Mr. Barton--

Please ignore these protesters attacking your company, Catepillar. Seems they are attacking your company solely for selling bulldozers to Israel. They should place the blame for Rachel Corrie's death solely on her shoulders. Many loyal Americans feel that Rachel Corrie is responsible for her own death. Amazingly, none of them seem willing to admit that she was a flag-burning America hater...I feel no sympathy for her, she chose her own path. I wonder if this college professor, Mark Lance, teaches hatred for America in his classroom? Sad.

Copying the University president as well, he should be aware of the activities of his staff. In light of the recent backlash at Columbia, I'm sure GU would like to be spared of this embarrassment.

I am also forwarding this to many of my fellow Americans that will also voice their support for you.

Mr. Barton,

*The protesters who attempt to attack your company, Caterpillar, are cowardly individuals with personal agendas designed to intimidate and coerce through manipulation by abusing their positions. The fact that you will not be overcome by such cowardice shows that you are a businessman of complete, honest, high ethical standards, and integrity. It is beyond time that American businesses return to the day to day operations of conducting business and ignore those who wish to impose their maligned, anti-American, anti-Capitalistic and morally misdirecting restrictions in a vain attempt to overpower political support for the allies of the United States. Mr.Barton, not only do I admire you for your strength to continue doing business as you are but I commend you as well.
For them to attempt to place blame of a completely foolish individual's death (Rachel Corrie placing herself in front of an operating bulldozer) onto your company is completely ignorant, which brings into question the competence of the Prof. Mark Lance (Georgetown) and his ability to teach facts pertaining to his classes and not indoctrinate political philosophies to impressionable youth who have no choice but to agree with him in his classroom in order to receive a passing grade. I truly believe it is the ideologies of himself and those like him that resulted in Rachel Corrie's death, and ultimately, they are responsible.
Even Columbia has recently been humbled, suffering a backlash of great opposition from students and contributing members of society. These educators seemed to have forgotten that elitism is not a substitution for their foolishness and stupidity. Their arcane political philosophies and agendas will not be able to plague their cancer upon the youth and find it's way into the ethical businesses of tomorrow as long as we continue to have men of your high integrity continue running our businesses of today. The sooner these subversive, (non)educators learn they cannot intimidate the men running businesses such as yourself, the sooner the threat against America's Capitalism and Republic Democracy will be restored to it's greatness and full potential.

Hodges, I am not only a partner/owner of a well known oil company by the same last name in Oklahoma City (that's in Oklahoma, by the way) but the heir/ owner of the T/O Ranch conglomerate which consists of not only forty-two sections of agricultural land (by the way, a section consists of six hundred forty acres, in case you're still lost, that's one square mile per section), but of several other related businesses. If you happen to look for me, I'm easily found among the business circles of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and among Dallas and Amarillo, Texas.
Mr. Lance, unlike you, I do not hide within the obscure recesses of a classroom and behind a title of "educator" in order to indoctrinate my political philosophies to small masses who have no other choice but to accept your political philosophies or receive a failing grade. You do seem to have a captive audience enslaved to you. I, unlike you, proudly and openly discuss my political philosophies among those who have the free option to either agree or disagree. You sir, restrict opposition to you with the choice of accepting a failing grade. That is cowardice in it's finest, the ability to impose and intimidate your beliefs on others who have little if any choice but to appease you. There is a word used to describe your tactics, it called fascism.
No, the irony comes in the form of people such as yourself who fail to witness the hypocrisy of your own words. You see, Mr.Lance, you elevate yourself to a greater importance than you actually serve. The fact that you wasted our time with an email that lacks any substance or debate to support your own beliefs only reinforces that evidence. Irony? Lee, it didn't stop THERE! LOL, In a vain attempt he continued to seek redemption from me by sending me about another five emails whereas he only succeeded in accomplishing defecation with his self expression.

Just be what you already are, a Texan (which means you were born with common sense pre-installed), and express yourself from the heart. If our president can, so can you (And at my last observation, his approval rating was in the upper seventies!).
Thank you for your sweet words. I had a blast with that imbecile yesterday. I replied to all his emails in much the same manner following my first response. You could tell he was so angry that he must have literally been spitting nails. You would think that a professor at a leading university would better (or, at least more professionally) express oneself. His correspondence was equalled by the mentality of a scorned seven year old child that had been sent to bed without any dinner. It was more than obvious I had dismembered his ego. Which, before it was completely deflated, must have been as large as the Titanic (but sank twice as quickly). He had all of my people in the office laughing through an otherwise dull Monday. His final email was the funniest when he completely reduced himself to childish name calling. Do you think I may have irritated him? <SMILES> Nawww, I wouldn't do that, would I? Maybe he'll hesitate next time before he attempts sending emails to someone much more intellectually superior (which, judging from his emails, must include 99% of the human race).
