SEOUL (Talon News) -- Imagine the pain of being a family member of a U.S. servicemember reported missing in action. Imagine not knowing your loved ones final fate for more than fifty years. The long years of uncertainty will come to a close on Thursday for the families of nineteen servicemen lost in action during the Korean War.
The remains that are believed to be those of nineteen Americans are set to arrive at Yongsan Military Compound in Seoul after being found north of the demilitarized zone in the Chosin Reservoir in North Korea.
Two teams of U.S. specialists recovered the remains after successful negotiations took place between the Defense Department's POW/Missing Personnel Office and the North Korean government.
