Painting, hung in Capitol Hill display by Democrat Rep. William Lacy Clay, St. Louis.

A high school student’s painting that portrays the events in Ferguson, Missouri, is back on the wall on Capitol Hill.

Democratic congressman William Lacy Clay rehung the painting on Tuesday after a Republican lawmaker had removed it because he found it offensive. The painting depicts a pig in a police uniform aiming a gun at a protester among several images.

Clay said returning the painting was about defending the Constitution. The Missouri congressman said it is “pathetic” that some Republicans constantly refer to themselves as constitutional conservatives, but don’t think the same document protects the free speech rights of his 18-year-old constituent.

David Pulphus won an annual arts competition in Clay’s congressional district. His picture portrays events in Ferguson, Missouri, after the shooting of an unarmed teenager set off protests.

California Rep. Duncan Hunter removed the painting last Friday and says GOP leaders will seek its permanent removal by the House architect.

They still seem to be living the lie perpetrated by the media with the ‘hands up don’t shoot’ ****. Its about time that this stuff is removed from Congress and quit giving this made up racism time.

As a body you have more important things to do like why are blacks killing blacks in Chicago and that is not the police. Rebuilding your families and quit believing the Democrat party is there to help you. That is the biggest myth of all.

Nobody’s First Amendment rights have been infringed. The “artist” has the right to paint whatever he wishes. The real question is whether it’s appropriate to display the painting in the Capitol. Clearly, the answer is “NO!”

It’s unequivocally clear to all but these pinheads, exactly what’s going on here. They, of course, can not view themselves as racists, hypocrites, crass, venal, and feckless opportunists, because, as we’re told over and over by both the Lefty-Loonies and the professional Black race-baiters, that only Whites are, or can be, racists. That simplistic and ridiculous accusation is belied by thousands of years of history…of which they’re oblivious, or intentionally ignorant. If any of their actions reflected their pathetic rhetoric that continually beats a dead horse, why then the entire house of cards built with fantastical claims of inequality, absence of opportunity, institutional oppression, and on and on, would instantly collapse and these diseased “victims” would have nothing to offer their all too often similarly ignorant and gullible constituents willing to accept anything, however wrong and silly, if it results in maintaining the flow of what they see as compensatory goodies from Uncle Sugar. Sooner or later, the ugly, out of control gravy train must be derailed.

When a certain category of blacks scream brutality, its a self fulfilling prophesy. For, the very things they do in protest? Incites a reaction they protest against! Ironically bringing on themselves the very reason they claim they have the right to incite in protesting. They bring it on themselves by claiming they do not have to grow up and mature, and that there is nothing wrong with belligerence and arrogance as a means to negotiate through life….. Its like Muslims who demand you surrender to Allah or lose your head. And, then threaten to kill you if you say anything wrong with Mohammad. Bully blacks have found a voice. Just like those with murder lust have found their religion in Islam.

    The new morality:
    1. If an atheist is offended by a cross or Scripture passage, take it down.
    2. If a black is offended by a Confederate flag, take it down and ban all such flags.
    BUT…
    3. If a Christian is offended by a crucifix in a jar of urine, or if a law-abiding citizen (of any color) is offended by a portrayal of police as pigs and a thug as a crucified Christ, the person who’s offended is called names and the offensive object is rehung and all but worshiped.

What would the Black Caucus, NAACP, ACLU, Don Lemon, NYT, CNN, Hollyweird, and other leftist Democrats and groups do if a Republican Congressman, hung a painting by a white high school student drew a cartoon of black hogs, all different sizes gouging themselves at a trough with a sign on the side of it “Taxpayer paid benefits”?

Would there be a hewing cry? Would there be boycotts, protests, and legislation offered to kick the Congressman out of the House? The “reverends” Jackson and Sharpton would hold rallies across America and end up on the steps of the Capitol Building?

Racist is racist, even if a black high school student paints or draws it.

the liberal constitutional twist is entertaining–the constituent has the right of free speech. there is no right of having her art hanging anywhere in the capital complex. per liberals, anything that anyone finds offensive is supposed to be purged, regardless of logic. if the representative finds the art so compelling, let him hang it in his office. that should satisfy all parties. no need for such a depiction at a security checkpoint. . .it creates a hostile work environment for security staff and all who pass. isn’t a hostile work environment a litigable charge? perhaps they should sue the congressional black caucus as a group and all of the associated individuals personally. that should put the kibosh on such nonsense. . .

Just because someone has a right to do something, doesn’t mean that it’s right to do that something. Because you have the freedom of speech, doesn’t mean I have to provide you with a microphone and a lecture hall. How does championing another divisive issue promote the general welfare of your constituents or the country Mr. Clay? Is it just your way to give the finger to the police and score points with the Black Lives Matter cabal?

Divisiveness should be stopped, but so many cling to the notion that rights are all about denunciations and slander; it’s not. Political wrongdoing is correctly a target for denunciations, but slander is not, because it hides hatred disguised as popular acceptance. That’s not diversity, that’s pure divisive.

Throughout history art had been used to misrepresent real events, pharoahs, emperors, dictators kihe Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Fidel. In this case a lie became the standard belief, the belief became the legend, and the legend became the iconography of racism. In this case the Black Caucus is promoting the lie, I wonder what The Capitol Police think each time they pass this object they are supposed to be keeping from being damaged by an irate visitor. Perpetuating the racist lne will never lead to better relations, it seems they are heading back to the days before Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. worked to tear down the walls that are being newly built!

It’s funny how this sorry excuse for a representative falls back on the Constitution when it involves black offensives. If it had been a white oriented depiction, he would have been all over it inciting racism. He is a racist, not a supporter of the Constitution. The very name “Congressional Black Caucus” is racist. I wonder what would happen if we started a “Congressional White Caucus”? The media would be all over it! Blacks can be offended, yet whites are not allowed to be offended. Also, this guy and his ilk support the lie that white cops target innocent black people. What a despicable creature! Everyone, regardless of race, should find this piece of garbage so-called art offensive.

What a wonderful example being set by our representatives. This is the result of
a thug who strong armed robbery of a convenience store , who was shot after trying to take the weapon of a police officer. Resulting in protest, burning of peoples businesses , etc, we all know the Ferguson effect.
So the “Black Congressional Delegation” hangs the “art work” back. How tribal is this ?

So lets move forward a year and a John Q Smith high school student decides to paint
a picture of a black fellow hanging from a tree, with cross burning near by.
Oh and this is “art expression ” and he wins the contest and it is going to be hung in the Capital as well. Really , it would never happen people have much more respect for fellow Americans. Oh and guess what there is not a “White Congressional Delegation” that would insist on hanging the “art work”. In fact the “Black Congressional Delegation’ would be blocking all attempts to hang the painting. It would be racial you know. What a pathetic example of leadership we have from the “BCD” they handed down to their children. The Democrats they love so much were the
ones at the school house door keeping children of color out of schools, back of the bus, etc. What a trick they pulled on all those people in the re education years.

The issue of the painting aside (I expressed my opinion of that on the first thread that dealt with the story) the Congressional Black Caucus is nothing but a putrid, racist, self-serving, political lobby inside of congress, whose existence is for the purpose of attaining political power for liberal blacks. The key word there is “liberal”.

You’ll notice that Tim Scott, Senator from South Carolina, is not a member. He chose not to join, and his decision speaks very well of him.

The Congressional Black Caucus is nothing more than a corrupt, black version, of the KKK, and they make me want to puke.

If some white Senator decided to form a Congressional White Caucus and its platform was to promote conservative issues, the liberals would be screaming racist at the top of their lungs….while fully supporting the liberal, Congressional Black Caucus.

Just one of dozens of reasons why I despise liberalism with every fiber of my being.

People of Clay’s like are the first to scream if the Ten Commandments are displayed on a public building, or jump to the support of a Muslim or illegal alien who says our Flag is a symbol of imperialism and aggression and demands its removal from classrooms. It’s absolutely mind boggling that a member of the United States Congress could be so disgustingly ignorant as to actually defend the display of such a vile, abhorrent piece of trash in the halls of our main government building. To defend it as “freedom of speech” is a crowning insult not only to the police, but even more so to the Constitution of the United States.
