Sad news this morning. *Just heard that there has been another "suicide" bombing in Israel. *Here's another *article (http://www.nytimes.com/2002/04/10/international/middleeast/10MIDE.html)(you can almost feel the pro Palestinian mindset of the New York Times) on this latest atrocity. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/teeth2.gif
Just my http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twocents.gifhttp://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif but I think the US needs to get off the fence and start backing the only friend they have in the region. *If Israel falls, we will have made a huge strategic mistake. *IMNSHO. *Guess not enough people left in the US remember WWII and what can happen. :turquoiserolleyes:
Well, off to check the other article ~ have a great day. *Will check back after work. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif</span>

And it's 1...2...3 from the foxy foxhole conservababes today posting from our hidden hideway! *HI TERRI AND RIM!
WELCOME DONNALEE! Let's hear from you!!
Quiet on the midwestern front this morning....and it's going to be sunny and warm here today!!!! *Oh, today looks like a winner! *My croci are standing tall today after peeking up through the grass two weeks ago to only find snow, wind and cold!
Another suicide bomber, eh? IF Mr. Powell and our government think that Mr. Powell is going to be a beneficial intermediary in this pit from hell..... why the hell isn't he going directly there instead of having photo ops every day in some new place "over there"? *Mr. Head Morocco-guy had a logical question for Mr. Powell... "don't you think your FIRST stop should have been Jerusalem?" *Now, as far as I'm concerned, Powell should have stayed home and stood along President Bush at the microphone and firmly stood behind Israel.... but no....we'd rather look to the world like hypocrites. *Sorry, but there's no other way around it.... I think we look like fools.
I'm going to be going away for a few days with hubby so I won't be checking in at all after today through the weekend. *TERRI and RIM....we'll have one less guard to our tunnel so you will have to do double time. *Of course, the pay is double too, so,.......keep smiling until given a reason not to....then hit 'em between the eyes! *LOL

Greetings to all!
RIM... I couldn't agree with you more! Linda Chavez wrote a great piece this week about how Bush speaks about the U.S's right to defend itself against terrorism, yet we are requesting that Israel not do the same. You can check it out at <a href="http://gopusa.com/lindachavez/lc_0409.shtml

This latest bombing is specifically designed to blow up the ill fated peace talks. How can we possibly expect Israel to pull out as long as these attacks continue? I'm afraid our President has really backed himself into a corner with this one.
Bobby, I just read Linda's article. She is right on!
RIM, it's not even as though Israel needs any help. All they really need is moral support from us.
Of course that means that the rest of the world and many in this country will hit the streets to demonstrate but so what. They already are.
If we are going to rid the world of terrorists doesn't that mean that eventually we would have to go after Arafat and his thugs? *So why not let Israel do it for us? *All I have is questions. No answers.
Saber, I think that our leadership IS being hypocritical and oh how it hurts to say that. But, that's one difference between the Democrats and us. We will admit it if our leader is wrong.*
You have a nice trip. How come you get a vacation and we have to stay home??? http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/red_eyes.gif *We'll miss you in the foxhole while you're gone.

I was reading that a new poll is out on President Bush and his number is now down to 74%...still very high...but let's remember that this is a war-time President. The erosion in the EXTREMELY high numbers, IMO, is a DIRECT hit to him from his base. He's losing them rapidly..and rightfully so.

Yes Saber, I agree that the President's stance on terror as it relates to Israel is bound to hurt him. I think that all of us who form his base have to remember that while we don't agree with this, we do agree on many other things. I don't know how he can change his approach now but......
Did anyone hear Benjamin Netanyahu's speech this morning? He very clearly pointed to the differences in our official stance on terror as it relates to us and as it relates to Israel. I couldn't disagree with him. He also very clearly said that Israel will do what Israel needs to do.
I just heard a very carefully worded ad on a Denver radio station that was sponsored by The Peace & Justice Alliance. The ad was crafted to sound friendly to Israel but ended by calling for them to remove their settlements on the West Bank. I'd love to know who is funding these ads. The group is an old anti war group I believe. Maybe they have Muslim funding these days.

<span style='color:purple' >Good Afternoon All!
Bobby ~ thanks for the link to Linda Chavez. *I respect and admire her immensely. *A very wise lady.
</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">If President Bush succeeds in getting the Israelis to pull out of the West Bank before they have completed their mission, it will embolden terrorists everywhere. And we may well pay the price in the United States, as well as Israel.
<span id='postcolor'>
Absolutely! *And what a message it would send. *I'm reminded of the story about the man who kept feeding his friends to the alligator in hopes it would eat him last. :turquoiserolleyes: *When in reality, if he joined forces with his friends they could outsmart and overtake the alligator. *I just can't imagine not supporting the only democratic state in the region. *This could come back to haunt us big time. :o
SR ~ have a great "mini vacation". *I'm so jealous ~ you beat me by a week. *We'll keep a sharp eye out on the tunnel ~ Terri on 12 then me. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/red_eyes.gif No terrorist will get by us ~ you can count on it. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif Have a great time and hurry back. *We'll miss you a bunch. *Oh ~ and I agree about the poll numbers ~ they could sink like a rock if Israel gets into real trouble. *Then Bush will really have to fish or cut bait.
</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">RIM, it's not even as though Israel needs any help. All they really need is moral support from us.
<span id='postcolor'>
Right ~ they are second only to us in military might. I don't think even Russia can top them in military technology and expertise. They are the only place in the whole region that totally supports the US and it's idealogoies. *What on earth do we have in common with the rest of the Arab world except oil?
Well, Cavuto has cornered the market on the pathetic Palestinian spinners. *Yesterday it was Raghida Dergham ~ I thought I was going to kick in the TV before she finished and now today he has yet another Palestinian woman, Hanan Ashrawi,:mr_yuk: whining and spinning. Don't these women know that women are of little value in the Muslim world? *Maybe even less than children. *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/teeth2.gif * When are these journalists going to learn they are not going to get a Muslim to admit that human bombers are terrorists. *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsdown.gif *This woman is worse than the one yesterday. *She hasn't a clue. *Just spouting the party line. *And this is the mindset we are expecting the Israelis to reason with. *If I were a betting woman, I'd bet that Powell is going to return to the US a very disappointed and empty handed SOS.</span>

Hi Everyone...
I'm late today!
Just awful news from the Middle East. *I don't understand the way people are thinking.
I listened to Benjamin Netanyahu's speech and I was sitting here in my living room nodding my head in agreement to everything he was saying. *It was very well done and I think it's terrible the way the world is acting toward Israel right now.
I'm off to read that article, Bobby.
Terri, I can't believe that Aberfoyle water is available in Colorado! *It's good water! *And it's from here in my town!

Thanks for that link. That's a wonderful article by Linda Chavez.
Hi Saber! Have a good weekend.

RIM, I heard today that Israel's capability in the air exceeds ours as far as the number of missions they can fly. They have our planes and our weapons. They can take care of themselves and we need to just stay out of the way. They can handle it.
No way, no time, do any of the Palestinian talking heads ever say that Arafat needs to stop the terror. They never condemn suicide bombing. I've started listening to Sean Hannity in the afternoons. He just became available here and I'm really enjoying his show. He has Bill Bennett on right now.
Earlier someone called and told Sean he's a traitor for supporting a foreign government against his President. I don't see it that way at all. He and we too are supporting the President's first message against terror instead of his recent mixed message.
Aberfoyle, that water is probably available all over the United States or anywhere there is a Walmart. Many if not most Conservatives in the US are not against Israel.
Saber, you be careful down there in Palm Beach and hurry back to us! Watch out for those that can't read the ballot. They probably don't read roadsigns either. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
