Good Morning, Terri, and all. I say "morning" loosely because it's still Wednesday night where I am. Just catching up on the news on FNC before going to bed.
Something interesting: evidently there are three news networks or channels in Iraq -- one run by the coalition, a second (that I didn't get the details about because I tuned in partway thru the segment, and Al Jazerra (hope I got the spelling right). It seems that the coalition network draws the largest percentage of viewers at 40%, and Al Jazerra the smallest percentage. That was great news to me. I have been wondering what we are doing to combat all the misinformation that we we know is being disseminated by Al Jazerra. If anyone saw more of this than I did, will you please fill us in?
I've also been wondering about what we are doing to help the school age children understand what is going on in their country. Are they being taught about democracy in their schools?
I wish we could get a more personal view of what is going on in that country. I did read the article from the Iraqi bloggers a few days ago and found that very interesting. I for one would like to read more from the citizens of Iraq. What are they thinking? Are they hopeful about their future? Or do they see this as futile?
Well, it's off to bed for me. I'm leaving for Palm Desert tomorrow for a few days. According to the weather report, it will be between 97 and 105 and sunny for the time I'll be there. Now THAT's warm!!

What a dork. *And the people that believe that notion are the same people who spit on the troops as they came home. *Those same people have spent 30 years denying claims for soldiers, and have, really, put them out on the street to die.
That's what you call "Compassionate Liberalism". *
Quote[/b] ]Greenspan predicted that oil prices are going to stay high.
Let's not forget to blame the high gas prices on ENVIRONMENTALISTS, who have demanded that 12 different grades of gasoline be introduced across different parts of the country. *If we didn't demand so many "specialty" grades of gas, we could buy bulk, and it would be made so readily available. *
On the West Coast, we have to have the Ethanol additive.. but only 6 months out of the year, and then we have to have gas WITHOUT Ethanol for the other 6 months. *Guess what that does to supply and demand. *Go figure.
Sad thing is :bandhead: *we're STILL not really "saving" the environment.

Good morning, All,
Thank you again, so very much, for all the birthday wishes. It is greatly appreciated! Yesterday was, indeed, a good day.
On the one hand, I can't believe how hateful and scared the libs are and how much they attack with such inane stupidity. On the other hand, it's easy to measure the fear of one's opponents by the size of their attacks. The libs must be terrified!
Just a quick note this morning as I'm running late but I just had to wish you all of you a merry day and to urge you all to continue to fight the good fight. I am reminded that in God's word (2 Chronicles 20:15) "The Lord says, ' Don't be afraid! Don't be paralyzed by this mighty army! For the battle is not yours but God's!'" Victory is assured so fight on in faith! God bless you all and may the most of what you need today be the least of what you get.

Mamacat, there are a lot of Iraqi bloggers to read. If you need links I'll post somemore. I read them nearly everyday but they haven't gotten a lot of interest here. We've rebuilt the schools in a lot of places, at least the ones where the shooting has stopped. There is a site for sending school supplies to Iraq. I don't think the schools are religious schools but I don't know what they are being taught. Would be good to know.

Good Morning All: Got up in a good mood, the sun is shining brightly and the temperture is supposed to be 78 degrees. Now you want to know what went wrong - logged on to GOPUSA and the first thing to catch my eyes was the name of Hillary the Jerk and Saddam McDermott. Now thats no way to ruin someones day. I know the Arab way is to live by the lie, however, I would probably believe them over Hillary.
Just signed the contract to have the roof replaced and a new vent system for the bath - $2542.00. RIM, you could have done a lot of shopping with the profit from that http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I know I shouldn't have any complaints - other locations in the US would have been at least double that for a 1700 SF house.
Today is yard cutting day along with our shopping trip, so it will be a busy day. If I don't get enough exercise from cutting the grass, I'll make up for it tomorrow - we will be going to the wife's house to cut the grass and its a full acre. Her daughter is getting a turf service to come in and cut the grass, but has to get on their schedule. Maybe this will be the last long distance grass cutting for the season. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
Have a great day and hopefully I'll find time to get back this evening - that is after I do my duty and irritate a liberal.

Quote[/b] ]Mike DeCesare, spokesman for McDermott, said the congressman "hesitated, unsure of what he should do because the words 'under God' are under court review." Arguments were held in March before the Supreme Court whether to uphold the 9th Circuit's Pledge decision.
Just another example of Liberal Dems more concerned about what the left-leaning courts are doing, rather than what the people of the US actually want. I noticed this story got very little mention. I only knew about it because Rush played the audio on his show Wednesday. What happened to the sacred "Separation of Church and State" that the Libs are so concerned about??? If they're so concerned about this bastardization of the Bill of Rights, then he shouldn't care that the Pledge of Allegiance is under review by the courts. Amazing stuff! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/banghead.gif

Good Morning All:
Just wanted to introduce myself as a new member.
I look forward (at last) to holding intelligent conversation with other Americans who are willing to listen, without being subjected to hatred, bias, and last but not least...stupidity.
I am the editor/webmaster of my own Political Opinion site called 'The FREE AMERICA USA WEB Times'.
I do not wish to invade your primary purpose here by lowering your standards. However. I am looking for help, and can use whatever I can get since I use my site to EXPOSE the blatent abuse and disregard for Our Constitution.
Before I die (I'm now 57), I hope to uphold the oath(s) I took as a Navy Veteran between 1964 and 1995.
When I retired.....The words in the Oath(s) did not RETIRE at the same time. They will remain my responsibility until I push up daisies!
If interested. I'd appreciate having you visit my site at:
"http://freeamericausaweb.co m/times1.html"
It may make you angry....But I guarantee whatever you read there.....Is nothing but the TRUTH!
Looking forward to hearing from all of you!
GOD BLESS AMERICA and GOD BLESS OUR MILITARY!

Howdy Y'All!
Lot's of early activity this morning. But first, takin' care of business from Wednesday.
For Charie: Here's your special http://www.terminweb.com/weblog/images/smallkk.jpg request. Folks, these are filled with Vaseline dyed with #9 red.
I won't ask if you don't tell.
And to accommodate the large volume of traffic, a big http://www.terminweb.com/weblog/images/rescue.gif delivery to get us started. With Charie's inspiration, there's plenty of raspberry and strawberry fills for the rest of us.
http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/witch.gif and the Arabs? I sure am glad most of my choices in life are easier to deal with.
To Flower: a very special Gold Medal http://www.terminweb.com/weblog/images/smallkk.jpg for you. Anyone calling http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/witch.gif a five-star b**ch is a dear Friend of mine. But remember, its a Gold Medal http://www.terminweb.com/weblog/images/smallkk.jpg, not a Gold Ribbon http://www.terminweb.com/weblog/images/smallkk.jpg.
I must hop on a conference call in a few minutes. Back later...

I head to the Venice Holiday Inn for another one, where I will be from 7:45 to 8:15 PM. Well KKK Bryd and the New York Slimes are in fine fettle today. They are saying the war in Iraq is lost and we should pull out or there ASAP.
I going to make my personal comments short right now, because of the this piece that I got in an email this morning: Quote[/b] ]WIFE OF A SOLDIER IN IRAQ
By Lori Kimble
Frequent contributor to the Washington Dispatch
I was sitting alone in one of those loud, casual steak houses that you find all over the country. You know the type - a bucket of peanuts on every table, shells littering the floor, and a bunch of perky college kids racing around with longneck beers and sizzling platters. Taking a sip of my iced tea, I studied the crowd over the rim of my glass. My gaze lingered on a group enjoying their meal. They wore no uniform to identify their branch of service, but they were definitely "military:" clean shaven, cropped haircut, and that "squared away" look that comes with pride.
Smiling sadly, I glanced across my table to the empty seat where my husband usually sat. It had only been a few months since we sat in this very booth, talking about his upcoming deployment to the Middle East. That was when he made me promise to get a sitter for the kids, come back to this restaurant once a month and treat myself to a nice steak. In turn he would treasure the thought of me being here, thinking about him until he returned home to me.
I fingered the little flag pin I constantly wear and wondered where he was at this very moment. Was he safe and warm? Was his cold any better? Were my letters getting through to him? As I pondered these thoughts, high-pitched female voices from the next booth broke into my thoughts."I don't know what Bush is thinking about. Invading Iraq. You'd think that man would learn from his old man's mistakes. Good lord. What an idiot! I can't believe he is even in office. You do know, he stole the election."
I cut into my steak and tried to ignore them, as they began an endless tirade running down our president. I thought about the last night I spent with my husband, as he prepared to deploy. He had just returned from getting his smallpox and anthrax shots. The image of him standing in our kitchen packing his gas mask still gives me chills. Once again the women's voices invaded my thoughts. "It is all about oil, you know. Our soldiers will go in and rape and steal all the oil they can in the name of 'freedom' Hmph! I wonder how many innocent people they'll kill without giving it a thought? It's pure greed, you know."

C-SPAN has Nance Pelosi on taking questions about why kerry should be elected. *She is one of the worst liars in Congress. *She called kerry “president kerry” and then apologized. *She can’t imagine why President Bush won’t testify before the 9/11 commission under oath.
I watched another little bit of C-SPAN last night and they had a whole gang of dims on bashing our efforts to save the planet and our way of life. It made me wonder who votes for these idiots and it made me very sad about the future of this country.

Hi everyone! Just dropped in for a minute, I'm in the midst of getting everything rigged up for the new house. Phone, cable, trash pickup, the usual stuff that has to happen. I have been busy but I'm hurt that no one sent Rex out after me.
I just wanted to say that I am absolutely embarassed to say that I hail from the same state as Comrade McDermott. What a maroon!!! He really back pedaled to the local newspapers today saying that he just wasn't sure if he should say it or not. But in the same interview, he also stated that while he is a Christian, he does not believe that his religion should have anything to do with his politics. That would mean that the omission was on purpose. He went on further to say that he learned the pledge when he was a young boy and it was without "Under God" so he's been saying it that way all along. Further proof that the omission was on purpose and that he's been doing it that way every day of his adult life. Do you think he's perhaps related to Kerry in that he can talk out of both sides of his mouth within the same paragraph?
Argggggggggh. I think I have a few minutes to read then I need to get back making my phone calls and getting everything ready so we have all the necessary services when we move in to the new house. BTW, the house we're in now sold in 12 days, at full price. How http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif is that?
Keep up the good fight. Bug a liberal today. See you all later.

The reality is that the chicken hawks in this administration are doing a lousy job of bolstering our nation's defense and supporting the troops,'' ~ Senator Frank Lautenberg with his knickers in a twist on the floor of the Senate.
Good afternoon GOPUSA
That statement makes me embarrased to be from NJ! The nerve of any one from the dumborat party ( the one with Barney Frank and Mel Reyonlds in it as well as Billybob Clinton) calling anyone chicken hawks is funny (NOT!)
Another meaning of chickenhawk is a man who cruises for young boys to have sex with. Wonder if Freak Lousenberg was trying to go there. If so, then it has gone well beyond the time to make campaigns against dumborats down and dirty affairs, and to treat them with all the civility this subconsious attack has earned them, which is none.

There were some people I knew from either the REC or clubs at all the parties, but even better there were a lot of people I didn't know, and some new volunteers. The highlight of the evening was when I was at the last party, our venerable Vice President conference called to the approximately 4000+ parties around the country, and after a short speech and thanks for helping the campaign, he took some selected questions Ken Mehlman had from people on the phone. Not surprisingly, the four questions were one each from NM, OH, IA, and FL. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *All of the parties had ample supplies of BC'04 bumper stickers, buttons and signup forms.
