TWO AVERAGE AMERICAN GUYS?

John Kerry and John Edwards in my opinion keep trying to pass themselves off as average American guys who can relate to the average American. *They try to pass themselves off as being just like you and me. *My opinion is that nothing could be further from the truth. *

John Kerry and John Edwards in my opinion want us to think that they are just like any other average American who is out working every day, struggling to pay the bills, struggling to take the family out once a week to eat (and then it may only be to a fast food restaurant or maybe to a local diner). *We may have to wait a while longer then we would like to get our haircut, due to other bills taking precedent. *Do John Kerry and John Edwards ever have to wait on getting their haircut (sorry, I meant to say hair styled) due to finances? *How much do John Kerry and John Edwards pay for their haircuts (sorry, I meant to say hair styling). *And do they ever have to say “oh gee in order to pay all of my bills on time, I can’t afford to go out to eat this month due to bills needing to be paid, I think not. *I guess in all fairness they may have to put off buying another mansion until the following month, or buying a Hummer, or taking another vacation to Europe. *But hey, they want us to believe that they can relate to us, they are just like the average American, just one of the plain folk.

While most average Americans are struggling to pay for one house, John Kerry and John Edwards have multiple homes (I’m sorry I meant to say multiple mansions). *This doesn’t sound like me or any of my family, friends or neighbors.

A lot of people have pretty decent health care and dental plans (as I do), but there are still some out of pocket expenses when services are rendered. *We still have to put some non critical treatments, (and sometimes critical), off until a later date, due to these out of pocket expenses, until we have the money available for out of pocket expenses for these treatments. *Do John Kerry and John Edwards ever have these dilemmas? *I think not. *But hey, they want us to believe that they can relate to this, they are just like the average American, just one of the little folk.

In my opinion, I think neither John Kerry nor John Edwards nor any of their friends or family has any of the above mentioned average American dilemmas to deal with. *So how can they expect anyone to believe that they can relate to the average American? *Their lifestyles are so far removed from the lifestyles of the average American that they might as well be living on another planet.

John Kerry and John Edwards talk about taxing the rich people like them more than the average, hard working American. *Who are they kidding? *When you are worth what these two and other rich elitists and politicians are worth, no present tax structure changes or any new tax structure changes being talked about by these two or by most other politicians will have any drastic impact on them or any other rich elitists or politicians like them. *As usual the middle class will bear the brunt. *The only fair and equitable tax structures in my opinion for all Americans would be either a flat tax or a value added tax (sometimes called a consumption tax). *A flat tax, as I understand it, would simplify tax filing, and the value added tax (consumption tax), as I understand it, would most likely eliminate the need for filing at all. *But let’s see if we eliminated the tax structure as it is, gee that may eliminate the tax shelters and loopholes of the rich elitists and politicians, and it may eliminate the need for so many tax law attorneys. Let’s see isn’t John Edwards an attorney, (didn’t he acquire most or all of his millions as an attorney), isn’t John Kerry an attorney, aren’t quite a few of our politicians in Washington attorneys?

These are just my opinions, and hopefully other good, honest, average Americans from all walks of life see through this charade. *And I also hope that I succeed in giving other Americans something to think about and maybe open their eyes to how in my opinion they are being duped by these “Two average American guys?” who in my opinion keep insisting that they are just like you and me. *As slick Willie would say “they can feel your pain”.
