I think those judges need to be recalled. It is utter and complete stupidity. What the constitution states is that, congress shall make no law in regard to church and state. It talks about a state church.
For example if President Bush made the Church of W and made everyone in America go it would be unconstitutional.
However reciting the pledge and stating one nation under god how can that be unconstitutional.
Most religions have a god or a higher being. I remember reciting the Pledge in grade school in the late 70's and early 80's it was part of the day, everyone had a high respect for the pledge because our caretakers (parents or legal guardians) instilled these values in is. Ok ok I know I am preaching to the choir however I am a little angry.

What the USSC has stated in which *is that at an school function I can't say Jesus saved me from drugs Jesus did this Jesus did that (using Jesus as an example no disrespect) The hight court if I recall never stated the use of god they clarified the use of using a term of what someone calls God would offend another person who does not beleive in that god.
This court is way out in leftfield way way out there. The jumps these judges make are not even in the course or the direction of the USSC. I believe that this case will be appealed and overulled by the USSC.

Thanks for the kind words - its nice to hear, even when you have never seen the person. The statement that they were elderly made me laugh, I'm almost 70 and the wife is 74 - your statement made me feel as if I was supposed to be younger. After my post this morning I had to call the rescue squad to take the wife to the hospital - chest pains. They checked her heart but said she needs to be placed in a nursing home. My problem is that it cost $4000.00 a month and medicare only pays for 20 days. With my retirement income I couldn't even pay for her much less the house or groceries. I'm sure we will figure out something. For all of you that are younger take out a long term care policy. When they started offering these policies about 5 or 6 years ago I tried to get one but was turned down by every company due to the wife being a diabetic. Hope all of you have a great day and a little prayer might help.

Well, if Arthur Anderson wasn't done for before, they sure as heck are now. They were immediately tied in with WorldCom. It is amazing the stock market recovered today from how low it dipped (to coming all the way back up to within 7 points), but I haven't heard why it recovered.
