Kincaid: Obama’s Media Parrot Demolished on CNN

By GOPUSA Staff

A question from ABC’s Jake Tapper asking the President, “Where have you been” on guns and security, is getting some attention in the media. But we have the answer to that. The Obama Administration was sending guns to Mexico and failing to protect our diplomats in such places as Benghazi, Libya. The administration’s record on violence and security is a bad one. There is no doubt that Obama’s policy has made people more vulnerable to violent death.

Tapper, however, seems to be the only reporter wondering why Obama was AWOL on the issue for the last four years. Again, the reason is fairly obvious: Obama didn’t want to take on the NRA, a mass movement of millions of gun owners which exists to defend the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Although as a candidate in 2008 he had spoken disparagingly of people who “cling” to their guns, he didn’t want to make any new enemies before his re-election victory.   Now, because of the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, Obama believes he has the opportunity to go on the offensive and crush his political enemies.

The evidence, though, indicates that his new “gun control” plan will make the public even less secure than they already are.

Again, if there are any doubts on this, look at the Fast & Furious gun-running scandal and the cover-up of what really happened at Benghazi. This administration simply can’t be trusted to protect the American people.

It seems strange that Tapper and the rest of the media don’t understand Obama’s agenda. Perhaps they don’t want to accept the obvious.

Speaking at the Sandy Hook Interfaith Prayer Vigil, Obama made it clear that he intends to chip away at the Second Amendment right of self-defense even further. He asked, “Are we prepared to say that such violence visited on our children year after year after year is somehow the price of our freedom?” Yet, these children were left defenseless in the face of an onslaught by an evil and deranged person. The freedom that was lost in this exchange was the freedom of self-defense—the right to arm their protectors and guardians and save the lives of these precious little ones.

Obama is counting on the media to do his dirty work—to demonize constitutional conservatives and intimidate them into silence. This seemed to work for a while, as the NRA acted like it was in hiding in the aftermath of the killings. It was as if the NRA was somehow implicated in the killings, a point that MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell was trying to make on the air, without any evidence whatsoever. His rants, however, do not compare to those of Piers Morgan on CNN. He has come across as somebody in need of the sort of psychological help now being talked about for potential crazies.

Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America (GOA) deserves credit for going on the CNN Piers Morgan program on December 18 and calmly and rationally taking the arrogant British host completely apart. The exchange is a classic in terms of Pratt debunking every tired liberal claim about “gun control” and noting that the real solution is more security and putting weapons in the right hands for their deterrent and safety value. Morgan came across as a bully who was confronted and exposed as a stupid coward.

At the school, Pratt noted, the adults and children were “reduced to waiting to be murdered.” It appears that the killer did away with himself only when he realized the police were coming after him. By then, 26 people were dead.

Losing the argument, the British import finally resorted to name calling and insults. But Pratt had the last laugh, ripping Morgan’s “role model,” the Hitler-appeaser and “Peace in Our Time” British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain. His point was that you meet force with force, a lesson that Britain, America and the allies realized during World War II.

CNN is getting higher ratings by exploiting the Sandy Hook tragedy and that may be all that Morgan, Soledad O’Brien and the others at CNN are interested in. I usually don’t watch such obvious exploitation for ulterior motives, which apparently include keeping Morgan and O’Brien in their well-paying jobs posing as people who truly care for the children. But the stakes are now so high that a normally little-watched channel like CNN has to be exposed and challenged.

You cannot watch CNN for long, for example, without seeing a reference to “gun violence,” as if the guns shoot themselves. The term, “semiautomatic assault rifle,” is another favorite on the channel. They never define the term “assault rifle,” which apparently refers to rifles that look different than traditional rifles. On the morning show on CNN, “Starting Point with Soledad O’Brien,” the show’s faux conservative and Fox News castoff, Margaret Hoover, sings along with the liberal chorus. This is not news but propaganda and Hoover, supposedly a Republican, should be ashamed for participating in it. She is apparently paid well for making conservatives look bad.

Still, it was immensely worthwhile for a figure like Pratt to go on CNN and demolish their “gun control” arguments. The exchange demonstrates that the facts are not on CNN’s side and that their hosts, when challenged, become rather snotty and suffer a form of nervous breakdown. Pratt was not intimidated in the least.

“You’re an unbelievably stupid man, aren’t you?” Morgan said to Pratt. But Pratt calmly responded, “It seems to me you are morally obtuse. You seem to prefer being a victim to being able to prevail over the criminal element. I don’t know why you want to be the criminal’s friend.”

The CNN transcript of the show is interesting, however. Here is what it shows as the exchange was coming to an end:

MORGAN: …It’s down to idiots like you. Mr. Pratt, thank you for joining me. When we come back --

PRATT: Thank you for your high-level argument, Mr. Morgan. It’s really good.

MORGAN: You know what, you wouldn't understand the meaning of the phrase high-level argument. You are a dangerous man espousing dangerous nonsense. You shame your country.

PRATT: Disarmament is dangerous. (INAUDIBLE) into role model.

The alleged “inaudible” part of the exchange was when Pratt said, “Disarmament is dangerous. Ask Neville Chamberlain, your role model.” It can be heard as the interview was winding down. But CNN, for some reason, didn’t want that final zinger to be on the official transcript. Or perhaps the transcriber didn’t know who Neville Chamberlain was.

Ahhhhh Neville Chamberlin,,,the British PRime Minister of “Peace in our TIme” co-Hitler co-signer of a peace agreement that sold the Chechs down the toilet in appeasement. The perfect paradigm of what happens when a country is too timid to pay a little now and pays dearly alot more later. Same applies to fiscal cliffs as applies to guns. Before they can arrogantly take your personal property overtly, they must first disarm in words, then disarm in fact. Hitler was also a socialist.

Obama said his plate was full with other more pressing things but does that include him being out on the campaign trail for over a year and a half. Now he acts like it is the most pressing thing ever, after an event happened. guns weren’t the problem, the shooter was.

Seems to me his plate was more full of (other than campaigning) trips to NYC for a date with his wife to see Broadway shows, trips to Las Vegas (where we don’t need to go), flying around the world telling every nation that will listen to him what a ****** country the United States is, bowing to the head man in Saudi Arabia, leaving the President of Israel waiting when he just had to leave their planned luch because he had a conflict with lunch with hir wife, multiple vacations, lots of golf and planning trips during his spare time for the wife, friends and kids to go to Spain for “a girls night out” and for the kids spring vacation to Mexico.

And natch Congress must beat feet and get out of town for their Christmas (Holidays?) break (after just one more free haircut) while leaving their bothersome little three day a week $178,000/year jobs plus perks, leaving the nation in neutral waiting in the sidelines for them to do something other than caving to the administration.

It’s not a very CHRISTMAS or CHRISTAIN thought and certainly not meant to insult or disparage Mr. Pratt in any way what-so-ever, but I wish that someone with less courtesy had been there to slap the snot out of that arrogant, insulting limey. He’s have wet his cowardly linen if someone more aggressive and less tolerant had responded in kind. Only CNN and the like would have someone on their channel exhibit such rude, churlish and moronic behavior to a guest. Mr. Pratt showed more intelligence, knowledge and courage than that waste of time and space. It’s no wonder why CNN has to drag the gutters for their hosts. In my book, he’s more rude and arrogant than O’rielly or Hannity has ever been. And that’s saying a lot.

But Merry Christmas to all y’alls out there.

    Great commentary

Watch it here, and it is clear he said “Neville Chamberlain”

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9z1wfgNf9E

As for dangerous men, Piers continuing to advocate for what is the primary reason events happened where they happened and only insures it happening again. So now we know at whose feet to place the bloody bodies

If Nancy Lanza had not owned gun one, would ONLY have prevented her guns from being used.

Which is lowering the potential by 1/270 millionth, and the ONLY way to get it to zero is to ban ALL GUNS. Good luck with Obama selling to drug lords and those guns WERE machine guns with 43,000 dead

But then for Piers to claim he is NOT wanting to ban all guns is disingenuous, and as the word means, morally fraudulent.

A liar and someone who happily will allow children to be murdered all the while pretending to some moral superiority, knowing fully America will come to his rescue to save his sorry butt if a dictator was to take Britain and we would feed the rebels all the arms they need to over throw the tyrant as we are currently doing in Syria.

Disingenuous, morally fraudulent, nah, just a fraud

What possibly will they learn about the gun that will be found to be either sense or senseless?

The gun was just like thousands of others and it would be impossible to tell by examination which would be involved in an activity, let alone senseless gun violence.

Maybe, they are thinking the unique serial numbers would make one different than all the others?

No wonder it does not receive funding. Looks like junk science

      http://jama.jamanetwork.com/data/Journals/JAMA/0/jama.2012.208207.pdf

“The United States has long relied on public health science
to improve the safety, health, and lives of its citizens.
Perhaps the same straightforward, problem-solving approach
that worked well in other circumstances can help
the nation meet the challenge of firearm violence. Otherwise,
the heartache that the nation and perhaps the world
is feeling over the senseless gun violence in Newtown will
likely be repeated, again and again.”

All you have to do is come back again and again with the facts, and then just sit back and watch them disintegrate. Well done, Larry Pratt.

    pwpmmp;
So true, and therein lies our greatest strength and Liberals’ greatest weakness. They have no solid truths to offer up in defense of Gun Control. All known evidence points to Gun Control being utterly pointless. Evidence shows that where more people are armed and properly trained, there is significantly LESS crime than where guns are banned. These Gun Control supporters wishing the facts were different won’t change anything outside of Making them look stupid.
just saw Jon Ralston discuss gun control with one gun control supporter and one woman who is pushing legislation to ease CCW laws among other pro second Amendment Rights protections. Ralston and the man for gun control really couldn’t work up a decent attack because, again, they had no solid facts to back their position. The woman even got the Gun Control supporter to agree to accompany her to a gun training facility and learn how to use a gun. THAT was good.

No, Mr. President, it is the end result of you liberals and your constant, inept. clumsy meddling in human affairs. You think you are sooo much smarter than the rest of us that it is your duty to circumvent our liberties and FORCE us to obey your every whim “for our own good”, because the all-wise, all-seeing liberal SAYS so.

It was the same liberals who now weep copious crocodile tears over murdered children, who decided the mentally ill should be free, and dismantled the entire mental health care system. Now the lunatics wander the streets, sleeping in cardboard boxes, talking to people who aren’t there, and often scaring the bejeebers out of sane folks, even when the crazies are NOT waving guns and committing mass murder.

For that matter, while you are weeping for the murdered children, why can’t you spare a few tears for the MILLIONS murdered by abortion? You and others like you are illogical hypocrites and irrational FOOLS who only screw things up WORSE when you get the power to run things, with your half-baked, crack-brained ideas. I think the sorry state of our country says it all. Now that you’ve had FOUR YEARS to screw it up, and have just been given 4 MORE to finish destroying the country, things are not likely to get better. The LUNATICS are now in charge of the asylum, so it’s unrealistic to expect anything resembling SANITY from your administration, and unrealistic to expect anything except LIES out of your mouth.

Allahbama was driving himself one sunny day (it’s a joke. I know he doesn’t do his own driving. I’m not even sure he knows how to drive or has a genuine drivers license, unlike his social security card. Work with me here) and right in front of an insane asylum (I know, not PC. Maybe intelligence impaired?) He had a blow out.

He looked in the trunk of “The Beast” and found the spare wheel and tire, but not the jack needed to replace the blown out tire. There was the lug nut tool though. He decided to go ahead and remove the lug nuts anyway and when he did, he placed them all carefully in the bowl of the removed hubcap. As he was trying to think of a way to get the blown tire off without the jack, an eighteen wheeler roared by and hit the hubcap, scattering the lug nuts all over the space.

An inmate, standing inside the cyclone fence watching him asked if he could be of assistance. Obama, being sure this person could not possibly help one as super intelligent as he decided to humor him and he explained his situation and said he would surely appreciate any help.

The inmate thought for a few minutes then said “Why don’t you flag down a vehicle that has a jack, use it to jack up the car, remove the blown tire and then take one lug nut from each of the other three tires and use them to install the spare tire using them as a temporary fix”? He said that should be safe enough to get him to a service station and have them properly install the spare tire.

Obama was surprised at the idea and said he thought it amazing that a person in this particular facility could come up with such a brilliant idea. The inmate replied “I’m insane, not stupid”.

This was the price of existing gun control in a government mandated gun free shooting gallery. And you have the insane idea that you must now make an appeal to emotion devoid of fact or reason.

You in your efforts to disarm free people is a violation of your oath of office, making you a traitor, and making an assessory after the fact to these murders.

But Mr. Obama wants desperately to declare himself our “Dear Leader for Life”, only it just won’t work as long as there are all those pesky patriots out here with guns that might be used to interfere with his grandiose plans to crown himself king. But he really REALLY wants to be king, so he has to exploit every tragedy to push for getting those guns away from those pesky patriots. And just like the poor students and teachers in those “gun-free schools”, we will all be sitting ducks if the Boy Who Would Be King gets his way.

Ain’t that the truth. However, never underestimate the stupidity of the majority. (just look at the last election.)

I just thought of another argument for removing gun control. If the second ammendment were followed, it does not mean that everyone would be forced to have a gun, but only those who wanted one. I would take a well armed minority over a defensless majority any day of the week.

One other factor Piers Morgan needs to consider

    http://www.gunpolicy.org/firearms/region/united-kingdom
“The estimated total number of guns held by civilians in the United Kingdom is 4,060,0001″

Total number gun deaths “In the United Kingdom, annual deaths resulting from firearms total 2009: 138″

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_kingdom
    Population
    – 2011 census 63,181,775

If the United Kingdom had 300 million guns (75 times more guns) like the US and 315 million people (5 times more people)

The deaths from guns would be
    51,750

    By comparison
    http://www.gunpolicy.org/firearms/region/united-states
In the United States, annual firearm homicides total

    2009: 9,146
    2008: 9,484

Which means every gun in America is 5.7 TIMES less likely to be involved in a death than one in the United Kingdom

Good thing the Brits restrict their guns they don’t know how to handle them. Maybe a fire arms safety course from the NRA might help

When a liberal finds he is really on the ropes, he starts claiming to have received death threats. Of course, it is still ok for the left to call for death and dismemberment for their conservative opponents. For example John Cobaruvvias, the Texas Democratic Party leader who tweeted “Can we now shoot the NRA and everyone who defends them?”. I am a life member of the NRA and consider that a excited utterance and not an actual threat but it does expose his hypocrisy. It is telling that a member of the Democratic party would favor gun violence directed toward someone he doesn’t like.

I think it has been noted by supporters of the 2nd ammendment.

I doubt that the people who support gun control will realize it. They don’t like to bothered with such pesky things as facts, statistics, truth, the Constitution, history, or rational thinking.

As long as it makes them feel good, that’s all that matters.
