Book Review: How to Talk to a Liberal
By Michael Illions
November 23, 2004
How does one follow-up three NY Times Bestselling books that explain the ills and evils of liberals? Simple, you write a book that explains how to talk to liberals, if you must, of course. Ann Coulter fires back with yet another bestselling book; "How To Talk To A Liberal, (If You Must)."
On the heels of her last successful release, "Treason", Coulter does it again with style. As you read this book, you will go through a wide range of emotions as Coulter walks you through her life as a conservative columnist, article by article and topic by topic.
This book not only serves as a reminder and recap of historical events, written and presented as only Ann Coulter could, but also makes a great reference to past historical events. Remember the Elian Gonzalez saga? Coulter's past articles capture that event in detail oriented fashion, including some facts not known and others long forgotten.
Coulter chronicles her struggles to get her articles published in mainstream publications and in doing so, debunks the theory of a Right Wing Conspiracy by pointing out that the Right Wingers are to busy fighting each other over what little space there is available for their columns.
Relive the Florida recount of the 2000 election and read how Ms. Coulter counter-claimed every trick the Democrats came up with in their quest for "just one more" recount. Shed a tear at her touching tribute to Barbara Olsen, murdered on September 11th, 2001 and read about her fondness and admiration for her former boss, Democrat John F. Kennedy, JR., when she wrote for George magazine. You will be gasping for breath when you read Ann's column about the Washington dating scene. This book is as much a tear jerker as it is a side splitter.
NO ONE gets under the skins of liberals like Ann Coulter, who says exactly what the rest of us want to say, but don't. Ann's unique style is not dished out only to the Liberals either. Ann recounts her problems getting her articles published by National Review and the Wall Street Journal.
Coulter treats us to her own version of "Lost Episodes", as she shares articles that were killed and never published from over the years. This is a must-read book for everyone. Join the Coulterpalooza revolution!
