A quick check of LexisNexis reveals that Colorado’s premier bloggers, the Rocky Mountain Alliance of course, are the first bloggers in the nation specifically invited to attend and provide coverage of a State of the State address. Why? Because blogs are the New Media. Savvy politicians and business people understand the role of New Media in the Information Reformation.

The offices of Colorado Governor Bill Owens, in conjunction with the office of House Minority Leader Joe Stengel, have arranged for the RMA to be strategically seated in the gallery during the Governor’s speech on Thursday, January 13, 2005. After the speech, RMA members will attend a private session with the Governor and his staff in the Executive’s conference room and chambers.

Online publishing is overtaking print journalism in many spheres. It's also true in art criticism. Online critique is more timely, more interactive, and much more open to scrutiny.

Politics is not the only place it's happening.
