How's everyone doing this fine day?
We want to welcome our guests. We hope you will register and become a part of the forum. We love to meet new folks and hear what you are thinking about politics and the news. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Yesterday the FBI issued a terror warning for large malls and supermarkets. I've thought anywhere that people gather was a risk for a long time. Life goes on though. I'm not sure there is anyway we can even be cautious about such places so I will just go where I normally go. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/red_eyes.gif
Just a word of caution here. The virus e-mails are flying thick and fast. I got 4 of them last night so be sure that you keep your virus checkers updated. Norton's had new updates yesterday and the day before.

Good Morning Everyone!
Yes, Terri, good idea to remind people about their virus checkers! *I got three the night before last!
Three of our four soldiers are now laid to rest. *Yesterday the third took place. Today the last one is about to start.
Here's a link to the Sgt.'s funeral report...

Dan Richardson! *Welcome to http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/gopusa.gif We hope to see you posting soon. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
There is movement in the Nativity Church standoff. Eight teenagers from inside the church have come out and been taken into custody by Israeli troops. Bodies have also been removed.
There is a Senate vote today on Federal control of land rights. It is a bill to mandate land use zoning by the federal government. This bill was stymied two weeks ago and it's being brought up again in the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. Here's the number of the bill. Senate bill 975 - S. 975
Aberfoyle, the funerals are so sad. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif We've seen several of our televised here. Michael Spann, the CIA agent, is one that comes to mind. War has a terrible price.

WOW! I hadn't heard about the malls and supermarkets Terri! Good thing I went to the grocery on Monday so I won't have to go again for another couple of days! AND..I avoid the mall here like the plague. It's one of the biggest in the country...and a TOTAL pain in the rump. I'm a resale/bargain shopper at heart. I could get an attack of some sort just looking at the prices at the mall!
Hope everyone is doing well today. I'm having a bunch of plumbing work done today so I'll be in and out. MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!

Morning Saber! Trouble is that I doubt this alert is just for a few days. Anything could happen anywhere, anytime. I'm just going to do what I do and I refuse to worry about it. You are right, there are plenty of reasons to avoid the mall on the best of days. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *Good luck with the plumber!
Lots going on today, want to talk about the Saudi leader's visit to the ranch today? There's a thread in Current News.
A story about what college students are NOT learning is posted in Family.
Daschle has agreed to allow debate and a vote on the Death Tax in Congress. :turquoiserolleyes:

That really was a funny post by Aknauta. *Tomorrow I'm going to a big Southern Women's Show in our capital city.:o Hope all will be well there and everywhere. *It is sad about the funerals. *I read the news about the college students too! *Sadder than sad! *I would have flunked the punk rock question--thank the Lord! *Hope the Colorado fires will get put out Terri--it was on my radio even here in the boonies. *I pray the firefighters will all be safe and homes will be saved also. That is also something about the special forces going to Afghanistan to "smoke" out the caves! *Hope they can smoke them all! *

jap! Welcome to GOPUSA!! Congratulations on your first post in Feedback! Hope to see you again soon.
Hi lpara! The fires have doubled their area today and 1000 homes have been evacuated including one entire town. So far none have been lost and no lives have been lost. Thank you for praying for everyone here. The photos in the papers are very scary. This particular area has had two other huge fires in the last few years that did involve loss of homes. Link to fire news. (http://www.rockymountainnew s.com/drmn/state/article/0,1299,DRMN_21_11089 00,00.html)
It seems the Cardinals have backed off their first position of yesterday and now want to give their priests a second chance. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif This is a huge mistake. It destroys any credibility they might have obtained with their one strike policy.

I agree Terri. It first sounded yesterday that the Catholic Church was on the right path.....now it appears they are going to PC themselves to death. There is nothing at all hard about this decision. It's so black and white it's pathetic...yet the Church seems to now want to find the grey fringes and IMO this nonsense they are spewing now is nothing short of ridiculous. I feel very very sorry for those Catholics who feel as I do and have to watch as they are told by those they look up to for moral authority that a sin is not a sin.
