Let's post any links that we run across that offer petitions to support America, the President, or our troops.

We can also post links to companies who sponsor anti war activities, etc.

I think we should write letters to various companies who donate goods, money, and so forth to helping our troops overseas. One of these companies was Outback Steakhouse where their 'Mission Outback' helped feed 6,400 United States and coalition troops.

Writing a letter of thanks to a company like Outback Steakhouse, althought it might seem silly, will help others come out in support of our boys.

You can read about 'Mission Outback' at the following link.

"Young Conservatives of Texas are holding a nationwide
Rally For America on March 22nd, 2003 at 1PM Central
Standard Time. We want all US citizens who support our
troops and our country to come out, join together and
show the world we are behind our President.

The Texas rally will be held at the state capitol, and
I am assuming that other states will do the same. But,
for colleges and communities that are not near their
state capital, we urge them to hold rallies somewhere
in their own city. Please, Please, Please help us by
getting the word out to EVERYONE you know. We want to
surpass the 4 million protestors against our nation.
The silent majority has been too quiet for too long!
Rise up and show your support for YOUR country in
these times of crisis. Thank you for your support.

For those who hail from southeastern Wisconsin or northeastern Illinois:

A bunch of Republicans are holding a pro-Bush/ pro-troops Rally next Saturday, March 1st, at 10:30 a.m. in Racine, WI, at the corner of Highway 20 and Green Bay Road (Hobby Lobby parking lot).

We were there last weekend-- and the anti-Bush rallyers were displaying a UN flag!?!? HOW PATHETIC !

Again, this might not be marching out in numbers, but if you're so compelled, the following web site has various GOP related shirts, mugs, caps, and bumper stickers. There is an array of items you can wear, use, and so forth, to promote pride in our country and president, as well as send the message to others (particularly if you live in big cities) that this is Bush country!

Chin up, all true Americans !!
In this thread and in RANTS, the faithful are passionate, patriotic, persuasive, popular, and persecuted as oil empire proponents. *Importantly, we are the majority, silent or protesting, yet under-reported by the Hate America press.
I believe that support for just war, agreement with our affirmative coalition partners, commendation of presidential policy, condemnation of the growing list of peacenik regimes around the globe who would "give inspection a chance" are powerful, but subordinate, facets of this international crisis. *We must lay blame for threats to peace and civility squarely upon Saddam Hussein, with his scorn and contempt for worldwide U.N. security directives. *Until he accepts responsibility for ominous fear of mass destruction and its resultant chaos, any peace initiative is irrevelant.
May I suggest that the most powerful and compelling symbol for your activism in placards, posters, flyers, letters-to- editor, ribbons, slogans, etc. should be: *" Only Saddam Can and Must Prevent War?"
Faithfully, for God and Country,

There's a rally in Appleton, Wis. on March 3rd at 1http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif0PM. *It will be held near Main Hall on the Lawrence University Campus. * *It's to protest the Gender Studies (English Dept.) participating in the reading of "Lysistrata", the ancient Greek comedy about women withholding sex from their husbands until they promise to stop having wars. *Apparently this is supposed to be a worldwide thing on this day.

What's so appalling about this is that it's not even sponsored by a student group. *It's actually sponsored by the school's english department. *The play will be read by students and faculty.

Please come and bring your signs supporting the Prez and the troops. *Also anti-Saddam signs. *Boo! *Hiss!

HI AZ, thanks for that post and bringing that to our attention.

This lady really burns me. One of my BEST friends step sister DIED in that COWARDLY attack on the Pentagon!!! Because my friend is also my co-worker, I have seen FIRSTHAND the grief and despair it has caused him and his family on a daily basis. Sue Sanders stated she would rather die in another terrorist attack than initiate a war. That would all be good and fine if we could guarantee that SHE would be the ONLY victim. But we all know it doesn't happen like that. It didn't happen that way; in Beirut, over Lockerbie, in the first WTC attack, in the U.S. Embassy bombings, USS Cole and it definitely didn't happen on 9-11. Angie DID NOT CHOOSE to die and her family certainly didn't choose to endure the agony they have, and continue, to go through. She chose to protect this great nation and the freedoms we so cherish, thats why she worked at the Pentagon and thats why she ultimately gave her life. So Mrs. Sanders please keep you insensitive, repulsive comments to yourself.

***AZ, if I wished to respond to her comments in the paper you mentioned, what would be the best way for me to do that?

Thanks, Matt.

SE Wisconsin Supports Our Troops!

My wife Jennifer and I just returned from an awesome rally in Racine, Wisconsin. We were equipped with tons of American Flags and a big banner that said "Support Our Troops." We had a sign that read "Honk if you support President Bush and our Troops."

The response was excellent-- we heard so many cars honk over the two-hour rally that it sounded like somebody just got married or a homecoming football game had just ended.

The Neville Chamberlain/ Appeasers were also there, but in smaller numbers. There were several camera crews from local Milwaukee media, so let's see what kind of coverage we get in tonight's news.

The bottom line-- those of us who do subscribe to the "Peace through Strength" motto were well represented today in Southeastern Wisconsin!

Hi,

I'm "Bob from Salem"'s wife and wanted to add my two cents about our SUPPORT OUR TROOPS rally that took place this morning in Racine, Wisconsin.

Our turnout was great and the reaction of the cars driving by was fantastic. *Cars and trucks were honking like crazy in reaction to our large banner that said HONK IF YOU SUPPORT OUR TROOPS AND PRESIDENT BUSH. Drivers were rolling down their windows, giving us a thumbs up, smiling and cheering us on. *This is the busiest intersection in Racine with a constant stream of traffic and I would venture to say at least 8 out of 10 cars were beeping their horns to support us. *However, as soon as cars rounded the corner where the peaceniks were standing, the drivers would put their thumbs down and roll up their windows. *

But this is how tonight's Fox 6 TV newscast reported the event:

It was difficult to tell which side had more cars honking for their cause.

How absurd. *It was crystal clear that ALL the honking was for our group. *It just goes to show how difficult it is to get our message out through the biased media.

http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

We won't give up, though, not by a long shot. *A huge PRO AMERICA rally is being planned to take place in Milwaukee next week and WE WILL BE THERE. * So far the only info we have is 12 noon at Cathedral Square, but we will post more details as they become available. * Please tell anyone you know in Wisconsin to come join us!

An interesting side note from today's rally: *A nice fellow from the peace group told me he agreed that Saddam had to go. *I asked him how this could be accomplished if we didn't strike Iraq. *He paused in a thoughtful manner and finally responded, "I don't know."

And there you have it. *The peaceniks have no answers.

Here's a photo showing just part of our group rally from today's Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Charlie,

Hooray for the demonstration you organized! *I saw your picture, but couldn't really tell what you look like!

I don't understand this silly peace movement at ALL. *It's beyond me why people choose to ignore what happened in WW II -- or how they can rationalize away the fact that Saddam is not in compliance with U.N. Resolution 1441. I wonder if these peaceniks would have demonstrated against World War II.

As far as alerting people for our Milwaukee rally on Saturday, all I know to tell them is it will take place at 12 noon at Cathedral Square. *I suppose it would be good if they were to bring U.S. flags and/or signs. We should have a good turnout because the guy organizing it doesn't do things haphazardly.

When does everyone on this forum think we'll get the ball rolling in Iraq? *I believe we perhaps would have gone in this week, were it not for the surprise vote in Turkey's parliament -- an unwelcome setback. But the good news is I just read a piece that said Chirac does not plan to use its veto.

Charie

This Saturday, March 8 at Noon, a "Support Our Troops" Rally will be held at
Cathedral Square, just north of downtown Milwaukee. Please get out to
support our armed forces, our President and the goal of freedom for the
people of Iraq living under the murderous regime of Saddam Hussein.

Cathedral Square is located just north of Downtown Milwaukee, and east of
the Milwaukee River. It's located across the block from and west of St.
John's Cathedral, as well as south of the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

The easiest directions would begin with the Marquette Interchange -- folks
arriving from the west and south approach from I-94; from the north via
I-43. From the Marquette, travel east on I-794 to the Van Buren exit, then
north on Van Buren to Kilbourn Avenue (which is three blocks north of
Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee's main downtown thoroughfare). On Kilbourn,
turn left three blocks to Jefferson. Cathedral Square is bounded by Kilbourn
on the north, Wells on the south, Jefferson on the west, and Jackson on the east.

******************** ******************** ******
I have two more listed in the memo from the state party, but one is today and will start in an hour. I'll put the other one in a different post, because every time I try to go back and get the second one, I lose the first. Beginners!!!!! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif

The Washington County rally was really great. *Lots of signs. *Margaret Farrow was emcee and did a *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif job. *About 450 of us, inside, thank heaven. *It was so *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/snoman2.gif *we'd have died outside. *There was standing room only. *Bob, anymore big rallies in the southern part of the state coming up?

http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/flag17.gif * Thanks, Bob. *I see there's going to be a Medal of Honor winner there. *It isn't Ken Stumpf. by any chance, is it? *I lived next door to him and his family back in the late '50s. *He was in high school then. *He was a rather quiet kid, almost nondescript. *I almost fainted when I saw that he had received the Medal of Honor. *You never know who will be heroic under those circumstances. *God bless whoever it is.

Unless we can get someone to take a vanload to Milw. next week, I won't be there. *But I bet I can find one around here. *God's blessings with it. *If the weather is decent, you'll probably have thousands there. *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif *Maybe then there'll be a rally without the usual disclaimers, or practically no coverage.

Got to get Charlie & Jeff to start announcing it on TMJ!

The link says on the corners of Kilbourn & Jefferson. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif?http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif?

Bob and I just got back from a Russ Feingold listening session.

The bad (but expected) part was that Feingold didn't directly answer a single challenging question about the Estrada filibuster or about Iraq. *("There's no question that we must get rid of Saddam, but now is not the time," -- *never explaining, of course, HOW we would get rid of him.)

The good part was there was a good number of conservatives who attended to let Feingold know he has plenty of opposition in SE Wisconsin.

It's unbelievable how highly structured Feingold's listening sessions are. *The drill is that everyone must sign in with their name and address and write out their question in advance. *When their name is called, the questioner must then proceed to the front of the room and speak into a microphone. *Once the question is asked, the questioner is considered "finished" and Feingold gets to respond with no followups. *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif

Contrast this format with Congressman Paul Ryan's listening sessions. *Those who attend Ryan's sessions simply find a seat. *Ryan then calls on anyone who raises their hand and engages them in one on one, back and forth discussions of
the issues. * http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/happydance.gif

"Infanticide" Feingold doesn't have to directly answer questions, since the liberal press will not hold him accountable.

I hope a blue-chip GOP candidate comes by soon to unseat Feingold in 2004.

Feingold also contends that he does not know anything about Estrada. *I said that ABA has said that Estrada is "well qualified" and that he has argued 15 cases before the US Supreme Court. *I also asked Frenchie Feingold if he is so concerned about Estrada's stances, if he bothered to submit any written follow-up questions (since the White House said that they were agreeable to follow-up questions).

Fein-Doldt's response: "He was evasive with his original questions-- so I did not expect him to fully answer the follow-up questions."

DUH-- A conserative would NEVER get away with such a STUPID response!

http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/flag17.gif * * Scratch this rally. *It was one of those so-called peace rallies which is just another anti-president Bush rally. *I posted on this in the Precinct. * *Ugh-h-h! *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsdown.gif

Here is a link for anyone who wants to support our troops.

Ways to contact troops and help their families at home! (http://www.usafreedomcorp.g ov/for_volunteers/spotlight/articles/200303-07.asp)

If this doesn't load right away, please try again later. Ari Fleisher announced it in his daily briefing so I'm sure it's getting lots of hits.

http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/star2.gif Thanks, Terri. I looked for that page for about an hour today and couldn't find it. Wanted to paste it here. I should've come here first and saved myself some time. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

It sounds as though the Green Bay Rally will be a big onel They've been advertising it over the old WGEE (don't remember the new call letters.) for almost 2 weeks. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/flag19.gif http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/flag19.gif

http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/flag19.gif There will be a rally in Milwaukee on April 12th at 1:00pm at War Memorial Plaza. Charlie Sykes of WTMJ announced it. It sounds like a good one. Our good Republican representatives Mark Green (my rep.) and Paul Ryan will be there as well as a lot of military and I think he said he and Jeff Wagner would be there, too. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/star2.gif
