Because I want to be a truly informed and well-rounded individual, I subscribe to an e-newsletter of the Democratic National Committee – called Democratic News.

Now, I usually don't mind when Republicans bash Democrats or when Democrats trash Republicans. I'm an independent, so I don't take any of it personally. And, frankly, most of the time, I try to be a plague on both their houses.

But the latest issue of this e-rag from the Democratic National Committee is amazingly deceitful – transparently so, deliberately so, shamefully so.

Maybe it's a joke – a parody?

I never understand why Republicans won't just present the truth. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif

The elected ones are too PC, too scared, too wimpy. It is up to activists (us) to get the truth out. We are doing so here, but how many other conservative sites or papers will do the same?

I'm not sure if we're stupid or just trying to be ladies and gentlemen.

During the 2000 election recount, while watching a PBS http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif news report I heard Gwen Ifeldt (Sp?) say: "Militant conservatives? That sounds like an oxymoron." This was after news tape, of Republicans in shirts and ties pounding on an office door to be admitted, was run.

I'll let you draw your own conclusions on that.

Somehow I think we could speak the awful truth about the Democrats in a civilized way. Too often we just ignore it and fail to point out the obvious.
