Mornin' All! Well, it's still a beautiful weekend. Last night some friends and I went to a festival held at our waterfront park (one of them, anyway) - all day for ŭ, and great entertainment. Better Than Ezra played last night, and they were so cool! They dedicated one song to our local boys out on the ships fighting the terror war, then asked for a member of the audience who could play one of their songs from start to finish to come up on stage and play with them - very cool!
Those AZ fires are looking pretty scary - very close to where my grandmother was living by herself for 15 years - thank God she moved in with my parents last summer! I still have a lot of family and friends near there, as well as family and friends near the CO fires. I'm praying for LOTS of rain!
I have to go read some about this conspiracy theory. From what I've heard, it's the most absurd, asinine theory in history.

Good Morning! Happy Saturday in the Precinct RIM is right, just about anywhere in SW Florida, it is indeed raining again (insert smilie with an umbrella, here! ) How am I going to ever practice for the Mile Swim BSA that I am going to attempt in 2 weeks when it rains constantly. We have received a total of about 8 inches the last 2 weeks or so. We need the rain, but it wouldn't hurt to spread it out instead of receiving it in one lump over a month or two. Dry, flooded, dry, flooded.
Terri, I believe the creek already rose near RIM judging from the crayfish in her swale; however, I hope the transition goes well tonight. We don't want to be losing any of our canine superheroes (private Moderator joke) http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/28.gif
Today is a family day. Got up and made the wife and older boys french toast, wife made coffee. Going to a baby party for a playmate of our (almost) 2 year-old son this afternoon. Tomorrow we are going to a shower for my dad's girlfriend's daughter in the People's Republic of South Florida (Broward County). Therefore, I really can bring the flag back to the "right" coast. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Probably will be down there all day, but will sign in at night tomorrow if we don't get back too late (not that there is such a thing as "late" with these conservababe/foxes). It is a great day to not be outside here. May have to let an inch or two of water out of the pool.
Have fun, relax, enjoy your weekend. Don't panic when you wake up tomorrow and everything in here looks different. Either it is because the Ikonboard changed successfully, or because you forgot to put in your contacts. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/JEDIpinkietoo.gif

Good afternoon all! I know I'm late today, but on the weekends mom takes the computer hostage for long periods of time.
Yesterday I drew from Ephesians for my sermon. There was a bit of a discussion about it, and the general consensus (and my opinion) was that it boiled down to one thing. Men and women must be willing to submit to each other, not always, but not never.
And that brings me to my sermon today, which is a follow-up to yesterday. The reading is from Genesis 2:21-25.
So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
The man said,
"This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man."
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
The man and the woman were both naked, and they felt no shame.
Here ends the reading.
So what is the point? Beyond showing how woman came into existence, it also demonstrates that man and woman are to be equal. If you read back, you find that the whole purpose of this was to create a suitable helper, or partner, for Adam. And the fact that she came from his side is significant. She did not come from his foot so he may walk over her, nor from his head so that she may be over him. No, she came from the side, so they may be side by side partners, that they be equals.
That is why I support the true feminism movement, which seeks to elevate women and keep women at a status of euality with men in our society. I do not support the feminazi movement, which would have us believe that Eve came out of Adam's head. Nor do I support the machissmo groups that treat women as if they came out of Adam's foot for him to walk all over her. Occassionally there are times for women to be submissive, as there are times for men to be submissive as well. But on the whole, both should be equal.
Now, can we carry this equality thing over to race? Of course, and we must. It isn't simply a male/female thing, it is a white/black/hispanic/chinese/whateverelse issue as well. We have five basic colors to define people with.
White, black, red, yellow, brown. Adam came out of dirt, if you'll remember correctly. Those same five colors of people are the five colors of dirt. Adam was not strictly white, he was everything, as was Eve. We're all from the same multi-colored soil, of the same blood. Therefore, we are all equal in creation. God sees us all the same.
So, whether we are male or female, black or white, red or yellow or brown, we are all of the same family. We are all part of mankind. That is the only race that exists, in truth. And until we get past this divisiveness of "African-American" or "Hispanic-American" or what-have-you, and we refer to each other as simply fellow human beings, there will be no peace, and no true equality can ever be reached.
May God shine his face upon you and bless you always, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen.
Well, hope everyone is having a good day! I know I will be shortly! I'm going to see Boots Randolph at 8http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif0 tonight, and dinner is at 6http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif0, so chances are I'll be back sometime tomorrow or maybe not until Monday (Mom might take the computer all day tomorrow).

G'day Terri and all.
Been paying a LOT more attention to my consulting business than political boards for the last couple months. The current contract still has a couple weeks to go so I'm staying busy.
Was just doing bookkeeping and payroll so thought I'd stop by briefly and say "hello."
"They're dropping like flies." My board, then Nick's, now Tiki's (again). Wonder if it's contageous.

Hi Chuck! Long time no see but I knew you were working hard. Hope to see you around here a lot more when your contract finishes.
Yes, several boards have gone down lately but it's not contagious. It just takes a tremendous amount of time, dedication, hard work, and vision to build a political website. Two and 1/2 months ago we had 50 members in the Forum, most of whom never posted. We're green and growing, changing, and improving all the time. Plus we don't have some of the confusion here, if you know what I mean. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif This is a good place to hang one's http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hat.gif
