Gay marriage ban makes Montana ballot
Helena, MT, Jul. 15 (UPI) -- A proposal to ban homosexual marriages in Montana has qualified for the November ballot.
The secretary of state's office in the Big Sky Country said Thursday more than 46,000 petition signatures gathered in 38 counties qualified the proposed amendment to the state constitution that would limit marriage to heterosexual couples.
