Welcome to the weekend at http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/gopusa.gif
What's on your agenda for today? Let's see both hockey and basketball are over. There is baseball or soccer or you could always mow the lawn. :o
Maybe it would be better to just sit there and have another http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cup.gif this morning and tell us your news.
Around here it's mostly all still fire related. It was 103,000 acres yesterday but the good news is that they estimate 30% containment now.
Did anyone see the clip from Saudi TV of the little 3 year old girl who had been taught to repeat some vile hate speech about Jews? She had been taught that God says Jews are "apes and pigs" in the Koran. It was originally on a Saudi women's show. There's a link to this story below. You truly aren't going to believe it. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif

Morning everyone. Well, here it is the first day of my summer break, when I can sleep in until forever, and I'm up and wide awake at 2:30 am!
Terri - I hope they get that fire under control soon. How close are you to it? My aunt and uncle live near Colorado Springs - I wonder how close that is?
Well, everyone have a great day, and I'll stop in later!

Terri ~ I saw the clips on Saudi TV (our wonderful friends and allies) depicting the small child "parroting" what was being taught to her. *And we ask how these young people grow up to be willing human sacrifices to that great peaceful religion of Islam. *
RANT ON <All I can say, if this religion is being hijacked, then somebody better step up to the plate and start denouncing this deplorable and disgraceful practice. *How can any religion who professes to be a believer in an omnipotent Supreme Power be arrogant enough to think that *their* religion is the be all, end all. *This shameful practice does prove one thing ~ we are are, for the most part, what we are taught from childhood. *When we reach maturity it is up to us to find our own road to God. *There is only one God and you can call him by any name you wish ~ but he is the Creator of all the universe and always has been. *When people begin to realize that they are all really worshiping the same God, then maybe there will be peace on earth.> RANT OFF Just my http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twocents.gif http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Terri ~ "mow the lawn" :o *Guess you're right, since we've gotten some rain, the little wires that we call grass are jumping up all over the place. *It's called "Argentine Bahia" (pasture grass) and it's some really tough stuff. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif *
Aberfoyle ~ I just love that picture of your flags. *What makes it shine so ~ is it satin? *
lpara ~ thanks for the "happy thoughts" ~ http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/grouphug.gif *Today has just got to be better than yesterday. *You know what they say about the "windshield and the bug" ~ well yesterday I was definitely the bug. :o
Now that I've planned to go to South Caroline on vacation, it seems that SC is in the news. *The governor is boycotting the DOE's plan to transport plutonium waste through his state. :o *Then in a place in Palm (something) a little steel ball has washed up on shore and the police have cordoned it off like a crime scene until they can determine just what it is. :o *If you don't hear from me after the 24th, send help ASAP. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/peepwallA.gif http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif</span></span>

http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wavey.gif Good Morning Terri, SueElise and RIM from http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/flag29.gif
This is "Shed Day"! *Two friends are coming to fix my shed. *It's an 8 x 12 foot wood shed that was first built as a kit from the lumber store in 1972 and taken apart when we moved here and put together again! *Now, it's needing major work so it doesn't cave in so that's today for me! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smash.gif *But it's raining so I'm now not sure what's happening.
Also, World Cup! *England vs Denmark is on right now! *And England just scored! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yelclap.gif
RIM, I don't know what the flag is made of. It's definitely a slippery material and not a cotton-type fabric. Thanks! Glady you like it.
Terri, that item from Saudi TV is just terrible. *What a sweet looking little girl too.
http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sunflower.gif Enjoy your day off in the sun, Sue Elise!
So, http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wavey.gif Bye for now... *Busy day for me.

Good Morning Early Risers at http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/gopusa.gif!
FLguy--Honk at my Sister In Law--she lives in Tampa in Cypress Meadows (she probably won't look cuz she gets a gazillion honks a day--she is beautimous! We went to a Tampa Bay Buc's game a few years back with our two oldest sons, is that the same arena? It was huge! I don't remember it being called the Ice Palace tho so maybe it is different. I remember going past something down town also. It was an indoor place and James Dobson had been there at the time. Hope you all have a great time!
pRIM, Aberfoyle, Terri, SueE, hope you all have a "fun" day. I have a lot to accomplish--My BABY is going to be 11 tomorrow. He was born on Father's Day also. Cool huh? I haven't even bought him one thing yet! PROCRASTINATOR is my first, last and middle name!
DO have a glorious DAY ALL!!

Like Der Alte, I've been doing the housework thing this morning. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/dead.gif
Has anyone had the news on? I can't believe all the fuss about burying a mobster. This guy spent his life stealing, murdering and generally making other people's lives miserable and now the media acts like they are burying someone important. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif At least the Catholic church refused him mass.
SueElise, Colorado Springs is probably 25 miles from the nearest fire. They made a lot of progress on it yesterday in all areas but one. They did backburns on this end. It got within one mile of a small town but that area seems to be much better now. If the wind stays down and the humidity stays up today should be good too.
Good rant, RIM! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif I wonder if the peaceniks have seen these clips. Perhaps they could go over and explain to the Saudi women that they shouldn't teach this to their little girls. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/doh.gif
Little grass wires? Hmmmm....we have Kentucky bluegrass here. You know, the kind that takes gallons and gallons of water that we don't have.
Aberfoyle, happy shed building in the rain. I'd be glad to take it off your hands for today, the rain, not the shed. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Terri, I am not going to be on "ice" tonight, but the Ice Palace, which is where the Tampa Bay Lightning play, also doubles as an arena football stadium, being indoors (you didn't think an ice arena would work very well in Florida outdoors did you?) So anyway, there is an arena football game tonight, so there is no ice. Just a hard wooden floor after they pull off the astroturf mats, so therefore need to bring a sleeping bag. I am sure it will be a crush of humanity.
Laurie, the Bucs play at Raymond James stadium, but am not sure if it was built when you were there if it has been a few years. Was there a huge ship in the endzone that doubled as a restaurant? I have never been there yet. *The Ice Palace is indeed an indoor stadium and likely was the place you passed on the way to the Bucs stadium. BTW, if you visit your sister-in-law, let me know, ok? http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Hmmm.... I guess I thought the foxhole was for tea and crumpets. or at least catfish and grits with tomato gravy...:mdr11: Do they have crumpets in your neck of the woods? http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Terri, in this country we call evil--good and good--evil. *The Catholic church surprises me--they usually call evil--good too don't they? http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile109.gif
FLguy--It was more than 9 years ago--the stadium looked like it was right in the middle of an intersection practically! *I bet we did go past the one you will be in tonight the last time we went. *My brother-in-law took us to some seafood restaurant down town and pointed out all the sights on the way! *Fun, Fun. *Will do--next time we visit.

Ipara, you just live in the wrong place - we got a quarter inch last night and a half inch several days ago. Seems like the day after I water the lawn, we get some rain.
It must be nice to know what kind of grass you have. I think that I have some of all, especially weeds. I use a quality weed & feed each spring and then have to spray weed killer at least twice each summer. It gets rid of them but the following year they are back with a vengence.
Heres a wish that everyone that needs rain, gets some...

Floridaguy, why are you sleeping at the arena football game? *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif Now, about ice in Florida. The Avalanche played a Stanley Cup series down there a few years ago and there wasn't any ice in the arena either, just slush.
RIM, tea and crumpets, indeed. I don't think they realize how dangerous it could be in the foxhole. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/peepwallA.gif

lpara, I'm so stunned by the Catholic church these days that I could believe anything. I was amazed they didn't hold mass for Gotti, pleasantly amazed.
Der Alte, you are a good fellow. I know what "the right thing to do" really stands for. My stepfather took care of my mother and everything else for many years. I didn't hear that, Saber. I'm not Catholic so I don't understand but maybe someone here does. I guess he can't be buried in consecrated ground either, right?
I keep forgetting to tell RIM that the reason SC is going to be locked down is because of us. We are shipping nuclear waste from Rocky Flats and the governor doesn't want it.
Another thing I'm hearing is that one of the "dirty bomber's" buddies has been arrested. He has a connection to an Islamic fund raising group that may have a connection to OKC somehow. RIM, tried the talking books, but the wife doesn't like them - she says she keeps drifting off to sleep and loses the storyline. Terri - there will be no nursing home as long as I can care for her and there is no family - all of our relatives are dead except for a niece who never has anything to do with us. We have had a good life and we WILL stay together. We just celebrated our 44th. I just received a notice from Tri-care, our supplemental insurance, and they paid everything that medicare wouldn't. It came to ฤ,171.54 and that was for 10 days in the hospital and surgery. The best item on the statement was "Great news, your TFL benefit has paid the outstanding balance not paid by Medicare. Hi all...this is my first time communicating with all you fine people (I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt )
Primrose referred to the video clip of the Muslim child being interviewed. *I saw that clip on Fox News, and it was very unsettling. *I want to throw something very unPC out there: *it is claimed that Islam is a religion of peace and that Muslims worship the same God as Jews and Christians. *Are we certain of that? *Since 9/11 many politicians and political commentators have become immediate experts on Islam, thus qualified to assure us that the religion is as pacific as Christianity. *Are we deluding ourselves just as so many deluded themselves about communism, which spoke of peace and equality and fraternity? The norm of Muslim countries is theocratic totalitarianism and economic socialism. *Are we so sure that the religion is not so fatally flawed as communism was? *Just some thoughts.

Der Alte--We go to Goldsboro to get our teeth cleaned at the Dental School there. *We live in Nash--RM--to be exact-- pretty close to Wilson--My husband makes me carry a gun whenever I go anywhere. *I've actually shot it a couple of times (target practice). *RM has their villians. *You got rain twice this week? *Nothing here to talk about. I forgot you were a federal agent. *Pretty exciting. *Seriously, if you ever do need help with anything--I have 2 very good, old-fashioned boys who like to help people with yard work, etc. just out of the goodness of their heart. *They go help my in-laws at times and they live right next door to you in Lenoir County. I'm sorry you don't have a lot of family to help you. Come visit our church any time if you don't attend anywhere. Instant Message me if you'd like the address. *Glad to know you! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/28.gif *

Hi, Dan,
I have some of the same questions about the Islam religion as you do. The media "bleeding hearts" tell us it is actually a kind, loving, and peaceful religion and these bad guys are just "extremists". I'm confused!http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
Der Alte, I was in Fredericksburg, TX recently and saw a sign, "Der Alte Fritz Antiques". When I asked a local about it, she said, "That's Old Fritz Antiques store". *Just thought you'd like to know...

So soon after 9/11, when President Bush said that Islam was a religion of peace, some huge warning bells went off. *I already knew that Islam meant *peace by SUBMISSION~~what was he trying to prove? *I almost think HE got the ball rolling with the media on calling Islam--PEACE~~http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/barf.gif

Hi Dan! Congrats on your first post. We're glad to have you here with us. Meeting new members is great! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Some people seem to be fooling themselves about Islam but their intent sure seems clear to me. It seems even more fatally flawed than Communism was. Sadly, it appears to be founded on little more than hatred.
Hi Kathy, I like the way you sign off. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Hello everyone! *I've been cleaning all freaking day today, except for the evening, which was a date with my sweetie (who has a job at McDonald's the poor thing). *Not that McDonald's is bad inherently, but this manager is mean! *Apply for a part time job, be lucky to get LESS than 40 hours a week. *Work from 7http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif0 am - 4http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif0 pm, get a break (mandatory) at 8:30 am, and none after that (if you gotta go, you either sneak in and out of the bathroom without getting caught, or risk being fired).
And they wonder why people don't work there very long http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif
Anyways, I just thought I'd chime in on this "peaceful" religion of Islam (since I saw people talking about it here earlier). *I am beginning to think that the "fanatics" of Islam are the peaceful ones. *I for one believe that Islam is a religion of hate. *The Koran explicitly commands them to kill ANYONE not Muslim, from what I've seen. *That's "peaceful" to people? *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/barf.gif
Well, I had better go now. *Got to catch up on my e-mails and other forums.
Ja ne! *(Japanese for goodbye, and the proper reply is "Ja!")

Hey Angelus! *I worked at Mickey D's as soon as I turned 16 (back in the old days), and do you know what? *I was in the group of First Girls Hired At McDonalds (in our town anyway). *McDonalds used to be all boys! *Only certain people on this forum will remember that! *It helped put me through college and I will forever be thankful for the "experience." *Had a great manager, tho! *That's what makes a difference. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif
