, etc.
Currently, I'm learning on my rating and I am planning to take some classes on Math and History. Unfortunately, internet connection here on the ship is so slow that sometimes getting into this website takes me forever because we're in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
While we're overseas protecting America, patriotic Americans here at home are fighting another war: War against Liberalism, Leftist Media and Illegal Immigration.
The reason why the House in Georgia made the right thing by voting against this bill that would give driver licenses to illegals because of the pressure coming from concerned Americans by making a lot of phone calls to their local politicians and the internet from Immigration Reform groups like FAIR and NumbersUsa.
Thank you for your full support while we're embarking on in the name of FREEDOM for all people around the world. Let pray for the downfall of Saddam and show the whole entire world that the US will not let Freedom be destroyed by Dictators .
