RNC Blasts Kerry for Continuing to Support Disgraced Diplomat

WASHINGTON (Talon News) -- The Republican National Committee has called on Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) to disassociate himself from the statements of former Ambassador Joe Wilson. A report issued by the Senate Intelligence Committee last week casts doubt on the validity of the work Wilson performed on behalf of the Central Intelligence Agency in regard to an alleged Iraq-Niger uranium deal.
The Senate Intelligence Committee's report also contradicts Wilson's public statements about his wife's involvement in his 2002 trip to Africa.
RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie said, "For more than a year, Joe Wilson led Democrats to make allegations against the president that have now been proven false. Sen. Kerry embraced and repeated these false charges and continues to post them on his campaign web site. Perhaps he is as proud of his repudiated national steering committee member who has been exposed as a liar as he is of his vote against funding our troops in the field."
