Israel has begun withdrawing from the West Bank, however they say that Arafat will remain locked down.

I've posted a more detailed article about the Georgia Congresswoman's terrorist connections in Congress and there is a debate ongoing in News concerning ANWR.

Aknauta ~ thanks for the great information on ANWR. Wish there was a link so I could bookmark it. So I guess I'll just copy and paste it to my notebook.

I'm getting really tired of all the whining and crying about "war crimes". And I'm tired of seeing "protestors" bashing America and our policies while they suck up on and enjoy the "freedoms" and "perks" that they didn't have before they got here. And I won't even get into the "All Blake, all the time" TV coverage. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/teeth2.gif Who cares? People get killed every day, they just aren't "media worthy". :turquoiserolleyes:

HI TERRI, RIM AND ALL GOP'ers!!!

I got back to the foxhole JUST in time to take over for RIM in her absence! You ladies have done an excellent job in my absence! Geez, someone's been hard at work keeping the hole all nice and clean and smelling sweet!! LOL

Sorry for my "extended" absence, but I was back from vacation for only a little over a day...and the router for my internet connection went kerflooie! It's been a long week talking back and forth to the manufacturer. They wanted to send me a form to fill out...pay to send back the defective router...wait at least 10 days for them to send a new one....blah..blah..b lah. Suffice it to say, I figured out a little "quicker" way to deal with the problem to avoid all their ridiculous rules, but it STILL took me a week!

Good thing it's Sunday and I can take some time to "read around" and try to get caught up on about 10 days of news!

Last week it was in the 90's here, I was sweating like a pig...and couldn't have been happier (well, except for the little computer problem!). Today, the high is in the 40's, grey, rain, cold!!! Nothing like having a 40-50 degree swing in ONE day to remind me that I'd really rather live in a more "moderate" climate! Only thing "moderate" about me, I guess! LOL

RIM, hope you haven't left yet! I think I remember that you're going on Tuesday(?). I'm sure you're busy, busy, busy getting ready to go! Have a WONDERFUL, MARVELOUS time! RELAX and have FUN! Terri and I will keep all the snipers in our sites! Take lots of pictures so we can see where you've been.

I'll check in later after I've "gotten smart" about what's going on in the world since I've been incommunicado!

Maybe I'm just insensitive but why does Palestine have a 50 year old refugee camp made up of permanent buildings or perhaps the correct question is why is it referred to in those terms? No doubt it's to garner sympathy. :turquoiserolleyes:

I'm watching Fox News Sunday and it's raising my blood pressure. Juan Williams is an absolute idiot. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mr_yuk.gif *He deliberately refuses to understand what terrorism is. I am so sick of the Arafat apologists. They should have to live with the man for the rest of their lives. Direct quote from Williams, "Israel's security is not the issue." *No, I guess not if you stand with those who want to drive Israel into the sea.

Morning all. Well, the 90 degree weather is gone, back to normal spring temps. Ah well - summer will be here soon enough.

Terri - good quote today. I often wish that those who enjoy our freedoms but complain about them should have to go visit and live in a country that doesn't have these freedoms, even for a short while. They might not complain so much. It's one of my biggest frustrations with those students who don't care to take advantage of the free education they are handed.

Terri, I watched FNS, too, the first time in months since I finally got my cable back (thus my TV) this week.
Juan is there for comic relief.
Speaking of war crimes, are you as concerned as I am about the UN Kangaroo Court?
Will we have to fight the UN to protect our armed forces from their tyranny?

Well, my nephew is coming down from Phoenix today. He's a great young man, and always makes my day.

Also, it's time to get our quarterly district newsletter going. I'm the coordinator, which means I ask, cajole, bug, and beg the Senators, our Congressman, (their Publicity Reps, really) and our local elected officials to send in their latest updates to the guy that puts the thing out.
I actually got an award for doing this by my Chairman at our last Lincoln Day Dinner. LOL!!

There have been several explosions in the Phillipines today and 14 people have been killed. They are thought to be related to terrorist groups.

Donnalee, you are right about Juan. I just need to laugh. I'm not too concerned about the World Court as long as Bush is in office. If the Democrats take control again, I think we will very quickly come under it's control.

A small breeze today--still warm--hope that cold front comes. So true about the ungrateful people complaining about America--they need to go live with Arafat and while I was thinking about that a new thought emerged (how unusual):turquoisero lleyes: maybe President Bush should send Bill Clinton to see Arafat only and maybe Arafat will kill him too! *Then we can kill Arafat--two birds-one stone! *I'm not really sadistic--:o I just sound that way. *Hope everyone has a good day!
