A Hero Cries Out for His Country

There has been a rumble echoing across this great land in recent months... and its volume is increasing. What started out as commentary on some of the cable news shows, the Fox News Channel and in particular the O'Reilly Factor, has now gained a powerful voice from an elderly American hero.

Guy Gabaldon, Marine, nominee for the Medal of Honor, holder of the Navy Cross and the man who single handily captured more than 1,500 of the enemy on the Japanese held island of Saipan has joined the battle. He is now warring against those who would destroy our country from within.

Guy Gabaldon, who as a street kid and was cared for by a Japanese-American family grew up to become a true hero during World War II. Though this young man of Hispanic decent was small in stature, he was also fearless. In addition, his ability to speak Japanese placed him in an Intelligence unit from which he was allowed to independently move behind enemy lines. During the battle for Saipan he continuously moved secretly inside Japanese defenses and through his speaking ability was able to negotiate the surrender of more than 1,500 Japanese by the end of the campaign.

Though he was severely wounded in this battle, Guy Gabaldon still survived and was nominated for the Medal of Honor by his commanding officer. Though that medal has yet to be awarded, he did first receive the Silver Star and later was awarded the Navy Cross, our nation's second highest medal for heroism.

Now a senior citizen with fragile health, he remains mentally tough and as ready to fight as any Marine. Today, however, Guy Gabaldon is fighting a war of ideas. His greatest fear, in his own words is "America stands today on the brink of extinction as a Christian nation. This degradation, this fall from the strongest and most moral nation, to the bottom of a cesspool, did not happen by accident."

Gabaldon charges we have played right into the hands of leftist liberals and the American Civil Liberties Union. "Liberals are the world's best strategists and psychologists", he says. "They are geniuses in the art of brainwashing and they knew that to conquer America they would first have to pervert its youth. They have accomplished that objective with the use of pornography, drugs, abortion, free sex and control of our public schools where they inoculate the children with atheism and immorality."

Gabaldon contends that a nation is only as strong as the family unit. He says, "close family ties are what made America great. Its decline coincides with the disintegration of this family unit. The survival of civilization depends on a strong and moral family life. The traditional Christian family is the very foundation of our civilization. It is the center of love and the source of our moral teaching. It is in the family life that morals are imbedded in our very souls."

All of this has been severely damaged, in his belief, by the ACLU, which has at its core a leftist leadership and nefarious attorneys dedicated to undermining our Christian way of life.

Gabaldon also contends we would not carry the huge national debt we have today, had we remained a strong nation rooted in Christianity. The welfare system we have today didn't exist when the country had strong Christian family ties. "We took care of our own", he says, "and we did it with dignity and love. We cared for the elderly and gave them what they has given us as they brought us up."

Today he claims, "pornography, drug culture, the rejection of Christian morals and the family breakdown has made us the number one crime-ridden nation. This is not a record of which we can be proud. We are faced with two choices, dignity or slavery. It's that simple".

"In 1892", says Gabaldon, "the Supreme Court declared... 'This is a Christian Nation' and officially declared the motto of our nation to be 'In God We Trust'." As far as anyone knows, that is still the law of the land.

Gabaldon charges that although Christianity is our National heritage, the ACLU has brainwashed the public into believing that to be a Christian nation is unfair to non-Christian citizens. "What rotgut", he screams. "Israel is a Jewish nation, religiously and racially. The Arab nations are Islamic. China is atheist. If anyone were to demonstrate for Christian equality in those countries they would be fed to the lions".

The Christian majority is rapidly losing its crucial battle by default, claims Gabaldon. Most Americans, in their apathy, refuse to believe that an anti-Christ media, in tandem with a Christian hating ACLU are really on a dedicated mission to destroy this country. By promoting the liberal acceptance of everything from drugs to deviate sexual preferences, by convincing our children that belief in God is a sign of ignorance and superstition, they are rapidly advancing their cause... with the print media and television serving as willing partners.

The solution to this huge problem is simple according to this Marine hero. "All we need to do is return to Christian morals and defend our religious heritage. If we are strong in our beliefs no one can take away our love of God. Because of our apathy we allow an atheistic and traitorous organization such as the ACLU to daily gain ground in its war against our faith. We are losing by default.and we must reclaim our Christian America."
