In fact, when somebody told me about it, I thought the idea came from Michael Moore’s latest movie. *But we called Eddie Bernice Johnson’s office and – sure enough -- this crazy story is absolutely true.

In their letter to Annan, Eddie and the "Dirty Dozen" said: "We are deeply concerned that the right of U.S. citizens to vote in free and fair elections is again in jeopardy."

These Democrats aren’t talking about Cuba or Haiti or Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. *They are launching a slanderous attack against the United States of America *-- <span style='font-size:11pt;line-height:100%'>their own country, the freest and fairest nation in the world.</span> *

And they are asking the sorriest countries on the planet to pile on. *(“Come on, France, it’s Get America Week!”) *

Eddie Bernice Johnson and the &quot;Dirty Dozen&quot; asked in their letter for &quot;international election monitors&quot; to watch for &quot;questionable practices and voter disenfranchisement on Election Day.&quot; *And all the while they wept Hollywood tears, complaining that: “As the next Election Day approaches, there is more cause for alarm rather than less.&quot;

Political pundits acknowledge that Johnson's actions are &quot;grand-standing&quot; designed to rile the political Left into action, but in my mind, Johnson's actions are outrageous and should not go unanswered.

Even the UN – always eager to trash America – refused to fall for this Democratic scam to smear the United States. * *But Johnson is undaunted and even now, she is continuing her call for U.N. monitoring of U.S. elections.

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, these Hate-America Democrats are still whining about 2000, when they failed to steal enough votes in Florida to elect Al Gore. *THAT’S why they wrote their old buddy Kofi Annan.

One phone call would have spared Eddie Bernice Johnson and her gang the trouble of making this off-the-wall request. *The U.N. Charter prohibits interference in the internal *affairs of a nation, except on request of the government in question – and then it would have to be approved by the Security Council or General Assembly.

On second thought, Eddie Bernice probably DID make that call. *After all, she and the &quot;Dirty Dozen&quot; didn’t really expect the UN to intervene. * *They just wanted to sling mud at the Bush Administration – and if they muddied their own country’s flag as well – all the better!

These liberals didn’t dream up this outrage all by themselves. *You can bet they are the attack dogs of Teddy Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry – eager to attack Republicans, their country, and anybody who wants America to remain independent and prosperous.

However, don’t dismiss the idea that U.S. elections may one day be turned over to the United Nations? *

If Supreme Court justices keep ignoring the Constitution to kowtow to world opinion and international law, it COULD happen – if not in 2004, then in 2008 or 2012 or 2024. *

For years the Left had been scheming and manipulating to deliver America into the hands of the United Nations – which means to put U.S. citizens – you and me -- under the absolute dictatorship of a bunch of Third World countries that hate us because we’re freer, richer, stronger and better than they are. *

By the way, the UN guideline for monitoring elections is one observer for every 100 polling sites. *That would mean about 2,000 Third World hustlers crawling around election booths from Key West to Anchorage

And here’s the most galling part of all: The whole spectacle would be funded by taxpayers – by you and me – since we finance the UN.

Jonessa, is it kosher to ask who all in the Forum (if you know, that is) is joining in on this &quot;blast fax&quot;? I realize it is a singular effort, but I'd hate to compromise my budget on something that might not even get there.

After reading this thread, I went to the individual websites of the people listed.. only two, Johnson and Brown, had the guts to mention this little misadventure online. In reading Johnson's press release, the last (and following) paragraph caught my eye:

I looked at a few (about 15 or so) site links, &quot;who we are&quot; &quot;about us&quot; and such..then I looked at a few names that were on speakers and googled them. Catch words like &quot;imperialist&quot; kept popping up. A few interesting things like educating the USA about Central American problems and racism and voter education. Also I noted with particular interest the disarmament of the USA and demilitarizing the USA goals..some since Vietnam. Many of their favorites have recieved death threats and harrassment, I wonder why. Someone publish a list of where and when they're gonna be monitoring. This is the time for action, legal preferred.

JFK had a plan for having the UN take over the United States and was originally known as State Department Document 7277. You can find info about it on the web using that header. It then became law as PL 87-297 as has been in effect ever since, being renewed every couple years. For 40 years, our elected officials in congress have continued to fund that bill which gives our military and defense UNILATERALLY to the United Nitwits in hopes of one world government. Why shouldn't the commiecrats want the UN to monitor our elections, its their plan to turn us over to the whims of the United Nitwits and the world that hates us. A rocket scientist isn't needed to figure out what will happen then to this country and its people. We can see by the on-going additions to the EU (European Union), that groups are amassing under the umbrella and 'protection' of that entity.


We already know that the arabs and the asians are not going to join such an entitiy.

It just seems that with all the progress we have made, we seem to be reverting back to what used to be.

When the top meets the bottom, they even out and become the middle.
We have it all, yet we have this huge infux if immigrants that it becomes harder and harder to assimilate into the American culture. Like is sticking with like. And as you say, 'tribes.' I believe we are seeing more and more groups of ethnics located in similar areas.

.....and then we will progress again to where people are blended.

We might even see pink folk creating their own state to maintain their line, much like our Israeli friends.
