HOMELAND SECURITY is our most serious issue after the war on terrorisim. I have a suggestion on who should head up this most important position now that Bernie Kerik has withdrawn his name.
* HOW about the "G" Man, aka G. Gordon Liddy. I know what some people will scream that he has a criminal record, and should not be allowed to hold this position. It is true he went to prison, but for being involved in the break in of the Democratic office in the Watergate Bldg. In my mind that is quite a bit less than stealing, and pilferring from our national Security archives whic no one seems concerned enough to prosecute Sandy berger.
* G. Gordon Liddys real sin was remaining loyal to president Nixon and refusing to testify against him when all around him were copping pleas, or becoming Born Again Christians.
* Liddy stayed loyal, went to prison, and is a better person than some sitting members of congress.
* If the "G" Man runs the borders you can be darned sure the illegals, and terrorist influx will dribble down to a trickle.
