If George Bush Is A Buffoon, I Want To Be A Buffoon, Too

I feel more empowered than ever, and if those of us who feel strongly about our country don't take a stand while the ball is in our court, we will lose mightily.

The Democrats are falling on their own swords, and though I hate to take joy in such a spectacle, I realize they're doing it to themselves.

And to those of you whose blood is boiling at the reading of these words . . . get over it. You owe it to yourself to move on . . . your wrath will eat you alive.

Ask any doctor. No human being can endure that much hateful rage and not do permanent damage to his body. I'm not preaching, I'm merely stating facts. I'm no healthcare practitioner, nor do I profess to know more than you, but you cannot sustain and hold up to the kind of detestable vitriol that's been manifested against George Bush and not harm yourself.

In fact, you're going to lose your mind first, so what good will you be to anyone?

I must admit, Ted Kennedy has enraged me a couple of times, but now I look at the man pitifully. Why in the world would he call for the President to present an exit strategy in Iraq? Why announce to the enemy when we're leaving?

But then again, Mr. Kennedy has always used "EXIT" strategies -- the most famous being his quick exodus at Chappaquiddick. His recent clamorings, "When are the Iraqi people going to shed their own blood and fend for themselves?" makes me wonder if those were the same sentiments he had for Mary Jo Kopechne. Oh, dear man, if only you had stayed a little longer. But we won't dwell on that one other than to say, "Ted, running away from the situation does not make it better."

And then I have a question for Mr. Kennedy. What is your exit strategy, Senator? Can you give us a clear-cut timeline as to when you're going to leave the Senate? We'd all like to know the answer to that one.

If you think our soldiers in Iraq are not the solution but the problem, you have not heard yourself lately. Maybe someone ought to sit you down and let you hear some playbacks of your reverberations. Mercy man, you've done nothing to teach our young people about vigilance and staying the course.

Mr. Kennedy still suffers from a severe case of "I Wannabe President." He can't seem to get over it. Using the same rhetoric he's used against our soldiers in Iraq, "His presence in the United States Senate is not a solution, it is definitely a problem," makes one ponder the detrimental effect he's having on our country.

How can we ever go forward with the loudest donkey braying at every turn? If he's not "hee-hawing," he's definitely out there making noise that undermines everything we're trying to do in Iraq.
