Dear MGM:

Please, no, no, no, say it isn't so! *Don't defile the memories of the victims of 9-11 by allowing Mr. and Mrs. Sarandon to be involved with anything related to this national tragedy...Their blatant anti-Americanism taints any effort on their part to attempt to create a film about this event. *This is not only disgraceful, it will not be financially successful for your company. *The American public just won't tolerate it.

Film plan for Twin Towers hero

Susan Sarandon is an Oscar winning actress

Hollywood couple Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon are to make a film about the 11 September attacks in New York, focusing on the bravery of a British security officer.
Robbins and Sarandon are to base their film on the bravery of Rick Rescorla, a Cornwall-born war hero, who died in the attacks saving thousands of people.

Of course, the hero can't be an American!

Yes, we've already witnessed during the anti-war rallies how "peaceful" these people truly are...They are willing to resort to violence to make themselves heard...

Death Threats Flood Anti-Hollywood Celebrity Websites
By Marc Morano
WWW.CNSNews.com Senior Staff Writer
April 21, 2003

(CNSNews.com) - The sponsors of at least two different websites chronicling the anti-war statements and activities of Hollywood celebrities, say they're being inundated with death threats from "anti-war pacifist" supporters of the celebrities.

The sponsor of one of the sites, who would only identify himself as Tim C., said he has received nearly 100 death threats since starting www.famousidiot.com less than two months ago. Tim's mother and wife want him to stop exposing Hollywood's liberal activists out of fear for his personal safety.

"If they are anti-war pacifists, they're the most violent people I have ever met in my life. It's really unbelievable," Tim C., told CNSNews.com. The website's motto is: "They (Hollywood) don't speak for us."

The author of another anti-celebrity activist website, www.HollywoodHalfWit s.com, dedicated to "exposing the ignorance, insanity and anti-Americanism of Hollywood celebrities," also claims defenders of Hollywood activists are anything but pacifist.

"I have received death threats, thousands of virus-laden emails, words of pure hatred, all this from the peace-loving, compassionate free-speech left," Mark of HollywoodHalfWits.co m told CNSNews.com. Mark declined to reveal his last name as a safety precaution.

"I'm just an average American living in a small town in California. Due to the threats in the hate mail I get, that's all I can say," Mark said.

Tim C. of Famousidiot.com said the threats are relentless. "I receive on average one death threat a day ... we had no clue that these folks feel that strongly," he explained.

http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/flag17.gif I do not think they should be allowed to make a movie about this horriable attack on america. I emailed the company via the link you put in your post.. I hope it will make them stop, but it will take a great deal of us to say no to them..

Here is the email that I have sent to MGM...

I am writing to formally protest the concept, that has been published in the news, that you are considering Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins in title roles in a movie about 9/11. To cast these people, who have made outrageous and inflammatory remarks, insensitive in nature and defamatory, to star in a vehicle commemorating one of the saddest days in our Nation's history is disgusting and insensitive. Secondly, to make the story about a British citizen over the many heroic Americans who struggled and died there is an added insult. If you make this film, I and my family will personally avoid any productions proffered by your company in the theaters and even to those on television.

Ms. Sarandon and Mr. Robbins do have the absolute right to express their "opinions", no matter how misguided, but I have, in turn, the absolute right to protest my disgust and indignation of their viewpoint by not viewing any of their productions. Unfortunately, those in Hollywood have gotten into such a rarified atmosphere that they have lost contact with the average American who pays the money for the tickets to the movies they make. Everyone has the right to take a position, but there are consequences to every action, and they must understand this.

IF THEY DON'T WE WILL HIT THEM IN THE POCKETBOOK, THAT THEY WILL UNDERSTAND.

OH, IT'S TRULY A GLORIOUS DAY FOR AMERICAN FREEDOM WHEN ACTORS ARE BARRED FROM BEING CAST IN FILMS BASED ON THEIR POLITICAL VIEWS. AND HOW DARE MGM EVEN THINK TO RECOGNIZE A THE EFFORTS AND BRAVERY OF A *FOREIGNER* (GASP!) IN THE SEPTEMBER 11 ATTACKS. KNOWING THOSE FOREIGNERS, HE PROBABLY HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Some people just don't get it...Why is the liberal left allowed to boycott ENTIRE STATES because they find their flag offensive, yet conservative Americans aren't allowed to tell companies how they feel?

I thought a great summary of all of this comes straight from President Bush, in his interview with Tom Brokaw:

Tom Brokaw: Well, the Dixie Chicks, for example. Would you have them come to the White House?

President Bush: I mean, the Dixie Chicks are free to speak their mind. They can say what they want to say. And just because — they shouldn’t have their feelings hurt just because some people don’t want to buy their records when they speak out. You know, freedom is a two-way street. But I have — don’t really care what the Dixie Chicks said. I want to do what I think is right for the American people, and if some singers or Hollywood stars feel like speaking out, that’s fine. That’s the great thing about America. It stands in stark contrast to Iraq, by the way.

This is just funny. The year he graduated, Bush was the only person accepted at Yale and rejected at Texas A&M. He also got straight C's at Yale at snorted cocaine while he was there. He was accepted because of his family and because his father went there. Make whatever arugment you want, Klaymore, but please don't drag out BS like this.

Also you never rebutted my second paragraph so I will assume that I made my point for this topic and will wait your answer.

Hmmm, going off topic, yet I do my best to hammer the illegitimate and illinformed with intellect and logic and since it has already travelled here I think I will go along for the ride.
My degree is from A&M and, like Klaymore, I am interested in knowing where your degree is from.
You have made some very serious allegations against someone for drug abuse and ethics violations without evidence, much less offering any proof. This is referred to as libel and slander unless you are able to support your baseless accusations. It doesn't take a college degree to understand that unless you can support your statement, I have pointed out the fact that you are nothing more than a liar.
It's a very good thing that it is obvious that you are neither a business owner or in management. Making false allegations against another individual is both an ethics violation and slander which may result in litigation procedures against you and can result in tort damages. One of the very first things they teach you in business ethics class. Now, where did you say 'YOUR' degree is from "rellybois"?
