Hello Everyone!

It looks as though it will be a big news day. Of course the big story is the horrific bus bombing in Israel. The death toll is at 18 now and going up. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif

As the story continues to come out there is some indication that the EPA submitted the Global Warming report to the United Nations without the approval of the White House. :o

A good friend that works of ABC TV stated to me last night that a new comedy show will replace NightLine. ABC CEO Michael Eisner, is quoted as saying that, "This show is good for America, eveyone in America loves these guys and will love them even more once in this show." Drew Carey creator of "Who's Line Is It" stated," The show and the network are stupid for creating this type of show in this climate." Network soucres wont release the shows title or character. But they will release the title of the chacters on the show as following.

Good morning. On the lighter side, a Detroit newspaper, the other day, had a headline saying "Aunt Bea and Opie meet Hockey town". Seems that they forgot that Andy and Gomer would also come along. Canes 1, Red Wings 0. Go Canes. They may not win the whole thing but they sure got off to a good start.

Any suggestion that Sharon and the Israeli's might have caused the death of other Israili's to make Arafat look bad is a rather outlandish statement. Fats suicide bombers do enough to make themselves look bad. Arafat is, was and always has been a terrorist. He got kicked out of Syria and Lebanon - even his own kind don't want him around. He may not have been personally responsible for this latest action be he spawned the whole entifata and now condemns it because he has lost control of the mutts and is afraid of what may happen to himself.

A plane has made an unscheduled landing at Boston because of an unruly passenger. Apparently it was escorted in by fighters. Not many details from Fox so far.

Good Morning All. I would reiterate Terri's comments that if anyone has primary results to report, to please post them or a link on Campaigns, Issues, and Strategies. My local paper had no results on those races.

Der Alte, very good response to the outlandish suggestion.:yelclap: If for one second any Israeli thought Sharon ever had anything to do with any terrorism against Israelis, he would have already been a dead man. As D Alte said, Arafat, the Intafada, whomever, apparently needs no help (other than perhaps outside financing from Al Quaeda or worse).

Aberfoyle, regarding fires, the US still has plenty here, too, with more to come (judging from drought just about everywhere). CO, UT, NM, NV, & AZ seem to be the worse hit so far, but the East Coast is likely to catch up too, unfortunately.
If the US were as eager to condemn Arafat and the current Palestinian government as much as they try to keep the fire burning on the Hussein issue, then neither us nor the Israelis would have to hold back at all. I heard an interview this morning of Powell, who had little to say about the Israeli/Palestinian issue, but a whole lot to say (and imfer, mostly) about action in Iraq. Is the situation currently in Israel any more tolerable? We must remember that it was Powell that once said that the Mideast conflict cannot be resolved without keeping Arafat as the leader and a major party to settlement of the crisis (and was much more complimentary to him than the president, Rumsfeld, or Rice was). Ok, going to go catch up in the other threads now. BBL

So I am out and about checking out the news of the day, and come across the story about Nick News, and how they are going to address gay issues!!! UMMM hello does this not bother anyone else? This is a childrens network for god sake! Are our children not safe watching a cartoon network? Needless to say this has my blood bopiling already this morning!

Bush has stated his opposition to the Kyoto treaty, stating... "The Kyoto treaty would severely damage the United States economy, and I don't accept that."

The gay agenda of pushing that lifestyle down the troats of children will never stop until the second coming of Christ, in my opinion. Of course, we will continue to fight the good fight, but they will continue trying to teach our kids that homosexuality is not only normal, but preferred over hetersexuality.

Even to those who believe in no God, this should make no sense. Most people DO believe in nature, which they have seen every day. So, if it were "natural" to be homosexual, then a man could sleep with a man and they would produce offspring. Likewise, a woman could sleep with a woman and could produce offspring. But, it doesn't happen, because God (or nature to those who believe in no God) wanted one man and one woman to lie together to produce offspring.
Adam and Eve were created. Not Adam and Steve.

Now, I don't believe in hiding from the gay issues, but I do think that parents should decide when their child is ready, not a school or a TV network.

Now, on a different note, good morning http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/gopusa.gif!! I have a piano lesson today (It's been a while since I've seriously practiced, so I need to build back up before school starts!)

I am going to start a walking regimen every night in my effort to fight the demon known as weight gain. I'd like to fit into my tuxedo when my friend's wedding comes up. I still do, but I'd like to make it a better fit.

Well, I'm off to other forums to see if I have an opinion on anything new. Oh, and I do not believe for one second that Sharon is behind the bombings. Arafat is either behind them, or too powerless to stop them. Either way, he's got to get to steppin'!

I'm sick and tired of hearing about the gay agenda to recruit more kids. It is never ending because the news media is supporting and encouraging it. So is Hollowood.

The idea that a leader of a modern western style democracy like Israel would kill his own people to create hatred toward a foe is absurd.
Of course to a terrorist like Arafat, it is perfectly reasonable because this is exactly what he would do. The Islamic world is ruled by primitive rulers with the instinct of wild animals.

I just watched Greta baby on Fox doing a shot from the crime scene in DC where they found Chandra's skull, etc. After everything had been cordoned off with police tape and all evidence gathered, etc.......she's now there and finds all kinds of stuff! LIKE...women's hosery, a condom wrapper(!), some rope......

NOW....may I ask? Is there ANYONE!!!!!!!!! ANYONE at all who is competent anymore? I'm not even kidding. The incompetence in my locale....all the way up through police departments.....righ t on up to the highest levels of government. It's incredible....absolu tely incredible.

I can't even think of responding to all the gay "mess" going on in this country right now. I'm too wound up with all the other crudola swirling around. However, I DID read an article today about three (I think) schools in the US...LA, NY...where they have special GAY AND LESBIAN schools...only for the oppressed homos who have been flogged by their peers. God help us...literally. Pretty soon maybe we should all be demanding special schools for those of us who were too skinny or too fat or had buck teeth or weren't good at dodgeball or........and got teased unmercifully. Hell, it's the same thing!

I've turned off the news this afternoon so thanks for the update on arafat starting to feel some more heat. I can hope the heat turns into a raging fire right under his filthy feet and turns him into a chicken nugget.

Israel used to operate more covertly. If they really wanted to take out Arafat, they could have many times over, and done it in a way that nobody could prove it was the government. Personally, I think they are worried about who would take over for Arafat, as he has lost credibility pretty much with his own people, too. However, if he can hear gunfire, who knows? Let me jump in -- a little late in the day, perhaps -- but maybe some of you are still in the "read" mode. Are you as weary as I am of hearing and reading what a loving and peaceful religion Islam actually is. Thomas Friedman had a good article in the Austin UnAmerican Statesman today which explains the differences in this complex religion. I don't mean to offend any Americans about this issue, but so far, we are not seeing the loving, peaceful side of those who are making the news. So what, if they get stopped when boarding a plane? If they have a Middle Eastern name and appearance and they "spook" another passenger, I want them OFF! *Well, maybe I'm just getting grouchy because it's my beddy-bye time!
