HI TERRI AND LADY PARRISH AND RIM!HAPPY "22" TO IPARA! *AND ANGELUS...IT SOUNDS SERIOUS!!

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood (thanks Mr. Rogers!)...the sun is BRIGHT and the sky is BLUE! *I was beginning to think the sky was becoming a permanent shade of winter gray! *I have to look up that S.A.D.D. disease..I think I've got it! *I become the Wicked Witch around here after months of this "grayness". *SO, today is going to be filled with planting, planting and planting! *Good thing I won't have to be interrupted today by the world's second best game! *:wink: *But a surprise birthday party late afternoon is going to put a crimp in my planting!

Hello All!

There is breaking news from Oklahoma this morning and it's not good. It's another in the series of wierd accidents. A barge hit the supports of an I-40 bridge over the Arkansas river. A large section of the bridge collapsed and they have cars and divers in the river. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif * This would be about 30-35 miles west of the Arkansas state line. They are saying it's in Sallisaw. *

It's time to do some planting here too. Next week we will pick up some bedding plants. Can't do it too much sooner here. It was 34 degrees the night it rained and snowed so much. :o

I hope the people in Oklahoma are going to be o.k. *Did they say there were fatalities? *

Forgot to say that there must be fatalities in the bridge accident. There were some photos on FOX earlier. There are apparently vehicles underwater that have been down there for hours. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

I'm back from a long trip around our wonderful state. It was sunny and warm and a good time was had by all. Glad to see GOPUSA is still growing stronger each day and I am happy to be back.

Welcome Back Aknauta! *Glad you had a nice trip. *The other day, my 10-year old son said he would like to live in Alaska:biggrin: *He said most people just think of it being cold there, but it is really very beautiful with mountains and streams. *He's definitely the outdoorsy type!

Today, I went to church this morning and then rushed home to make some rhubarb crisp in time for Andrew and Terena's arrival to take me to the Lilac Planting at the University in memory of our loved ones we've lost. It was really nice. The sun was shining brightly and everything was just fine.

Now, it's time for supper!

Wow! We're right this minute having a massive shuffle in our House of Parliament here in Canada. The Prime Minister has fired the Minister of National Defense! Many other changes as well. What a mess!

Evening all! Just got back from visiting my parents. They gave me a spa day for my birthday, which was WONDERFUL. Massage, manicure, pedicure. I've decided I have to treat myself to these things regularly!

Thunder rally was in DC today - big motorcycle "march" on DC to honor vets and pows. My parents live pretty close to a Harley dealership, so we heard them set out - it was pretty cool. That is a very sweet bike!

Saw "A Knight's Tale" last night, too - hysterical movie! If you haven't yet, it's a must see.

It's been a sad day knowing that so many people have probably drowned in the Oklahoma bridge accident. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif *It reminds me of the terrible accident that happened in Tampa/St.Pete when a ship rammed the Skyway bridge and many people lost their lives when their cars fell into the water. *We just never know ~ how many times do we cross a bridge or a train track and not even give it a thought. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif *

Hi Sue Elise! Sounds like you had a great visit! We're glad you're back! Usually our Senator Campbell rides with Rolling Thunder, not sure if he did this year or not.

RIM, this barge/bridge incident is apparently just an accident but it seems strange. They are saying that maybe the barge captain had a seizure. :o *Last September 12, a barge rammed the Padre Island Causeway. *It was completely out for several months and they had to use ferries. They had it back in operation by the time we got down there in February.

Terri... We decided to go after all the campers came home instead. So my hub got his Monza back up and running and we visited with family and friends and decided not to venture into the woods with so many drinking. We had a shooting in one campground it said on the news.. not near where we were going but yuk..They both shot eachother while arguing.

We accomplished some much needed stuff to be done so we can really be free to go the next time.

My son in Ohio who was activated from the Reserves Air Force for a year will leave June 2nd for 3-9 months TDY to Florida.. He works security even on his civilian job at the base. Please pray for his family and their separation.. My Grandkids are 5 &6 and were supposed to come here for 2 months to Oregon like last year.. I pray it can still happen now.
