My list of boycotted Hollyweird celebrities. *Many Americans who support their country are exercising their right to not purchase any movie tickets, DVDs, CDs, etc. that are associated with these "activists". *By joining the political fray and showing their support for Saddam Hussein over their own country, these celebrities are losing fan support AND money...

Boycott Petition:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://www.ipetitions.com/campaigns/hollywoodceleb/index.html
We the undersigned American Citizens stand against Wealthy Hollywood Celebrities abusing their status to speak for us. We do not believe that they have a clear understanding of how we live, what we fear, and what we support. We believe that celebrities Martin Sheen, Mike Farrell, Tim Robbins, Rob Reiner, Barbara Streisand, and others with them are using their celebrity to interfere with the defense of our country. We believe that Hollywood Celebrities use their wealth to make their own personal issues known while Americans would never have the resources to speak out in this manner. We support President Bush in his efforts to defend our homeland, to defend democracy, and to take any measures to end the threat of terrorism. We do not claim to know more than anyone, especially President Bush. We elect a President who we can trust to make proper decisions based on facts available to him and not available to the rest of us. This is one reason trustworthiness and character is important in the people we elect into office. War is not easy, there are many before us who sacrificed their lives for freedom and if supporting citizens in other countries who cry out for democracy and freedom aids in the war against terrorism we support it.
The follwing people are on a de facto boycott list being circulated around the Internet, their products will not be purchased:

Thanks for the list. I wont be supporting those celebrities, tv stations, or ben and jerrys. Thanks again for a good list.

Yeah - Ben and Jerrys. *There's a surprise!
They're behind an "ultra liberal" organization (I love saying that - this one applies tenfold!http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif *and doing big time promotions with a long distance company called "Working Assets". *
You get to trade your soul and common sense for a fee coupon of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream each month if you sign up with this company. *They'll "send letters on your behalf" pushing for "environmental, women's and various liberal causes". *Basically, anything that the typical family would be FOR, they are AGAINST. *I'm surprised that the don't have an anti-war COMMERCIAL, for the hippie, bead-trading, socialistic "peace at all costs" b*st*rds that they are. *
I wouldn't eat their socialist propaganda ice cream. *I'd be spewing "Cherry Garcia" http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/barf.gif on the shag carpet in no time. *Besides, they look like a couple of throwback hippies from the 60's, and I wouldn't eat ANYTHING *from a group that mixed a green plant substance with brownies - that's just bad cooking. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *I've been boycotting them for years - nice to see the issue brought up again, tho. *

Well, add Chrissy Hydne (rock group, "The Pretenders") to the list. *The SF Chronicle reports this one: *
Quote[/b] ] She dedicated "You Know Who Your Friends Are" to "all you junkies and f--," gave a shout-out to the late Joe Strummer, opined that she hopes the United States loses if it goes to war with Iraq ("Bring it on! Give us what we deserve!"), and introduced the song "Fools Must Die" with the self-deprecating quip, "I'll show you how it's done."
So much for their sappy ballad, "I'll stand by you". *
She's as bad as that woman who said that she'd rather die in a terrorist attack than be in a war. *Geez. *WITWCT? * (What Is This World Coming To?)

-----------------------------------------
Thank you for writing Visa USA. We always value feedback from cardholders.
While we understand your concerns, it's important to know that Visa doesn't
endorse any personal political positions of individuals who appear in our
advertisements. Mr. Sheen is part of a long list of celebrities that we use
or have used -- from Yao Ming to Bob Dole to Kevin Bacon--to promote the
check card and while they play a role in our spots, they in no way represent
the views of Visa. Visa USA remains focused on providing cardholders with
the best global payments network offering an abundance of payment choices.
That being said, we can also say that this commercial is not on air anymore.
Again, thank you for writing. We hope that you will continue to choose Visa
as a secure, convenient, and reliable way to pay.

Here's progress...so much for standing up for what you believe, huh?
Janeane Garofalo Gives It Up March 12, 2003
Is out-of-work actress Janeane Garofalo French? You could be excused for thinking so after reading that she's given up her fight after only a couple of weeks. You have to feel sort of sorry for her - almost. In days gone by, a D-celebrity could've really advanced her career by simply donning a pair of smart glasses, reading a couple New York Times articles, and spouting conspiracy theories against a Republican president. Those days are over. <GIGGLE!
Garofalo admitted that the so-called peace movement stayed silent during Clinton-era wars because it "wasn't hip." She would never have been pressed with that question before the days of the EIB Network. Garofalo says she may quit protesting U.S. plans to make war on Iraq (It's on Saddam, not Iraq) saying she's being harassed and that Hollywood leftists "don't get enough respect." She has it far better, of course, than anyone speaking out against Saddam Hussein's wars would've had it - but that's as it should be.
The star of flop movies such as "Mystery Men" complained that she's had to change her phone number because of harassing calls - and it's the media's fault. Where is this commitment that we've been told the anti-war types have if she's going to quit because of a little opposition? I once received millions of harassing phone calls, Janeane, which is why I give you this tip: get an unlisted number. As for getting respect, it helps if you can come up with something that makes sense. Saying that there's no evidence to connect Hussein to WMDs, and that Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice don't know what they're talking about based on sources you won't name, just won't work anymore. Even people who support you just won't buy it.

NASHVILLE, Tennessee — The Dixie Chicks are drawing harsh words from country music fans for remarks singer Natalie Maines made about President George W. Bush during a recent performance in London.
Maines told the audience earlier this week, "Just so you know, we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas."
Angry phone calls flooded Nashville radio station WKDF-FM on Thursday, some calling for a boycott of the Texas trio's music.
The group released a statement Thursday saying they have been overseas for several weeks and "the anti-American sentiment that has unfolded here is astounding. While we support our troops, there is nothing more frightening than the notion of going to war with Iraq and the prospect of all the innocent lives that will be lost."
In a separate statement Thursday, Maines said, "I feel the president is ignoring the opinion of many in the U.S. and alienating the rest of the world. My comments were made in frustration, and one of the privileges of being an American is you are free to voice your own point of view."
The Dixie Chicks will kick off a U.S. tour in support of their multi-platinum album Home on May 1 in Greenville, South Carolina. The group's hits include "Wide Open Spaces," "Ready to Run" and "Landslide."

This tour won't see any of my money!

And I thought Matt was a really smart guy - whoops, that was just pretend. ("Good Will Hunting")
His comments about Ms. Sarah proved he's just not too bright, and doesn't know how to think for himself.
Sad.

I don't see movies in theatres anymore. A "permanent" boycott.

I've been doing this for quite sometime now...
Streisand ever since I first heard her diss the President...
I don't go t the movies Period Unless it's necessary...the last movie I actually paid to go see was the last "Harry Potter" movie....
The group HEART WAS on my Myspace friends list...not anymore after I heard they were bringing up a lawsuit against the McCain/Palin campaign for playing the song "Barrauda" at the convention

I have bought a few war movies, but I haven't been in a movie theater since back in the late 60s or early 70s, I can't remember it has been so long.Hollywood is not living off my money.
