Howdy Y'All!
Ready or not, I'm back. Relaxed, refreshed, rejuvinated, a little sunburned, and bummed out about returning to work this morning. There, I think that covers all the emotions. Oops, forgot the part about glad to be home. We're always glad to be back in our little part of the World.
How 'bout a fresh batch of http://www.terminweb.com/weblog/images/smallkk.jpgs, http://www.terminweb.com/weblog/images/smallchockk.jpgs, and http://www.terminweb.com/weblog/images/smallsprinkles.jpgs to mark the President's birthday? http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/HB.gif Mr. President!
We had a great trip to the Texas Hill Country. A land that is usually burnt to a crisp by early-July is lush with greenery in this the year of record rainfalls. Our plan to not have a plan worked to perfection. Got in a little fishin', a little sightseein', and a whole bunch of nappin'. And eatin'--we found the proverbial hole in the wall dump of a "restaurant" that has great catfish!. Went back twice...
[Hey GR--there's some whopper 'dillo burgers down in your parts!]
On the way home yesterday we stopped by Fort Hood. I'll share some thoughts about that experience later.
But now it's back to work. C'mon 5:00!
Glad to be back.
Later...

Good morning all.
The rest of you jest, but I’m very excited about Lurch’s VP target designation. I have a verity of arrows that I’m anxious to fire at the face of who ever he sends across the firing line. I can’t wait to see them jumping like a rabbit. Our first target will be the designee’s naked butt as they back away from previous criticisms of their new exalted leader. Those arrows will strike bone and we can twist them each and every day. But what the other targets are we won’t know until we hear which liberal he taps for the job. We know they will be very liberal but what challenge is it to put an arrow into a bull’s eye that is a thousand feet across?
I have my bow cranked up to maximum power, my arm is strong, my aim is fine from such a large target and I’m putting a razor edge on my broad heads. Send him out, or her, I can shoot up at http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wmoon.gif

It seems that all fox can talk about his morning is kerry and his vp choice. I told them so!
Edwards has no experience! And he would be a heartbeat away if lurch is elected. Gives you nightmares doesnt it? It does me!
kerry is grasping at staws to try and bring someone to his boring campaign...that might resemble clinton. Young and nice looking edwards is...but I for one do not want him anywhere near the WH...and for sure that lurch person!
Hi Dave welcome back...back to the grind...we have eaten stale kk's for all the weekend...ahhhhh...f resh...kk's nothing better!!

I haven’t turned on the TV yet but I expect to see Eddy explaining why he was critical of Lurch during the primary battle. *
I just had a vision of Eddy and his dad Fred. *Our Eddy is more of a blood sucking lawyer than a werewolf but the head of this unholy household certainly looks like a Munster.
Dave, send all of the road flattened Dillos you see to RIM and she will freeze dry them for shipment. *The Martins love those things but they pay with red rocks.
Fed had to pick Eddy because only a trial lawyer could bring himself to defend the Munster campaign strategy of hate and divisiveness. The second john will be comfortable taking the pressure off of the number one john.
Eddy Munster, second john, blood sucker, - more to come.

Good morning, Everyone!
Mr. President! Happy Birthday, Sir, and thank you for all you do so well! Congratulations on this, your special day.
Kerry-Edwards....hehehehhe hehehehehehehehehee. Makes you want to take Kerry by the shoulders, shake him, and ask, "What were you thinking!" The visionless and the blind - now there's a combination for leadership if ever there was one! I sure hope this is just God's way of showing us He has a sense of humor and in November, He's going to come out with a " Just kidding!"
I trust you all had a wonderful and safe and fun holiday weekend! Mine was not bad - even managed to catch a glimpse of my kids as they buzzed in and out!
The one time I break down and actually read some of the "Letters to the Editor" some guy is going on and on about why we NEED to elect Kerry. I'm feeling like I just have to respond..... hehehehehe
Well, you all have a great day and keep smiling as you maximize your day because God is watching over you! Be blessed.

Sorry, I forgot that Eddy is really the third john, behind McCain. *What is it with Lurch? *He just loves johns?
I guess what we have here with Eddy and Lurch is an alliance of TV land’s most famous monster families. *
Masked men in Iraq are threatening to kill Zarqawi if he doesn’t get out of Iraq today. *The idea of Iraqis threatening terrorists must send a cold chill though the liberal horde’s already very cold hearts.
Now it looks more and more like I was right about the Muslim Marine. *Gone to Lebanon. *The pretence of his death was to help him get out of the Marines and help the terrorists at the same time but other Muslims didn’t like the idea of killing him. *So we are back to just what the military thought in the first place. *He skipped out and is working with the other side. *He can never come back to the US and when we get to Lebanon we will get him.
Lurch is having a news conference but I can’t hear what he is saying. *I think Lurch’s hand jester gestures irritate me as much as his smile and head nods.
Has a Senator ever been elected president? *The dem team will be an old very liberal Senator with a long history of communist leanings and a young punk Senator with undried blood on his chin. *There is already talk about the way the trial lawyers raised money for Eddy. *Lurch should have waited to name a VP until the convention. * But I guess if Eddy gets a silver arrow through his heart Lurch can pick http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wmoon.gif at the dem coven.

NO HILLARY?
Good Morning All: And a very Happy Birthday to the President. He should have a very happy day, considering Lurch has picked a loser to run with him. Kerry has proved, once again, that he is an idiot - picking Edwards, who won't even carry his own state. During his time as senator for NC he has missed about 80% of the votes and has done absolutely nothing for the state that sent him to Washington. Before anyone jumps on us Tar Heels, Edwards is a product of SC - talk to Mr. Wells http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Laurie and I voted Republican, so we take no credit in putting Edwards in office.
My blood sucking episode has been put off until tomorrow, so I'll get stuck with nothing but Lurch and his blood sucking lawyer friend for the day. I'll let you know tomorrow if the ones that take my blood look like Edwards (or if they are a lawyer). I noticed during Kerry's speech in Pittsburgh that as soon as he announced Edwards as his running mates the placards with Kerry/Edwards were out in force. Must have sworn the printer to secrecy. They are already mentioning the fact that Kerry said, during the primary, that Edwards was without experience. Another dumb move.
Got to get off presidential politics and get to work - got a million things to do. Have a great day.

Actually, it's a brilliant political move for Edwards. He gets all sorts of PR, and, after Lurch is done speaking http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sleeping.gif , nobody will notice that, when Edwards speaks, he doesn't say a thing.
It's also a good thing for us, at least out here. The Dems were supposedly going to hit the Southwest hard, one of the reasons they were courting Bill Richardson so much. They had pretty much written off the South, but, now, it looks like that's either not the case, or they somehow figured the best match for a Massachusetts elitist is a Southern trial lawyer to reach out to the biggest cross-section of America. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tqrolleyes.gif

Lurch’s head nod as if he is agreeing with the crowd agreeing with him, as they should, because he is so cool, is sickening.
I saw the new McCain ad and it really states the essence of this race. *Fight terrorism or back off and try to build a little more socialism for our poor and helpless class. *

HI EVERYONE I've really missed you all and all your great posts. My dearly beloved took me on a long surprise vacationto Camp May, N.J.. He wanted it to be our special time together, and it was great. He is truly a special person.
I have to try to catch up with what's been happening, although I haven't ignored the political goings on entirely. I agree that Kerry is the most repulsive person to watch speaking. I'm waiting for his face to crack as he strains to smile. I heard about his choosing Edwards for VP, and I can't imagine the smarter part of the electorate poppulation seeing hoim as an asset. With no experience whatsoever, what possible contribution could he make. We don't have many foreign ambulances around for him to chase, so what else is he good for. I just love it when Kerry promises all the free health care, free college tuition, and all the other free things, and no one assks how it will be paid for. Can people be that stupid as to swallow that rediculous ruse to get elected? PLEASE GOD, SAVE US FROM THAT.
I sent the president birthday greetings with my monthly contribution. Just received the latest picture of George and Laura. What a great looking and awesome couple. I believe Laura is one big asset to his reelection. What class, unlike the Hill and the catsup queen.
This is my first day back on the computer, so I better sign of for now. I seem to need a lot of naps now. Must be the morphine I take for the pain. Thanks for keeping up the wonderfuil job you guys are doing in helping to get our manreelected. Keep it up!

"Eddy Munster, second john, blood sucker...,"
John --?? *Isn't that something used on a daily basis for one of life's basic functions? *Hmmmmm. *Is this poetic, or what?
Good morning all. *Happy Birthday Mr. President.
Before I forget, I just wanted to let y'all know that I just came from the family.org/radio website. *I did my duty this morning by composing a letter to all of the Oregon pinheads that represent us, regarding the Marriage Amendment Act. *I STRONGLY urged them to vote for it. *I also was able, via the same website, to connect with 6 conservative talk show hosts to impress upon them to get on it and stay on it in their talk shows.
Now, if all of y'all would do the same thing, we may get a ground swell after all and run these "people" to ground.
Seriously folks, if this doesn't pass, we as a society are in a heap of trouble. *So give it your best shot. *I'm following up the emails with hard letters.
Well, I must say I was surprised that Flippin didn't pick Hellory, but then, what do I know? *I just had a sneaky feeling that she was the reason why he was so secretive; and that he would use her as "the bomb" of his campaign. *Maybe he's not as dumb as he looks - nah - he's dumber.
Lurch and Fast Eddy - just doesn't do it for me.
That's it for me for now. *I'll BBL.

I think bill and hildabeast will do everything they can to railroad john kerry from being president, because its all over for the hildabeast if they dont. This should prove to be very interesting over the next few months.
I despise john kerry...and I am not sure how I would handle it if that jackass wins the presidency. Our country would certainly be on the downhill slide..and its a slippery slope! Frankly, I dont want to go there.

Howdy to everyone that is here, were here, or have yet to get here! I missed you all weekend. Darnit. Had a great time visiting with hubby's cousin's family on the 4th. What a huge extended family they have. We had a great bbq, lots of fireworks, and tons of political discussions. So, we had a few verbal fireworks as well but since we all mostly agree, it was fairly tame.
http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/calvin.gif Sean learned how to ride a dirt bike while we were there. What a kick that was. It was probably the smallest size that they make and he's big enough for the next size up but since it was his first time out, we thought the small one would be safer. He is such a natural. I guess now we may have to look into buying a used one.
Welcome back Brisk/Mark! I look forward to seeing the info on the Lt. Gov. spot for you.
I didn't do the trivia from Sunday but I think I'll pass this time. So, next week perhaps.
Think I'll go off and read for a bit. I'm going to work through lunch today so I'll stick around on line for awhile. See ya.

I had such a busy morning that this thread is already four pages long and I just got here!
Hello to Everyone!
Someone asked:
Quote[/b] ]Has a Senator ever been elected president?
Yes, John F. Kennedy. *It's generally fairly difficult for a Senator to get elected because they have a huge paper and vote trail....much larger than a governor or a general. *
I think that Edwards is a light weight, I think that Gephardt would have been duller, but much more diffucult to beat. *He is more respected and more a man of standards and core values than Edwards. *Edwards has razzamatazz - but that's about it. *Another millionaire man of the people. *Ha Ha
I popped into the threads in the forum this morning but didn't have even one minute to come in here. *It was a morning filled with fun stuff but also strange stuff - and then I went to the library which was sooooooooooo busy.
"Creating Equal" By Ward Connelly is definitely highly recommended. *You all would get such a kick out of his description of his meeting in the oval office with Clinton. *It's everything you suspect about Clinton, and more.
This man, Connelly, has a lot to say and he says it well and I only wish the country would listen to him more. *
Read the book.
Just saw Stormy's post:

It's close to being the coldest July 6 on record for Wisconsin. *I'm wearing a sweatshirt over my t-shirt it's so cold in the house. *
We had a great 4th. *The kids and their kids were here. *We ate, drank, played croquet, catch and talked a lot........even some politics. *A couple of my County Party friends dropped in as they'd been out looking for a condominium in the area. *It was good to see them, too. *My partner in crime on the float costumes was here also and stayed the night. *Actually, everyone did. *We had people sleeping in the house, in the travel trailer and in a car and van. *People all over the place. *The kids from the north left early so they could get some house type things done before nightfall.
My bud and I finished cutting out all the squares for the quilt. *I had drawn up a diagram of where each square belongs (I think it's a pretty good *pattern) so we counted them and cut the appropriate amount of squares. *I sewed 2 rows worth of squares today. *I can hardly wait to see how it looks.
Claire, good to see you again. *I'm happy you and your husband had a nice vacation. *You're right about the morphine. *I've had it a couple of times and I'd fall asleep right in the middle of a sentence and not even know I did and wake up and keep on with the sentence even though it was an hour later. *Very strange. *I'm praying for you.
We have a memorial service to go to tonight. *The Hub's niece's husband died of lung cancer. *He was 56. *He had had a kidney transplant about 5 years ago *and he was on anti-rejection drugs so they couldn't give him the full treatment of chemotherapy. *I think he finally just became sick of being sick and gave up. *It's too bad, he was a nice man, but at least his children are raised and on their own. *The Hub's *niece will be lonely, though. *

Early Good Evening to all! Welcome back Claire and Dave!
What a great day to be a conservative in the fine state of North Carolina! Yes, the king of hair shellac has now been appointed the fall guy for Lurch, so let the fun begin!
Basheva, when I was still living in CA, I absolutely loved the guts Ward Connerly showed to the UC system. What a great guy he is.
Flower- how is your mom doing, have I missed an update about her?
I'll end here with a quote by John Edwards for your edification:
(I guess Edwards didn't realize Reagan was in the White House 20 years ago. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif )
Quote[/b] ]John Edwards: "Twenty years ago most working families.....were financially secure-- They were saving money, they felt good about their future. Thats all changed. Today, families are saving nothing. They are going in debt. They are one medical problem or financial problem. Thats why we need to bring those 20 years back and get another Democrat in the White House like me."

The Commodore & his Lady unto the Forum: greetings.
Re the President of the United States, George W. Bush:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Now to the re-enactment of Dumb and Dumber (oops, the Commodore meant to say the Kerry selection of Edwards to be his fellow LOSER -- oops again, he intended to say Vice Presidential Candidate): http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif
The Commodore, like unto the Forum and Rush Limbaugh, suspects the fine hand of Hillary Rodham in this entire farce of the Democrat selection process. With W in power for the Second Term, Hillary can spend her entire two years remaining in her Senate Term in plotting for the 2008 Election.
But there happens to be the 2004 Election Process. The Dums (oops, the Commodore intended Dems, but his hair trigger typewriter got in the way) http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif have built in campaign slogans for their campaign. Emotional appeals (remember Adolf Hitler: "the masses are feminine", he wrote in Mein Kampf.
And the traditional liberal theses -- universal health care, universal education through post-secondary school, adequate retirement payments, clean water & air, "a woman has a right to choose", those who have pay for those who have not, ad infinitium et nauseaum -- the Clinton concept is the baaaad old RE Publican (& Sinner) wants to deny these rights to the poor in order to give tax breaks to the rich! Let us remember Carville and the green eye-shaded accountant. The Accountant would always say, "We can't afford it! We can't afford it! TANSTAAFL!" But then Carville and/or the DNC Publicity Arm (read: the Alphabet Soup Networks and the major newspapers less Fox News Channel and The Washington Times) would show contrasts between some wealthy snob having a multi-course meal for himself and his friends, including service by recent "Playmates", and a poor homeless bum on the street, forced to beg because his boss closed down his factory and moved the jobs to India, Indonesia, China, or elsewhere in the Third World -- including Vietnam, where so many of our boys died for naught. (Remember Our Lord and the Parable of Lazarus and the Rich Man; the Commodore adds to the parable that of The Rich Fool.)
So while we are doing our best to renew W's lease on the Mansion, let us likewise do our best to counter these emotional appeals that the DUMB o c RATS can pull out the stops to get their message off to the "feminine masses" of the American Voters. (An essay along these lines is in preparation, and will be posted soon in the Election 2004 Forum.

Damn, its hot in NC and now we can expect more hot air from our resident VP candidate. I don't who or what his base consists of, but I do know that I haven't heard a good word about him since the announcement this morning. I do know that amoung the military community, active and retired, no one likes him. I think most of NC feels that he let us down and didn't do a thing for the state. At least the number 4 liberal is in good company with the number 1 liberal. Maybe when they lose he will go to MA with his Vietnam Vet (4 months)buddy.
Flower, glad to hear your mother is doing better. Hope she makes a full recovery.

Will check back later to see if the printing of such idea is a "go."

Today was a really lovely day. I bought a ton of blueberries and we ate about a ton of them with waffles for supper. I made very low fat waffles. Oh, and pineapple too.
Flower - hope your mom gets better and better.
Sent a birthday greeting to the president. Put a big kiss on it. (Laura has nothing to worry about.)
Evening walk coming up. The agapanthus are now in bloom - my garden is going crazy with flowers.
Went to the market (Henry's) and bought gobs of fruit - avocado, cherries, blueberries, grapes, pineapple, cantaloupe, apricots. I just love the summer fruit.
Well, time to work on my dollhouse - making the bed for the master bedroom - hope it works out!
Hope you all had a great day too.

Good Evening! Welcome to our new members. Today was a pleasant enough day for a Tuesday on this 4-day work week. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *I agree with y'all, Kerry's choice won't even get him another state, given both the Carolinas are going to GW. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif
Quote[/b] ]During his time as senator for NC he has missed about 80% of the votes and has done absolutely nothing for the state that sent him to Washington. Hmm... that could be the real reason why Kerry picked him. Sort of makes a duo of absentee Senators. Collectively, sounds like the two of them together have voted on less than any other single Senator normally would. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tqrolleyes.gif

Well, the boys and I did get to see Harry Potter 3 yesterday. It was good, but the first two were better. The 2nd webcrawler movie was much better. Glad to get to see both, though. I haven't seen 2 movies in a theatre in one weekend since..... well, since I can't remember when! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif Usually, I average about 2 a year, not a weekend. Good thing we have cable. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Quote[/b] ]Flush two Johns on November 2! Vote Bush/Cheney I took an informal survey of a few people. I think pcyrdad should copyright that slogan, and have GOPUSA sell that as a bumper sticker. It could be a joint fundraiser for us and him, sounds awesome as a slogan, and could maybe be part of the "Send Pima County (as Der Alte likes to call him) to the Issues & Action Conference" fund. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laff.gif I envision T-shirts, too.... hmmm....

Well I'm finally in after a long day. I got caught in one of our famous Florida tropical downpours today, but that was just frosting on a very bizarre cake that was mine today.
Seriously, I felt as though I was in the Twilight Zone today!
My day began with an imperious call from the activities director of the Asst. Living Facility that stiffed me on Sunday. She said it was my responsibility to confirm her booking, and the note I left on her desk didn't count. I said I had been in the business 30 years and that's not how it is done. She said if I didn't want to play at her facility anymore that was my perogative. I said it wasn't the facility i didn't like, it was her and hung up the phone.
Next I called next Sunday's gig to confirm it just to be safe. The gal who had booked me had quit and the new person didn't know me. However, since I was volunteering my services, he waould take a chance on me. Gig confirmed.
Then I called my lawyer regarding two traffic tickets. I spent twenty minutes on hold, and then the person on the other end proceeded to give me a twenty digit case number and court dates which I dutifully recorded. Then she said, "Is that all you need, Natalie?" She had given me a totally different clients information.
Then I went to my doctors office to get a refill on a HRT prescription. After taking all my information, the nurse (I kid you not) asked me ,"How many ingredients are in your prescription?"

I like blueberries frozen too. But not on waffles - http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
I like to put a bit of skim milk on the frozen blueberries and the milk freezes to them - yum.
uh oh - I forgot to eat the cherries today. Oh , well, there's still time!

http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif Guess I must have done something right today. Thanks for all the kind words, and I'll check around to see if I can get some stickers made (maybe using Dave's Idea, although I'd probably need to run that through B/C'04 for the use of the logo...). I'll get going on the research now... and figure out what to do with funds later. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
I also should have used that when I was interviewed by our paper today about Kerry picking Edwards. I figure that, out of a ten-minute phone conversation with the (closet Republican?) reporter, I probably said something he can use. We'll see...
OR, our John is running, too, but not with the other Johns, so we likely won't be able to flush him.

I made up a bowl of all four items and indulged in the pleasures of the flesh to make up for a really horrific day.
So The Flush 2 Johns and my magnificent sundae has made President Bush's and Nancy Reagan's birthday a truly wonderful one for me. I better go to bed now before anything else wierd happens!

IN case anyone is interested, I think you can buy the stuff, that adheres to your vehicle, at any office supply. I think it's made by 3M, but wouldn't swear to that.
Now, I have no idea if that would make bumper stickers or not, but it would adhere to your doors, so I understand. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lookaround.gif
I think it would be so much more appropriate to use a picture of "twin commodes" than the word "johns" (possibly, the word "johns" underneath them for those who may be too dense to get it) --but, that's probably my twisted sense of humor. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laff.gif
Just my http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twocents.gif and it's probably worth a whole lot more! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yes.gif

Uh folks: The last thing I need is ideas for more calories.
I am trying to keep my dance weight. This is not easy. My husband wants to eat lunch out tomorrow which is adding to the problem. But, I can't say no - he is my favorite date.
Gosh - I'm still getting asked out for dates!
So, tomorrow - the six mile bike ride will be activated to try to pre-empt lunch calories.
Well, back to my Ward Connerly book - it's a very interesting book. He is quite a guy. He should be a hero.

There's too many post's for me to have read all of them, so I hope this hasn't already been said!
Is it a coincidence that Lurch chose to announce his second choice of anybody named John today! Because of it being "W"s birthday and he thought it would be a good birthday present for the President by taking all the attention away from his B-Day and bring the focus on the Kerry Clan?
Or is it mere coincidence??
Anyway Happy Birthday President Bush! "God Bless YOU And The Troops Who are FIGHTING for our SAFETY and FREEDOM"

Woohoo! Look who's here late at night. I finally put together something that would work for my computer to sit on and I am now back in business at home. This is the first time in over 5 weeks that I have been able to dial from the new house after boxing this thing up at the old house. Well, just thought I would pop in before Terri locks the back door (and the front one for that matter) for the night.
Think I'll do a bit of reading. Oh yes, and before I forget,
