Here it is late at night and I sit in front of my screen, listening to Chopin's Nocturne ... ahhh I wind down from a long day ... beautiful piano music softly playing ... all is good.
Good night everyone, have a nice day tomorrow. I'll be asleep when you are rushing around on your Saturday pursuits.

HI Terri and Aknauta...Happy Saturday!
Here's the latest news I've heard....it falls under the "CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?".....
Eleven ILlegals died trying to cross over the Arizona desert into the US. *Now their families are suing the US because we didn't have "watering" stations for them which contributed to their deaths! * I KID YOU NOT!!!!!! *The attorney was on O'Reilly last night and O'Reilly said that if he had anything to do with it...he'd put up the watering stations because no one should have to live (or die) like that! *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/teeth2.gif http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/angry.gif *It was at this point that I said "I just may not EVER listen to O'Reilly again". *I've heard alot of people complaining about how he's gotten so pompous and full of himself. *I'd now have to agree that he's certainly lost touch with reality. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/angry.gif
ABERFOYLE....I wondered about that Weight Watchers ONLINE too, so I went hunting and found it here: *http://www.weightwatchers.c om/adgate/default.asp *I've never done WW because I don't care for their "weigh ins" and "counseling", so maybe this is a good alternative to that. *I'm on Seattle Sutton's diet and have lost 10 pounds. *IMO, it's a MUCH easier and pleasant diet. *All the food is fresh and really, it's VERY VERY good. *I would highly recommend it if it's in your area. *I am going to check this WW Online though....it sounds interesting.
I'll check back in later. *I'm hoping to get outside and finish up some weeding before it rains again. *Yesterday was beautiful here and I spent almost the whole afternoon in the "weeder's crouch". *I'm paying BIG TIME for it today. *My back is screaming "ENOUGH ALREADY"! *LOL

OH ABERFOYLE...one more thing.....
I watched the Senators v. Maple Leafs game last night. *I was so outraged at that non-call with two minutes left when that idiot back slammed the guy into the wall. *Toronto has EVERY RIGHT, in fact IMO a responsibility, to be screaming about the HORRIBLE refereeing in this series. *That Alfredsson goal was directly attributable to the referees being completely blind, deaf and dumb. *I hope the "powers that be" review that whole play and nail the referees by the seat of their pants to the Jumbotron in the stadium. *No excuse, whatsoever.......

Morning guys. Saber, I saw that article, too, about the illegals suing over not having water left in the desert. What a lot of idiocy!
WW online is actually pretty cool. I'd done weight watchers before, years ago, but hated the meetings (I don't need a lot of feel good stuff or nutrition education). About 7 years ago I lost 20 pounds using a software program that kept track of what I was eating, the calories, and the proportions of carbs to fat to protien. It was great for me because I was really keeping track, but I didn't have to do a lot of calculation. I haven't been able to get the program to work again, so I checked out WW Online. It's พ/month, and you don't have to attend the meetings. It uses a journal program so you can keep track of what you're eating. I find that it's easiest for me if I log in frequently to enter what I've eaten. There are other sites that offer similar programs without the cost, but I didn't find that they worked as well. Fitday.com is one.

Good Morning http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sunflower.gif Terri, Aknauta & http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/gopusa.gif
Terri ~ I decided on the MVC-2000 for two reasons, "money & money". http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif *It only has 6x zoom but was a lot cheaper than the next model up. *And for what I do (play around and take "fuzzy" pictures) http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I figured it would do me. *The mini disk is great. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif
Aknauta ~ Chopin is my "all time fav" classical guy. *My childhood dream was to be able to play Polonaise in A flat major. *Har! Har! *I did finally master the "Minute Waltz". http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif *Seriously, I must have every record, tape, and CD of Chopin music. *Mozart is great too. *Then there is Strauss ~ his music has such a calming effect. *Sometimes I pop a CD into the computer and listen while I'm posting ~ I'm listening to "The Blue Danube" right now. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/nopityA.gif
I'll be a little scarce today ~ lots of "domestic engineering" :turquoiserolleyes: to catch up on and have to help Mr. Rim install a new AC unit in the bedroom. *I'm what the construction workers refer to as "the dead man". http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif *I've been doin' it for many years.
Have a great day all!

Did you fish yesterday?
Saber, I guess I've come to the point where I can believe anything. Why don't we just send a fleet of limousines to the border to pick them up? :turquoiserolleyes: I've been listening less to O'Reilley lately. I'm tired of his agendas. So far, I've heard 2 minutes of his radio show. It's on here at 9pm and by then I'm ready for soothing music.
Sue Elise, I'm going to check out the online Weight Watchers too. I didn't realize they had it. We will be a bunch of sleek chicks if we all join up, or is that sleek conservababes? :o *
Aberfoyle, I'm not sure what's with the NHL refs these days. There have been some horrendous calls in the Avalanche games too and not all of them went against us. We are 2/2 now with the Sharks and play at home this afternoon. I know the game moves fast but if it's directly in front of them you have to wonder if their eyes are open! http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smash.gif
RIM, the camera you bought is an excellent camera. I'm always moaning about zooms because I like to take photos of wildlife which seldom turn out. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif I know about the "dead man". I've been playing that role all my life, first with my father and since with hubby. Get this, fetch that, hold this, etc. etc. etc. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif *Guess it's all right though, we accomplished a lot of things.
Classical is really nice. I like my CDs that also incorporate sounds of nature with classical. Music is essential.
Speaking of which, all the country music lovers should check out the thread Angelus started in Rants. Hope this one goes on and on. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Forsberg should be playing. He's the one making the difference for us although some of the younger guys are coming on well in the playoffs too. Roy has had some bad games and some awesome games. There is no better goalie when he's on.
I found part of the Fox story on Debka and posted it in War on Terror.

Well, it's only 10 a.m. and already we're on page two of the Precinct! NEATO!!! I'm about to jump into the shower and then run to the store for a few things before I'm picked up to be taken to my daughter's house for Mother's Day. She's about an hour and 15 minutes away. She used to live in Thunder Bay which was 20 hours drive if you didn't stop for the night and so this is such a treat to have her closer now.
Sue Elise, that is so neat to have Weight Watcher's online. I have the point counter already from my last stint with WW when I did very well but I just can't stand the meetings.
Yes, Saber, that was a nail biter game. I was talking to Terri at the time on IM and I was doing my running job here back and forth to the TV and the Computer and what a disappointment when that call wasn't called that should have been. Then I have to tell myself, "Settle down, this is just hockey!"
RIM, don't work too hard today.
Aknauta, I like Chopin too. One of my favorites is Chopin although I love Grieg as well. Seems my husband was in some way related to Grieg and so we have a lot of his works here.
Must go get some w--k done around here.

Hi Terri, no fishing up here yet. The rivers just broke up and there are still ice flows coming downstream plus the rivers are all bank-to-bank high and muddy, bad time for fishing. Real fishing won't start till June up here and then doesn't get real good until Aug-Sept.

lpara, I have a suggestion for you to try. IT is contemporary symphonic works. One is "The Divine Comedy" by Robert W. Smith (4 movements to is), and other is "Into the Storm" by the same composer. Also, check out "Invictus" and "Summer Dances" by Brian Balmages. These songs are really good if you want some power symphonic works. They don't fit the classical genre simply because of the fact the composers are living (and some of the chord structures are more Romantic period influenced, too).

Glad you liked it. I'm not sure how well you'll be able to find Brian Balmages. He is new (he's about 23 years old or so) and only has a few songs composed. But, we played some last year at Morehead, so that's how I know him. I do know that you can find him on Audiogalaxy (there appear to be no copyright restrictions by him or anything, so long as you don't call it your own composition).

And no, she won't find out on here, she does well to turn on a computer, so I doubt she'll find her way into this site. But if she does ever figure it out (I have taught her 20 times how to use the Internet, and it's slowly sinking in), I'll be sure to have her sign up.

Angelus--I'll be the first to say thanks for the MD wishes--I found Brian Balmages on a website--www.fjhmusic.com (I just typed in Brian Balmages in Google) and this website has all his albums and a way to hear them. *He looks like a nice clean-cut guy.

The news has been really slow today. That's OK, we needed to talk about other things for a change. I'm sure it will be fast and furious again very soon. :turquoiserolleyes:
