Bobby, it's really good to see that this story is growing. It's so nice that our poll played a role in this growth at the National level. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif I've posted the Washington Times story in Immigration for discussion.

There is also a story on the results of a study that concludes that Congress and previous administrations bear more responsibility in the failure of the INS to keep terrorists out than the INS itself does. That one is posted in War on Terror because it addresses the issues surrounding 9/11.

There seems to be one fellow on there that has a grudge against somebody - for what, I don't know. Anyway, I like FreeRepublic, so I think the article there is a good thing.

Yes, Free Republic has been citing several GOPUSA articles and polls lately. It's further proof that we are having an effect in bringing the immigration issue to the attention of the grassroots.

The disgruntled fellow sounds as though someone there has criticized him for saying the same things about immigration as we are all saying now.

Something's bugging me....I voted in the http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/gopusa.gif poll this morning and noticed that at the time I voted, 52% of the votes were for "no investigation" of the CIA and FBI. Am I missing something here? Do ya'll not think that we are critically hurting in those departments and that they need to be looked into and "culled"?.....mu ch like the INS? That was my big complaint about the "what did Bush know" flap! It wasn't Bush at all that was the problem..it was these ABC agencies that have been so PC'ed that they can barely limp along to do any intelligence work! At least that's my opinion....and I'm stickin' to it! LOL

Saber, I'm glad you're reporting on how the poll is going. I hadn't checked on it lately. I agree that we do need to go back and see why these agencies aren't doing a better job. I think we already know the answers in general but they need to be pointed out.

Do you suppose people are saying no to an investigation because of the way the Democrats have attacked Bush instead of really wanting to find the problems with the agencies and correct them?

I forgot to tell you all about our new fire. It's 4500 acres now and the priority one forest fire in the nation. The national forest where it is has been closed and some highways have been closed.

The firefighters are hoping for 20% containment tonight if it rains or snows as expected. A lot of areas are evacuated. It's jumped highways and rivers so far. They've lost a YMCA camp and one cabin but there are many houses in the path.

Rim - It's "Friday" for me too! We get a very nice long weekend (right in the middle of SOL testing) before the last 12 class days of school. Yay!

Saber - I think the poll results might be the way they are because many realize the problems with the FBI and CIA are not due to incompetence, but because of the damaging budget cuts of the Clinton era. I think (and many might agree) that a better investigation would be of his agenda in making these devastating cuts to our national defense.

Aberfoyle, sorry about the Leafs. They've certainly given it the old college try considering all the setbacks they've had to endure to get this far.

As for the murder bombers, I'm sure Israel will be enduring waves and waves of these lowlifes as they are now recruiting on the internet. There seems to be no end to the number of losers who want to sign up for "the cause". [color=hunter]How was Alan Keyes? *I heard Jesse Ventura on the Bill O'Reilley Radio show talk about being against mandating the pledge of allegiance to all public school children in his state. *He is emphasizing "mandating" but when you hear him talk, you get the idea he is trying to please all the immigrants, etc. who don't want to say the pledge of allegiance because it makes them uncomfortable. *My husband said, if someone does not want to say the pledge, they should not have the privilege of living in America. *Why do they want to come if they hate it so much!! *Why should all children who want to say the pledge, and say Under GOD be kept from saying it because of a scant few who do not? *I never thought of Jesse Ventura as trying to be PC, but this reeks of it!http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/dead.gif *Maybe I should have started a new rant! *JV suggested that we were like Hitler teaching our children to say Heil Hitler or like the Palestinians who teach their children their chants. *Please!

lpara, I hope someone has an Alan Keyes report. I got tired of hearing about the Catholic church and tuned out before he got the the border report. This thing with the church just makes my blood pressure go up. The church is so wrong and they don't seem to know it.
