<span style='color:navy'>Hi everyone! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wavey.gif

The news was downright boring yesterday, even Rush said so. I'm sick of hearing how wonderful the Johns are. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sleeping.gif

I learned yesterday that we are being targeted for a Pride-fest celebration by the gay community. They will stage a gay marriage in our park. Guess we'll have to bring out the whole cop shop for that one. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tqrolleyes.gif

You just have to love our president. Here's how it went in NC yesterday. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Quote[/b] ]Reporter's Q: *If I could try another Edwards question. He's being described today as charming, engaging, a nimble campaigner, a populist, and even sexy. How does he stack up against Dick Cheney?

THE PRESIDENT: Dick Cheney can be President. *Next.

Remember when the Capitol was evacuated during the time Reagan was lying in state? Now we learn that the top general in charge of such matters was on the phone and prepared to order the unidentified plane shot down. It turned out to have a malfunction and to be carrying the governor of Kentucky. What will it take to make pilots aware that they must be sure their systems are in order? Can you imagine the outcry if the darned plane had been shot down? http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yikes.gif
Be sure to check the uranium story for an update! Too much! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/boots.gif

Ok, I missed the chick-chat yesterday so here's my contribution. This is simply catty but I might as well say it as think it. The Edwards do not look like they go together to me. Someone said she really is older. How much? She looks like the woman next door and he looks like a playboy as well as a goof. That vapid smile makes me think of Jimmy Carter. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/dead.gif

<span style='font-size:10pt;line-height:100%'>Words of Wisdom:</span> "John Edwards has left more footprints on the beaches of South Carolina than he has on the floor of the Senate." *Sen. Mitch McConnell

Quote[/b] ]I'm sick of hearing how wonderful the Johns are.

Psst... wanna hear how wonderful the Johns are?

Wanna hear it again?

Next opportunity I get, I'd like to check out Edwards' bio and voting record, and see how this "self-made man" has made it tougher for the rest of us to follow a similar road to success, whether it's just advoacting for backbreaking taxes on the small business owners who are trying to become "self-made" themselves, or if ther's other stuff, too. I figure he's similar to Michael Moore, with the not-as-humble-as-he'd-have-you-believe background and desire to see that nobody else can follow his path to success.

Quote[/b] ]They will stage a gay marriage in our park.

Are they going to omit the part about "...if there are any objections..."?

Quote[/b] ]You just have to love our president.

You don't have to... he earns it.

Quote[/b] ]We've got better vision, better ideas, real plans.

http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif So far, all we've heard from Kerry is anti-Bush rhetoric and "Bring... it... on." Oh, and handing the keys to the country over to the UN. The only vision Edwards has is double vision... that's ONE America, John, under God, indivisible, and most of 'em aren't going to buy what you're selling.

Quote[/b] ]We've got a better sense of what's happening to America

Then how come you keep talking about the failing economy when it's been getting stronger? How can you put yourself in the shoes of the working man when you've blown off your job most of the year, then complained you had no work the one day you showed up?

Quote[/b] ]and we've got better hair,

I've seen more pictures of the Johns on bad hair days than I have of Bush and Cheney.

Good Thursday morning all!
Quote[/b] ]Remember when the Capitol was evacuated during the time Reagan was lying in state? Now we learn that the top general in charge of such matters was on the phone and prepared to order the unidentified plane shot down. It turned out to have a malfunction and to be carrying the governor of Kentucky.
Terri it turns out that Governor Fletcher's plane is a 1972 model, so it's quite old. He was so embarrassed over the incident for himself and for the state of Kentucky that he made Lt. Governor Steve Pence talk about it. I would have been very sad if Governor Fletcher's plane had been shot down because as part of the Young Republicans at my high school we manned the phones to help him get elected against Ben Chandler http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif,so I feel like he's "my" Governor. But I would've understood the rationale behind it. NO SHOOTING DOWN ANY REPUBLICAN GOVERNORS! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I actually saw the statement that President Bush made about Edwards inexperience and I nearly laughed myself silly. Then, they quickly showed a clip of John Kerry firing back that Edwards has more experience than Bush had when he ran for president in 2000. What John?
"This is not a time for on-the-job training in the White House over national security..."-John Kerry about Edwards

Quote[/b] ]The Edwards do not look like they go together to me. Someone said she really is older. How much?
Terri, I'm not sure how much older Mrs. Edwards is, but some liberals were saying that the fact that Kerry and Edwards married older women shows that they are responsible. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif

Quote[/b] ]Words of Wisdom: "John Edwards has left more footprints on the beaches of South Carolina than he has on the floor of the Senate." Sen. Mitch McConnell
I saw this on Hannity & Colmes! I was so elated to see a Kentucky Senator on the program. McConnell is basically why the Republican Party of Kentucky is one of the strongest state branches of the party. Awesome, awesome Senator and a great great comment.

Well, that's about all I have for now. God Bless America! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/flag19.gif

<span style='color:0066ff' >Good Morning Terri, "dad" & KYRep!p</span> http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hat1.gif

About David Horowitz and to answer the question about Republican civility. According to Horowitz in his book "The Art Of Political War" he says that Republicans need to take a serious look at how the http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/jacka.gif operate. That, "if only one side is http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/uzi.gif the other side will soon be http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/dead.gif " ~ and I kind of agree ~ but not to the point that we loose our own credibility. The world just doesn't need any more Car http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif 's or Begalas. And Beckel is just as disgusting.

Watched BOR this morning, as he comes on at 4am, just when I'm http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/red_eyes.gif out of bed. I should have known better than to watch Geraldine Ferraro so early in the morning. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/barf.gif But by the time BOR finished with her she looked like http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/masy.gif More about liberal "denial". BOR nailed her with the "Great Society" debacle and how 8 trillion dollars later we are worse off than ever. More entitlements and giveaways, more crime, more educational failures, more out of wedlock children......and on and on and on. Of course, she denied it. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tqrolleyes.gif The only thing worse than a liberal, is a he]] bent socialist liberal. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/fire.gif

http://img.villagephotos.co m/p/2003-10/419342/Ranter.gif As John Gibson would say ~ "And that's my word." http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/_950/curtsey.gif

Terri ~ I saw on the news last night that Colorado has about 30% Dems, 33% Republicans and the rest Independents. Sure hope the Indys lean more to the right than the left. As for the gay "Pride Fest" ~ I guess sometimes it's a good thing to live in the heart of "red-neck" country. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin2.gif The http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cowboy7.gif 's in this county would have a field day. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laff.gif

As for the airplane incident and the KY Governor. Things do go wrong during flight, even when the best of care has been taken. No matter how old an airplane is, it has to be inspected regularly and signed off by a Federally licensed mechanic. The FAA has a long list of regulations to comply with and AD notes (Airworthy Directives) are sent out regularly on all types of planes ~ except experimental (those which are home built). That's one of the reasons it's so expensive to own a private plane ~ unless you can take a business writeoff. A major overhaul on a small plane is very expensive.

I heard them say that Elizabeth Edwards is 55. Four years older than John. That seems to be the thing these days. I don't really find anything wrong with a woman being older than a man, if she can pull it off. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrinangelA.gif Although my hub is two years older than I am ~ my generation looked at younger men a little differently (more motherly I think). I was just being catty about how frumpy she looked ~ and I guess I missed something, it looks like she had her last child after she was 50. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif Or maybe those are her grandkids. I guess I wasn't paying close attention. http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/_950/upset.gif

Terri ~ we have a smilie for the TK blob http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/frog.gif and JFlippin'K http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yo-yo.gif ~ and now we have one for his velcroed running mate ~ http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile4.gif All teeth and thumbs! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rotflo.gif

Howdy Y'All!

Yesterday was one of those days at work. When I finally made it home I anticipated a full day's worth of news. Then I discovered there wasn't any...even with all the talk of men's hairdos.

The lesson about the governor's airplane is simple: If you're flying in and around DC, have your stuff in order and always know where you are.

Quote[/b] ]Quote[/b] ]Reporter's Q: *If I could try another Edwards question. He's being described today as charming, engaging, a nimble campaigner, a populist, and even sexy. How does he stack up against Dick Cheney?

THE PRESIDENT: Dick Cheney can be President. *Next.

I heard this exchange on the radio a couple of times yesterday. I thought it sounded OK, nothing spectacular. And then, I saw it on TV and noted a dramatic difference from the radio version. The President was so effective in the way he quickly answered the question while looking directly at the reporter and then turned and pointed to the next reporter. His delivery technique really sold the point he was making--and without any hesitation.

And no more hesitation here--http://www.terminweb.com/weblog/images/smallkk.jpgs, http://www.terminweb.com/weblog/images/smallchockk.jpgs, and http://www.terminweb.com/weblog/images/smallsprinkles.jpgs for our Thursday enjoyment.

OK, time for guy talk (Ladies, it's called equal time):

Does John Kerry have only one tie--the pink one with the white diamonds?

End of guy talk.

I wonder what http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/witch.gif is up to today?

Later...

hi everybody!

Well...Its official...I have had enough of the two toilet johns today. Looks like john2 is on the attack. Now we have to listen to this ! ugh. I guess anything is better than john 1..with his funeral like droning...in one tone...on and on...Seems the big bounce they thought they were getting has not materialized. This is a good thing.

Termind...sorry you had to come back to the old grind...but you know...we can be without kk's. You have spoiled us all..

I think its about time for one of those!! TTFN!

Good morning everybody. *I have a full day today, even though I'm off from work. *First, I'm going to go workout at the Y. *Then, I have loads of errands. *Finally, I have to get caught up on schoolwork.

Has anyone taking a class called Introduction to Business? *
I really love the way President George W. Bush handles the press, especially the liberals. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif *I have to agree with all of you. *

I don't think I can handle another day with the two Johns. *They're already making me http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/barf.gif and http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif. *Its a good thing that I have a really good cd player to listen to.

Good morning all.

Dave, Lurch has to wear that pink tie until he makes a few more contacts with the secret foreign government that wants him to be president. Remember when Lurch was approached by a sophisticated looking man with a foreign accent in a very well decorated restaurant in NY City. That guy just loved Lurch’s pink tie.

What we need now is a new http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wmoon.gif that is going in circles of maybe up side down.

Flower, without the expected bounce from bringing little Eddy out from under Mommy’s skirt Lurch might have another surprise for us at the convention. You know he had several different signs made up before he showed the one with Eddy’s name on it. If Eddy doesn’t perform as well for Lurch as he has for Mommy Lurch may go with another older woman.

I can see a billion reasons why Lurch took up with an older woman and I bet it really helps him with the feminist liberals. But Eddy marrying a woman four years older than him makes you wonder. Now they have two young kids at her age? They have a daughter old enough to have kids.

Good morning fellow GOP members! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/usflag22.gif

America is facing a simple choice in the upcoming election!
It's either pick an administration that will fight for Americans without worrying about international opinion!

Or pick a couple of Johns that will hand America over to the communist U.N without any concern for America's future.
As long as Kofi has control of your rights and mine that's all that matters most to the Johns! They don't think we can handle the war on terror! They think we're incapable of fighting terrorists and that we'll never win the fight without intervention of the U.N! They have no confidence in Americans! They're telling our Armed Forces they can't do it!
So I tell Big John and Little John, yes we can do it! And we will win this war on scum, without question, just get the hell out of the way and face the fact that your party has no backbone anymore, and the way it's looking you have a long way to go before you'll ever earn an ounce of respect from Americans who do believe in their Armed forces!

I'll be back later ! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, Everyone,

Just a quick note this morning as I'm running late. Wanted to wish each of you a merry day, God's blessings on you all, and to keep smiling and maximize your day!

Do you remember Abbott and Costellos' routine "Who's On First?" Do you get the same, confused sense when you hear Kerry-Edwards ... but it's not funny?

Good Morning All: Looking forward to another hot one in NC. According to the forecasters, we will be in the mid 90s for the next week - its that time of year. Heat with humidity makes all of us look forward to fall.

Quote[/b] ]I guess anything is better than john 1..with his funeral like droning...in one tone...on and on..This made me think that if we were casting for a movie that included a funeral director, Lurch would have a lock on the part. At least it would give him a job after his defeat in Nov.

RIM, got to agree with you on BORs handling of Ferraro last night. She stumbled and bumbled and tried to make a Dimocratic speech, which he wouldn't allow - it was great.

Finished for awhile with the heart doctor - got the bill yesterday. I was wrong when I said it was about $80,000, it was $106,728.88. Now I will be able to sell my body for a lot more http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Today its off to the Dermatologist - trying to get rid of my last souvenier from Vietnam. So far the Lamisil seems to be doing the job.

We are starting to make plans for the end of the month. We will be going to Nell's old homestead in the Great Smokies. They will be having a mini-family reunion. The weather there is much cooler than here in the eastern part of the state. After leaving her old home we will be heading up the road to where I was born in the very southern part of WV. Guess this could be called the old folks tour - back to their roots.

Have a great day and I'll see you later.

MULTIPLE CHOICE:
A. If John #2 can't remember the horrible things Lurch said about him during the primary season, then he is an idiot.
B. If John #2 CAN remember but is just pretending he doesn't, then he is a hypocrite.
C. If John #1 remembers what he said, it doesn't matter, because I'll have you know he didn't want John Edwards BEFORE he DID want John Edwards.
D. If John #1 doesn't remember what he said, then HE is an idiot.
E. All of the above.

You all will be graded on the above question, and it will go on your permanent record!

Good Morning Everyone!

First to KyRep: Mitch McConnell is one of my favorite senators. He's one of the few really intelligent senators we have.

San Diego has a gay pride parade (what they are proud of they never quite get around to saying) and it takes over an entire part of the city. So, we avoid going to that part for an entire week. I guess the rest of us don't have anything to be flaunted ....er.....proud about.

As I mentioned yesterday, Kerry sounds like he has his own echo chamber, but I think someone else said it better when he was described as sounding like a funeral director. Yep, that's it - funeral director.

If John-Johns want to marry older women, good for them. That means the younger women were left in peace. Probably made some younger women a whole lot happier.

I really don't like men with "good" hair. I like a man with slightly messed up hair. Makes him look like he's been busy doing things, not spending his day with the hair spray. I also don't like fake smiles on a man. A knowing smile and a wink is much more fun.

Well, today, my usual two walks (morning and eveing), and the afternoon as a docent in the rare book room. I take along a couple of books to keep me company in case "interesting" people don't show up. It's tough to find oneself sitting in a room with nothing to read while otherwise surrounded by an entire library. It's like water water everywhere and not a drop to drink.

So, there you have it - Basheva's day.

I saw the Ferraro interview yesterday and she came off looking as bad as when Juan Williams tried to say that Reagan would have voted for Kerry. It's one thing to be partisan, but another to be stupidly partisan.

Of course all of us are partisan and brilliant!

RIM, Colorado is very much a swing state this year. Of course, we have swung before within the state. We had a http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/jacka.gif governor for many years. Hopefully, we will go for Bush. We are going to have a big push for Republican candidates for the next two weeks. I need to send in my volunteer times.

Yes, there does seem to be a trend toward marrying older women but it has always happened sometimes. My mother was 11 years older than my stepdad. At my house, it's the other way around. I'm younger by a lot.

http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile4.gif He should have some hair. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif

KyRep, I don't think I'd want to fly into DC in an outdated plane these days. If the plane can't be updated then maybe they shouldn't fly it there for their's and everyone's good. It would be horrible to shoot down a plane like that.

DA, your trip sounds great! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Basheva, I am just thinking of going downtown that weekend to take pictures but I'm not sure how much ruckus that would create. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yikes.gif

Good morning!

I just wanted to come in and introduce myself. *I have been searching for a GOP discussion board, and this one looks excellent!

When speaking with my father last night, he told me that in his old age that he has become ultra-conservative. *Well, the more we talked, the more I realized that we share the same beliefs. *So, I told him that it must not be his age, but our blood *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I am 29 years old. *I am a Catholic stay-at-home mom. *My husband and I currently have 6 children, ages 9, 8, 6, 4, 2, and 1. *Additionally, I homeschool them.

I am trying everything I can to get Bush re-elected. *I was appalled by Kerry's remarks the other day regarding life begins at conception... not at the words themselves, but at his sense of absolutely no conviction in upholding those beliefs. *I have written both his campaign with my disgust, and the Bush campaign with my praise.

I am very excited to join a group of like-minded people. *And I look forward to getting to know all of you!

GOOD MORNING, YA'LL--From the SLOW, HOT South!

Basheva, I almost have to take issue with ya'll, lovingly, of course, on this one:

Quote[/b] ]As I mentioned yesterday, Kerry sounds like he has his own echo chamber, but I think someone else said it better when he was described as sounding like a funeral director. *Yep, that's it - funeral director.

Now, funeral directors may sound like that, somewhere, but all of them that I've been privileged to know were kind, sweet people--some, even a little boisterous--as is our present local FD, who used to be my next-door-neighbor and so was his daddy before him. * So, PLEASE, let's don't insult the loving, caring FDs by comparing them with that GOON!! * http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes2.gif

Titan, Our President Bush is younger than LURCH--there's an old joke that goes something like this--someone, who is bald, is making fun of someone with gray hair. * The gray-haired person retorts with "Hair follicles grow down--if they hit gray matter, the hair turns gray, if not, the hair turns loose" *So, I think we can rest assured that our president has plenty of gray matter. * And, the hair coloring the others are using will ruin them, anyway! * http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tqrolleyes.gif

Those two numbskulls remind me of that farmer in something I posted a couple of days ago! * * Not noticing that we are winning the war, not noticing the economy is good, and not being grateful for anything makes me think of the farmer's reply to his hecklers when asked if everyone gave thanks down on the farm and he replied that "the pigs didn't". * http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/angry.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/madgo.gif

One of our local pundits down here says that John2 will appeal to the average working class person in the mid-west--wonder what the mid-westerners think of that statement http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Did ya'll know that on one army base alone, Ft. Campbell, they are expecting over 200 babies this fall ? * Do you suppose that's true on most of the bases? * LOTS OF BABIES!! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laff.gif* *

Quote[/b] ]Basheva, I am just thinking of going downtown that weekend to take pictures but I'm not sure how much ruckus that would create.

Go create a ruckus - that's what life's all about. Then post the pictures here so we can critique them.

Ha ha - what a hoot!

About the funeral director business - ok - I will amend that...

Kerry sounds like Frankenstein. Yes, I like that better. It's kind of like he's pontificating in a large empty hall. Maybe the "empty" is inside rather than outside. Hmmmmmm.

I think I prefer a man with no hair rather than a man in love with hair spray. Can think of a couple like Sean Connery, Yul Bryner that I wouldn't mind meeting. Well, Yul is not with us any more, but Sean's around....

Sean? Where are you?

The Senate is making me sick. I just watched Senator Talent from Missouri give a speech about the way the Senate has fallen into the hands of a small group of obstructionists because of the way the filibuster is able to shut down the Senate at several levels of the process. But he knows just as I do that the small group of D*******ites could not stop a bill without most of the dems and a lack of will on the right.

Senator Talent says that the filibuster is invisible to the public and he is correct. All the media reports is that we have no energy bill, no welfare reform bill, no health care bill, no transportation bill, etc and then implies that it is President Bush’s fault.

We need to e-mail all of our Senator and support efforts to change the rules so that the majority can get something done.

Welcome Maggie!

Welcome Maggie, and hello to everybody else!

Der Alte- it's downright summer time here now! *Speaking of hair, mine is a barometer these days. *If it's going to rain, it poofs out like I have a giant blonde fro. *So, it's ponytails only until September for me.

Another hair item, if I really had to choose my ideal Dem hair candidate, I'd pick Sharpton. *He's an interesting mix of mullet and grease. *However, and don't you conservatives forget it... we have Don King on our side, and he's the king of hair!

I'm getting quite annoyed with the Dems trying to pit the short (nearly invisible) experience of Edwards against our president. *I think the GOP needs to illustrate the point that GW spent six years *governing the second largest populated state in our nation. *Edwards began running for president the day he was elected Senator, and has a 43% attendance record. *Let's hear more about governing and a bit less about bilking the insurance companies as a resume!

Have an excellent afternoon everybody! *

Hi Maggie...welcome to our "humble" forum. *Blessings on you for what you do and congratulations for caring so much for your kids that you teach them "rightly".

Well, now, we have a plethora of subjects going here. *So, comments on a few from me would be that I'm so glad they didn't shoot that plane down, but took time to see exactly what it was; the prez IS better looking and has just the "right" hair to suit me. *He's so cute!!! *(But, that's not why I'm voting for him.) *Too bad he's not single tho, if he was, I might consider moving to DC and applying for a White House job. *(Just kiddin'), but it's a thought.

I feel for you Terri, to have to endure that travesty of humanity in your neighborhood. *If we did something like that, we'd be shut down real quickly, you can bet on that! *Just seeing something like that would make me violently sick. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/barf.gif

As for the two toilets, perhaps they married the older "motherly" women just to keep them "clean." *(Clean, toilets, get it?) *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rotflo.gif

Good Afternoon All: Welcom Maggie - you have found the best of the best on the net. You can enjoy and express yourself here without fear of being slammed and no foul language - well, maybe a little when you are talking about the two johns and their allies like Michael Moore.

OR, really liked the reason for marrying an older/motherly woman. With a potty mouth like Kerry (john 1), I certainly hope she uses a lot of Lysol.

Nancy521, ponytails were the rage when I was in High School, but that was a long, long time ago. Still think they look good and are really low maintenance. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I think that the RNC should plan for a nuclear attack during President Bush’s acceptance speech at the convention. If a Republican replacement could be arranged by what would be left of the party that person could not win. Republicans would lose all three branches of government and the terrorists would have changed the world more dramatically than ever in history.

I would suggest that neither party allow live coverage so that the exact moment that the President would be on stage could not be known. Not much chance that the terrorists would put a fire cracker in the johns but they may think that the dems could be helped by the sympathy factor.

The UN “Oil for Food” program is looking worse by the day.

Just read an excellant article by Lee Smith, a Brooklyn writer who is writing a book on Arab culture. He contends the Imams are fooling the press - after the latest be-headings the US Press turned to various experts for the Islamic history for this kind of gory murder. Imam Muhammad El-Sheikh, chief cleric at the Dar Al Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, VA told USA Today that beheadings are not mentioned in the Quran. Professor Yvonne Haddad at the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown U, agreed.

Penguin Classics translation of NJ says, if reporters had bothered to open up a copy of the Quran, they'd find at least two relevant passages: "God revealed His will to the angels, saying: "I shall be with you. Give courage to the believers. I shall cast terror into the hearts of the infidels. Strike off their heads, strike off the very tips of their fingers." (Sura 8, Verse 12)

When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield strike off their heads". (Sura 47, Verse 4).

I guess that creates a number of questions: Are the teachers of the Quran absolutely unqualified or are they knowingly lying ? I'll try and be like FOX and let you decide.

Buona Sera... just finished my infamous "Chicken" Saltimbocca. I can't seem to find veal in my local grocery store here, but chicken works well as a stand-in.

Can someone please tell me when do the terms "aiding and abetting" the enemy begin to apply to Michael Moore? Check this out, I just read it on Newsmax.

Moore Encourages Koreans, Japanese Not to Help U.S.

Korea's Digital Chosun reports that Michael Moore, director of "Fahrenheit 911," delivered Korean viewers a message in which he urged them to carry on a campaign against sending additional troops to Iraq.

The Blob Speaks Again (http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2004/7/7/100544.shtml)

This "person" is a swine. I won't use the hate word, but I really, really, REALLY would like to take a pop at this jabba the hut with a right uppercut.

KY, my concern for the RNC convention is due to what we can pretty much venture to guess will be the whack-nuts, anarchists and Moore's of the world who will try and disrupt the event. I haven't heard this yet, but it would seem to me that if a terrorist was planning an event, the last place they'd be is NYC or Boston considering the precautions being taken. Hopefully, I'm right. If they want to pull off another super-terrorist attack, I would think they'd go somewhere that is least expected. Kind of like a burglar who picks an easy target, not a house with a Doberman barking. In the meantime, I'll offer my prayers for protection for all of us in this country. We are living in radical times.

My husband and I were just discussing this at supper.

We certainly aren't living in rational times, that's for sure.

Let's put our faith in G-D - it's in His hands anyway.

I had a really peaceful time at the library today - no one came in so I spent the entire time reading my Connerly book. It's really hard to believe what that man went through - and still going through.

He concurs with so much that David Horowitz has written. His descriptions of Gore are devastating. Jesse Jackson too. And Maxine Waters. I think if she ever smiled her face would crack.

These "experts" have confused the Quran with the American media. It's the latter that has no mention of the beheadings.

Hello, all. *I've been in the Forum for a bit over a week, and should have introduced myself earlier.

I'm a 46-year-old father of four, and live on the USA's Gateway to the Heavens - Melbourne, Florida. *That's BREVARD County, not Broward County, and we had absolutely no discrepancies in the election of 2000. *I work in an airline-related industry, producing avionics and other equipment for the airlines. *It's been a real rough stretch over the last three years, and I've even survived two layoffs since 9-11. *I remember that when I turned 18, back in Virginia, that I had registered as a Democrat, but even back in 1980, I couldn't bring myself to vote for one. *

I am frustrated with even some of the Republicans that don't have backbones, but don't think I'll have much problem voting them, as opposed to the alternatives.
