Kevin Fobbs

Kevin Fobbs has more than 25 years of wide-ranging experience as a public relations consultant, business executive, government appointee, political advisor, writer, and national lecturer. His extensive business, civic, and international and national domestic program policy development, and political experience have culminated into a unique career and fits the bill perfectly for National Urban Policy Action Council. NuPac, as it's called for short, utilizes all his skills and background to promote fiscally responsible compassionate conservative public policies.

As both Second Vice Chairman of the Michigan Republican State Committee and President of National Urban Policy Action Council (NuPac), Kevin has led the way to common sense public policy solutions as it relates to our urban areas across the country.

NuPac is a civic and citizen action organization that focuses on community empowerment and promotes fiscally responsible compassionate conservative public policies, and stands firm on its theme of "Universal Issues and Colorblind Solutions." NuPac believes that the pathway to educational, economic, housing, or business freedom is through the philosophy that grassroots civic responsibility, educational preparedness, and free enterprise will strengthen our urban neighborhoods.

NuPac works with local, state, regional, and national urban leaders, communities of faith, collaborating with community and civic organizations. This dynamic organization helps to streamlines communications with government entities to ensure focused, solid solutions and funding to the programs, policies, and organization that work every day to improve people's lives.

Kevin is also Director for Government and Civic Affairs for Soul Source, a free monthly full-color Christian news magazine inserted in The Michigan Chronicle and distributed at major Christian events and select churches and businesses throughout S.E. Michigan. The magazine provides S.E. Michigan with Christian news, information and inspiration, and it features many motivational columns as well as news articles on health, wealth, family, education, purpose and destiny that will change lives for the better.

Soul Source editors understand that urban Christians are passionate about their faith and are active in their place of worship as well as in their community. The faith-based message that Soul Source delivers seeks to bridge all denominations and hopefully draw others to the powerful message of the gospel.

One other hat Kevin wears is Chairman of NuPac News and Views Network (NNVN) where Kevin and other officials at NNVN are developing a clarion voice in television and radio as well as new urban conservative communication organizations in the areas of news, faith, entertainment and principled ideals within local communities as well as other entertainment venues across the nation.

NNVN will work to craft messages that coalesce, organize, and promulgate conservative ideals within communication venues as well as create vehicles for conservative members of the secular entertainment and faith entertainment fields and partner on initiatives which highlight the countless armies of compassion who live in our nation's urban heartland and support these entertainers, radio and news commentators.

Kevin's insight, skills, and professional relationships that he has developed throughout his varied career have made him a valued counselor to government leaders in Michigan and Washington as well as corporate CEOs and senior management, public officials, government agencies, and the heads of professional, civic and community organizations and institutions. His diverse background has also equipped him to develop and implement far-reaching public education strategies, to devise and direct media relations programs and activities, and to deal effectively with matters tied to public opinion, especially in highly sensitive, controversial or potentially volatile situations.

Kevin has been in the forefront of communications initiatives; devised and implemented strategies to win political and public support for client issues and positions; directed electoral campaigns; and spearheaded as well as managed state and regional referendum and electoral initiatives.

Representative assignments have involved corporate acquisitions, health care regulatory issues and healthcare funding initiatives, local and state educational funding issues, labor disputes, political conflicts, environmental problems, international housing program initiatives in third-world and developing countries and other complex matters.

In addition to Kevin's responsibilities with the Michigan Republican Party, NuPac, NuPac News and Views Network, and Soul Source, Kevin writes a bi-monthly issues/policy column as Contributing Columnist for the Detroit News as well as serving as a National Political Columnist for the RNC.
