Morning all! Well, it really has been an eventful week. I hadn't even heard about the bombing yesterday until I turned on the news this am. Drudge is reporting that Oliver Stone thinks Israel should get out of the west bank! As though his opinion amounts to a hill of beans!!!

It was supposed to rain today, and I had planned to do housework, but it's going to be sunny, so I'm thinking I'll let the house stay a little dusty and hit the beach again! I could really get used to all this leisure! Where does one meet attractive single millionaires again?

Mornin' all!

Busy day at work and in life in general. I hope to be able to pop in and out while my computer at work is doing its thing.

Anyway, I got this link in my email this morning:

It's pretty funny, yet sad.

Ya know, I feel sorry for the Smart family, (or those that actually care that the girl is missing), I really do. But what makes this case more special than the other thousands of missing children cases? Not to sound heartless or anything, (shut up Rad :cheesy:).

RIM...sorry you missed that O'Reilly segment with Tancredo and the clymer. *It was invigorating, even though the gum flapper Rodriquez wouldn't let Tancredo get a word in edge-wise! *I heard him mention his petition that is to go to the President. *I'm signing it today...along with my two dogs. *They're pumped up and ready to sign with the "X" too!

Ipara....you have a WONDERFUL time with your "bestie". *Nothing like friends...and good ones....to really make life worthwhile.

Terri~~~I heard about Keyes' show being cancelled. *I heard his ratings were terrible, unfortunately. *I hadn't heard of any "muslim" pressure about it, but it wouldn't surprise me either. *I just think it was the ratings that did him in. *AND.....THANKS for the link to the petition. *Saved me a few minutes of scrounging around for it!

Oh! Before I forget. laughin posted a very encouraging article in Immigration. Check it out! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif

Do I remember correctly that Neil Nutze is a Libertarian? We have a big flap here this year over a Libertarian candidate. He's trying to throw the Senatorial vote to the Democrats.

Aberfoyle, I haven't heard about the child in Wisconsin if it is a recent one. I do remember a case similar to that from some months ago. I suppose there are two things that make the Smart case so intriguing to the media, the first being that the girl was actually taken from her own bed in the middle of the night and it doesn't hurt that the family has money. Now, it may be the total ineptness of the police that is fascinating.

Der Alte, so will I. I sure hope it's many, many thousands of people.

Remember the petition that some of us signed to insist that the Senate act on the President's Judicial nominees? I got an e-mail report on that one saying there are 45,000 signatures so far. Here's the link again for anyone who hasn't signed it. http://www.regainthemajorit ycom

Saber, glad you mentioned the Palestinian poll. It reminded me that I heard a report that some Muslim businessmen took out full page ads in their newspapers condemning the homicide bombers or at least asking them to stop. I need to find a written story about that. Now why did they wait so long?

I'll look for the Muslim/Keyes story too. I don't know if there is anything to it or not.

SueElise, Oliver Stone can always rewrite the story of Israel and the West Bank and sell it to the sheeple as truth. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif

Neal Boortz is indeed a proud Libertarian. He's very Conservative minded on alot of things and he speaks his mind in my kind of style...no PC...no wishy washy. He is insufferable however when he talks about drugs. I can't take it at all. I turn him off immediately.

Anyway, Mark...So you've got an undergrad from USC, a masters from Georgetown and a JD from Georgetown, and you are now a Prosecutor in the US Attorneys' office in Chicago?! That's alot of schooling there young man! You must have had a good educational upbringing. Did you go to public schools here in the US?

Terri....sounds like you're not a "shopper"! May be the first time we've ever disagreed on anything. I'm a hunter extraordinaire and haunt all the flea markets, resale shops and outlets like you wouldn't believe. It's my numero uno funnest thing to do. I posted the Keyes article in Current Events. It sounded more like a rumor than anything else.

And the Palestinian ad story is now in War on Terror.

There was just a news update on the Smart case saying that computers from the extended family have been taken to be analyzed. This will probably turn out to be an extended family member.

Saber, it seems to me that the drug crowd has really taken over the Libertarian party. I think our candidate is off to the Taste of Pot party. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/doh.gif

We have a cooler day with a little higher humidity here today. There was a little rain on some of the fire area last night. Hopefully that will help because the fire is up to 135,000 acres now, 5 times larger than any previous Colorado fire. The one near Durango is still very bad and we have a new one near another place I dearly love in the San Luis Valley. Just can't win on the fire front this year. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

The animal evacuations are interesting. Our Humane Society has filled up and emptied their garage of vehicles to set up portable kennels in it. Their large animal facility is full of all sorts of farm animals and the new ones are being assigned to private individuals who are willing to take them. All the rodeo facilities and many ranchers are taking them too. It's really amazing.

I have a better idea for then keeping Terry the fire starter in jail. They should put her in park surronded by water with all her possessions, and let each person who lost something get to burn and destory something that matters to her. The only problem is that the Liberals and ALCU would have a fit about that.

Good Morning all Wow, this place gets busier and busier. I noticed that the final count on precinct posts for Wednesday was 67 (with over 400 readings); that has to be a record, can you verify that Terri? BTW, I have no problem with M & Ms, but I long stopped worrying about what color they are. I happen to love them, and eat whatever color they happen to be, to get my proper daily allowance of FD&C dyes http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif I would rather have them put more in those tiny little brown and white packages than keep adding colors. Isn't that what they did with Lucky Charms cereal? (Added more and more marshmallows until there are about 50 different kinds in there now; it takes all day just to figure out what's in your bowl). I also noticed they never marketed a "super size M & M" even though they came out with minis. A very large M & M would be cool IMO. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Laurie, You are not too old for anything. I still like you being in charge while my neighbor is away (RIM) and think you should hold onto your spot as queen of the foxhole, even when everyone is here. You got my vote. And I promise not to tell your hubby your are in charge if you promise not to tell my wife that I am in charge. :1luvu:

RIM, do you suppose I could start a forest fire in Hardee County with your do's & don'ts list you leave on the fridge? I am sure it will be good tinder for something or other; we obviously won't play by the rules while you are away (although I promise to play nicely). http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Also, the stuff in Chinese food I believe is MSG, not MS unless you were talking about something else (as opposed to monosodium glutamate)?

Aberfoyle, can you fit three futons in the shed? I am quite sure no one would be sharing theirs with me. (If I am even allowed within 10 foot of the shed in the first place, or the backyard for that matter) http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/boots.gif

Saber, Regarding the Palestinians and related quote, this should come as no surprise to anyone. I have been saying all along that the ultimate goal of Arafat and the Palestinians was to eliminate Israel, period. They have been less bold in admitting that lately, but since the "theoretical diplomacy" angle is not working for them, most will admit the true purpose once again behind this entire charade. The creation of a Palestinian state would be the start of the end of Israel. Next, Syria will want a piece of Israel, then the Lebanese, Egypt will want a bit more, until there is essentially nothing left of the state and they are too narrowly geographically defined to prevent an all-out assault by their Arab neighbors. IMO, the agenda is the same for all of the surrounding nations, to ultimately do away with Israel, which would have the effect of the Israelis and the Palestinians switching places from where they are now (i.e., the Israelis, whatevers left of them, would become the nomadic, splintered groups of a few houses here and there, and all of the Arab countries would have the permanent settlements and land).

Mark, what stunt did you pull at George Town? (referring to your earlier post). Just curious.

Everyone have a great day, BBL after perusing the posts (with lunch thrown in on the side).

**Yawn**
Good morning everyone. I was up until 1:30 in the morning yesterday, so I slept in until 11http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif0 today (I love the month of June, nothing pressing needs done here ever). That said, on with the sermon this morning.

The reading today (only one reading) comes from Joel 3:1-2,16

In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehosaphat. There I will enter into judgement against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel.
(16)The Lord will roar from Zion, and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the sky will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.

Here ends the reading.

OK, I know a lot was skipped here. You can go read the entire passage if you wish. But the basic point is that Israel is God's chosen country, his chosen people. Which brings us to the Middle East situation.
If we do not support Israel, we do not support God's chosen people. That is why I think we as a nation must support Israel against the Palestinian leadership. The so-called Palestinians (remember, Palestine is not a real State, and never has been) do not want to live side by side with Israel, they want the total destruction of Israel so they can have all the land to themselves.
To support them, or to simply not support Israel, means going against God's chosen people, and thus going against God. That is not something I would deem wise. Going against God is never good. Just ask Satan. He will never again know the splendor of Heaven thanks to his disobedience to God. Instead, he gets to be eternally tormented in the lake of burning sulphur (Rev. 20:10)
So, basically, I am saying that it behooves us to support Israel. I like to say that I am on God's side. And I can only be on God's side on this if I support Israel.

Almighty God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, bless you now and forever.

Amen.

OK, now that the sermon is done, I'm going to hook another computer up and test it. I've been having some troubles with a site, and if it freezes the other computer too, I'll know it's the cable connection. If not, my computer has something wrong with it.
Good day all.

This generation can't spell worth a damn. It even drives me nuts with my own kids. Spell check isn't just a luxury..it's a NECESSITY!

Just got this I am e mail from a friend in D.C.

"The National Security Agency, which eavesdrops on communications worldwide, intercepted messages that said "tomorrow is zero hour" and "the match begins tomorrow," sources said on condition of anonymity.'
http://dailynews.yahoo.com/fc/US/Terrorism/

Ok ok so they got the message on 9/10 and did not decode it until 9/12. *However the statements don't imply that the world trade center the Pennatagon and the White House were targets. Its states that it is the Zero Hour. However what Zero hour meant on 9/10 or before is still a unknown. Its too easy to say after Sept 11th that Zeo Hour meant the attack no one coule have imagined what happened did. This is once again the dems trying to attack Bush.

The chairpersons of the Congressional Intelligence Committee have just held a news conference. Apparently there have been leaks of classified material to the press. Now tell me which of you is surprised by this? http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/doh.gif

Anyway, Cheney apparently read them the riot act this morning and they have now asked the Attorney General to investigate and discover which member(s) leaked. IMHO, said member should be charged with treason and executed when they are discovered. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

Israel is considering taking CNN off the air there. Sounds reasonable to me.

Palestinian terrorists are shooting up an Israeli settlement, 4 people have been killed.

And Russell Yates.....sigh.....t his man just disgusts me. He held a news conference because this is the first anniversary of his wife murdering his kids. He spent most of it blaming the police, the prosecutors, and the courts for his wife's predicament. His family has not been able to grieve properly because they locked up Andrea.

There is a state Bar exam for each state The District Puerto Rico The Virgin Islands and other us Terr. I took the multi state Bar which allows you to pratice in a number of states depending on how good you do.

There is also the state to state agreement in which if you take the bar in Minn and pass it you can pratice in Illinois.

The work I was doing in DC at the time did not invole lawyering so I did not need to take the DC Bar. I currently can pratice in Il, and most of the mid west. I can also pratice in DC. One day I do want to take the Ca bar.

Note I did not use some of the correct terms since I forget what they are called opps

Greetings from http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/flag29.gif

It's taking longer and longer to read the posts in here! *Isn't that great? *Getting busy! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/elefant.gif *But it's a nice "busy"!http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/elefant.gif

Futons! *Well, we could just line them all up, take everything out of the shed and have an 8 x 12 foot bed! Every one could just http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/chatter.gif all night! YIKES!! *What in the world are we having futons in my shed for anyway??? *I now forget!

Wow, today was H-O-T!!! Tomorrow it's supposed to be a bit cooler but today was certainly shorts and T shirt weather indeed.

I took an elderly friend of mine to St. Jacob's, a village near here, for lunch and to look around the shops while a home help nurse looked after her ailing husband for a few hours. She has a difficult life and every other week, she can get away and have a bit of fun for a few hours.

On the way home, I saw black smoke rising in the air and thought that some silly farmer was burning trash and the closer I got to it, the larger the spiral of smoke became and then I realized it was a house fire!

What a catastrophe! It was a huge house just north of the city limits of Guelph and I got there about 10 past 3 before the fire trucks but just after two ambulances. I stayed to watch and was just amazed at the job these firemen have. My minds went back to Sept. 11 and the many who lost their lives doing their job. A wall collapsed on one of them today and I watched as others went and pulled him out successfully.

What a sad time. The owner of the house is one of the more prominent Real Estate salesmen in our city and I saw the daughter talking to him on a cell phone to tell him that the house was engulfed by flames.

As I left the scene, my thoughts and prayers were for this family who now have nothing. Certainly all of their appliances, bed, furniture can be replaced but not the family heirlooms and photos and letters.

What a sad ending to the afternoon for me.

I had this sent to me in an email today. *God Bless America (http://www.saintsandheroes. com/GodBlessAmerica)

Terri, that little girl from Milwaukee has been missing and still is, for seven weeks now. *She and her family were the focus of Aaron Brown on CNN last evening.

Aberfoyle, sorry about your neighbors house. It is always sad when people lose thier ultimate sanctuary, the comfort and possessions/memories of their own home.

I just got back from my monthly Republican Executive Committee meeting, which I got to run for a change. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/28.gif
The Chairman is on vacation, so the Vice Chair was in charge, thank you very much. We had 6 Republican school Board members, for 4 different school districts (although all are elected countywide). Since I put the program together, I only invited the Republican candidates, even though the race is technically non-partisan (as if that would make me invite anyone who wasn't Republican) :turquoiserolleyes: It was a great forum, and there were good questions from the audience. Had about 100 people or so, including candidates. Remember, we are talking 41 of 42 elected officials in my county are Republican, and our county is the most-organized and best run of all the RECs among the 67 counties in Florida. The state chairman even told us so. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif You will be happy to know that I put in a plug for GOPUSA. I find that actually many people are already subscribed here, or at least visit the website often, but there are still almost none who make their way here to the Forum. (pause for a sip) http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

RIM, when we going fishing? If you have crawdads and minnows in your swale, we are all set. I will bring the rods and tackle. What happened? Did Little Charlie Creek overflow, or are you actually that close to the Peace? Inquiring minds want to know (BTW, I probably do have a rod for the hubby, too) http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Well, off to read the threads while I can still type clearly (from being tired, not from the margarita. What were you people thinking??)

Hi Everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't been around more today but we've been working on the setup for the new software much of the day.

Tonight I received e-mail from a member of our site who doesn't post very often. He lives in Arizona and is letting us know about some bad fires there. They have one near Heber that is 75,000 acres and growing. A man named Lewis, the leading candidate for the new Arizona 1st Congressional District, instead of campaigning he's trying to save his home! Apparently this fire was set by a person lost in the woods who set a fire as a signal so they could be found. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif *Apparently Colorado doesn't have the corner on nutty people.

Our fire has grown to 135,000 acres but the rate of growth was slowed by the cooler weather and a little rain. 95 structures have burned now. There are some scattered showers tonight.

I had a good laugh reading all your repartee through the afternoon. Doesn't look to me like that FLguy stands a chance with all these gals keeping him straight. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif

Gotta tell you all that I don't want to see one flea left on this dirt floor! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smash.gif
