Palin Should Go On Letterman

In the days that followed, when it became clear that Todd and Sarah Palin were not taking Letterman's obtuse behavior toward their daughter lying down, the CBS comic backpedalled by claiming that he was talking about Bristol, not Willow -- as if that made it better.
Since then, Letterman has said that he has invited Gov. Palin to come on his show. Fine. Here's what they should do: Todd, Sarah and Willow Palin should go on the program. They should announce that they are there for an apology. If Letterman apologizes, they should accept it and move on. If he does not, at the end of the segment, Todd Palin should say to him, "Mr. Letterman, I have sat here patiently for the last fifteen minutes waiting for you to apologize to my daughter and to our family for the vile things you have said about us. You have not chosen to do so. Shame on you, sir. You are a man without character."
At that point, the three of them should get up and walk off the stage -- to a thunderous standing ovation across America, I have no doubt.
