Just want to say hi before I go to bed for the night. I'm up late as usual, working on my Sailor Moon-related story (which is influenced more by Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel than it is the show it's supposedly based on).
If you don't know what Sailor Moon is, don't worry. It's a cartoon that was not meant for kids originally, but when it was dubbed into English, it was changed so much that it became "kiddified". Scenes with guns were cut (Hhm, rampant liberalism?), as were scenes of fighting friends and other things. Also, dialogue was changed ("Welcome to hell" became "welcome to the negaverse", and they wondered why people didn't understand it . . . .)
Oh well, I'm rambling, and I guess I'll go to bed now. Hope no one was too bored reading this post . . . Hehehe . . http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

WHOOOOOOHHHHHHHHAAAA AAAAAAA!
Couldn't stay awake for the Avs game....and just WHY is the NHL so stoooopiiiiiiddddd to put games on that late??? Geez, I can't run the world AND the NHL!!! LOL Anyway, couldn't stay awake to watch, and then couldn't sleep soundly waiting for time to get up so I could see who won! Sounds like a GREAT GAME...too bad it was at 1http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif0 in the morning around here! AND an earthquake to boot! OH MY!
I can barely even read anything more about our sieve borders. It is making me cranky as all get out....and just about LIVID! These people that twist facts into pretzels to argue the position of illegals, or terrorists is beginning to make me militant. I have ZERO compassion for ANY of these lawbreakers....or anyone that tries to twist logic all to hell and back to support them. Period. <rant never off>
I've got a major part of the day planned to be "out" because they are coming starting tomorrow for three full days of replacing our driveway, front walk, etc. and I feel a need to be here the whole time to "control" the process! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif So today is tabbed as "get everything done out of the house day"! When this driveway finally gets done, I've got big landscaping plans. Remember all those plants I bought at the flea market? Well, they're all still waiting for their hole in the ground! It would certainly help if the weather started to cooperate about the time I need to start planting. Wishful thinking. The weather here has been http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mr_yuk.gif for so long now I'm beginning to forget how lovely spring COULD be!
I'll try to run in later to post any news, but I've found that usually RIM beats me to it 'cuz she's always up before the sun! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sun1.gif Thanks girlfriend! HEY....enjoy your day off! Whatcha got planned for fun today?

I like Jimmy Carter *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *You all may look at him as a Democrat but he has done more good for the world in his post Presidency than all the other Ex-Presidents put together.
As far as the idea that Castro is making biological weapons, give me a break!! *Castro is not a stupid man. Now that the Soviet Union isn't there to protect him, he and his Island Nation would be gone in a puff of smoke for undertaking such things and he knows it.
So far, I have backed GWB on his/our war on terrorism but if he starts on Cuba and Castro I will have to question his motives and wonder if he has run amok with terror fever.

Janice, the Soviet Union may have been the biggest supporter of Cuba but it isn't necessarily the only one. Just think what a tempting location it would have for some one like Bin Laden who has plenty of money to give Castro for the use of his island as a base for biological weapons to use against us. It's the closest they could possibly get. All that is required is a well equipped lab.
To fail to protect against this possibility would be the height of irresponsibility. Why was Carter invited at this particular time? Why does Carter so often make himself available to be used by petty dictators against our countries policies? *
As it happens, there is an interesting piece this morning on the subject of Jimmy Carter. I posted it in Op Ed.

RIM - Kiddified means it was edited in such a way so as to make it less adult and more to kid's liking, because the people in charge thought that only kids ever watched cartoons in this country . .
Terri - You've seen it?! *I'm surprised that anyone here has. *I used to have some of the episodes taped, but now I've either got TV preachers or "Angel" taped over them. *Anyway, if you like it, check out my homepage if you have time.
Janice - Yes, we probably do look at Jimmy Carter as a Democrat, but only because he is one. *Not that Carter is all bad for being a Democrat, mind you. *He's no Tom Daschle or Slick Willy. *And yes, for Cuba to be building nuclear arsenals would be stupid, but I've never blamed Castro for being a smart man. *Only a ruthless, cold-blooded killing dictator who never followed through with a transition to democracy.
Castro has a horrible human rights record. *I don't know who is worse, him or Sudamm Insane . . . *When Castro'sown daughter says her leaving Cuba was an "escape", you gotta wonder. *His own daughter says he is bad news. *As I found on NewsMax yesterday:
Fernandez also decried Carter's statement that he found no evidence to support a pronouncement from the Bush State Department last week, warning that her father is developing weapons of mass destruction.
"Do you think that Castro would open the labs [to Carter]?" she said sarcastically.

Just got home and flipped on Fox to see this bizarre scene of disarming a bomb, or suspected bomb, in a corner mailbox in Philadelphia. *
Saber has posted a story about this but I think it may be about a bomb found yesterday.
We had Rush on in the car and he was giving an excellent rundown of the reasons that Jimmy Carter is an embarrassment to his country. The parallels between our two Democratic ex Presidents are remarkable really. They are both failed Presidents still searching for a way to change their legacy. We all get tired of Rush for his drama and wierdness but he has an astute grasp of history and conservative thought.*

RIM - "negaverse" was just something out of the show. In the original, it was kalled the "Dark Kingom", ruled a queen and 4 kings. In the dubbed version (the kiddified version) it became the negaverse, ruled by a queen and 4 generals are her top subordinates. If you want me to explain more, I'll special message you so I won't junk up this forum with it.

Hi guys! A fairly good day at school today. Lot's of discussion here this afternoon. I have to jump in!
I posted some info based on my own and family knowledge of the area of AZ where the border guards are crossing. I have to say, my family (that is the Mexican side of it) have been here for two generations, and we still have a lot of ties in Mexico, but we are Strongly against illegal immigration!
Carter? Well, when I matured enough to realize that Democrat didn't equal evil, I realized that he is a very good man with good intentions, but I can't recall anything he did for this country that was good except help advertise Habitat.

Do you know who you will play next?
Hi Saber!
RIM, I still haven't found a link to the entire bill. The highlights sound pretty good as far as they go.
Sue Elise, I felt that way about Carter for a long time but I'm really questioning his intentions these days. I just heard him characterized on TV as what is called a "useful idiot" by the Communist Castro regime. That may be a little more harsh than I would put it but his visit there is helpful to Castro and not helpful to this country.

Yes, Terri, the Leafs now play Carolina.
They did so well with seven of their top players off with injuries. These guys from the Maritimes (Farm Team) have done so well filling in at a moment's notice!

<span style='color:teal'>Is that MY</span> Carolina? *I heard on a local radio show how hockey is becoming more popular in Raleigh (I think it's Raleigh). *I thought, hmmm it must be hockey all the women are always talking about on GOPUSA:biggrinking:--I did notice tonight on Aberfoyle's post she did mention the word "hockey" but I haven't caught that word before--just game. *Glad your team won Aberfoyle! * *
