Levy: Liberals - Soft Hearts, Softer Brains

By Mark P. Levy

"Hallelujah, hallelujah, Obamacare is officially the law of the land," proclaim liberals across the country. President Obama has waved his magic wand, and suddenly everybody will have the best health care in the world and at almost no cost.

Liberal pundits and politicians are gushing as if the president were truly their messiah and Obamacare were written on stone tablets -- albeit 2,700 stone tablets. Some have even blathered about their new love for Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.

The softness of the liberals' hearts can only be topped by the softness of their brains. Liberals, bless their hearts, have blindly bought into the president's fantasy. In fact, when challenged, they simply call you a racist and recite the president's talking points that everyone is covered, if you like your doctor you can keep him, people with pre-existing conditions can't be turned down, kids can stay on their parents insurance until they are 26, blah, blah, blah.

For some strange reason, when Nancy Pelosi said in 2010, "We have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it," liberals never took the initiative during the past two years to actually see what was in the bill. To this day, most Americans don't know how Obamacare will be implemented or how it will directly affect them. Mainstream media outlets have never examined any real-world scenarios, the real-world costs and who will actually foot the bill for this monstrous law.

Let's take a look at a couple of typical examples. Tom and Katie are 25-year-old newlyweds who currently only carry a catastrophic policy because they are in good health and can afford to pay as they go for routine doctor visits. Under Obamacare, this young couple will now be forced to purchase a health insurance policy that the government mandates as suitable, which means a significant increase in their premiums.

They may have been saving for a new house, a vacation or a new car, or they may have been saving for a baby -- but now their extra money will be taken by the IRS in order to pay for a policy they didn't want or need. If this couple fails to comply, they will face a financial penalty. Uh, wait, the Supreme Court said it was a tax; but wait, President Obama says it's not a tax ... no matter what it's called, it's still money out of their pockets.

On a hypocritical side note: Liberals hate government intrusion into their lives, especially when it comes from a conservative -- i.e., abortion or the Pledge of Allegiance. Yet Obamacare will force millions of Americans to alter their lifestyles in order to buy government-mandated health insurance.

Now take a business owner who has 50 employees. The economy is tough, and currently that owner may not be able to afford health insurance for his employees. Because of Obamacare, he will be forced to either buy a government dictated plan or pay a $2,000 fine, uh, tax, no, I mean penalty (which is it again?) per employee.

For you libs out there who can't do math, that comes to $100,000 per year that business owner will fork over to the government because of Obamacare. Guess what? The owner will have to raise prices, and the employees still won't have health insurance. What a great system.

Next week, I will help liberals by dispelling other fantasies such as the tooth fairy, gnomes and Santa Claus, who they believe lives in Washington.

Lets continue that thought on the small business with fifty employees. Assuming the small business does not run out of cash after paying the 100 g penalty and have to let go all fifty employees. The hundred gs is spent and now the employees have to go get government mandated type insurance which will average over 10 thousand dollars or more, which will now Not be deductable from their income tax so in effect they have to pay for this insurance with after tax dollars. In effect add another 1g to 2g to there health bill. Or they pay up to $2,500 penalty and still have no health insurance. Another question is what happens when you get sick and go to the hospital without health insurance? Who pays? Here we go again.

Can you imagine.. 300 million some odd people going to the doctor for a routine check now that “it’s all paid for with Obamacare”, and how long it will take for the bureaucrats to approve a simple blood test, or an X-Ray? Let alone an MRI ir Catscan.. Wow.

Obama supporters should be saying ” Oh my.. what have we gotten ourselves into?”

Heard an interview sent to me this morning. It originated from Chicago and the man was interviewing a neurosurgeon who had just come back from a conference in Washington.
Guess what? The orders from ObamaCare is that if a person is over 70 years of age and needs neurosurgery, they are called units and are denied help. They are to be put on custodial care. In other words, die sucker, Obama wants you dead.
    Remember to vote.

This is the ugly reality of ObamaCare. It won’t stop and neurosurgery for those over 70 either. Babies born pre-term will have a cut off age (as in England) and it will be too bad for the baby and parent if they are born before it as they won’t get care…no matter how strong and a fighter they are. People with pre-existing conditions will be denied other care because it isn’t a good use of resources. I wouldn’t doubt that children who manage to be born with birth defects (if they don’t find a way to force abortions after ultrasounds that find problems with the baby) will be denied coverage for any needs they have. That might sound crazy but I called an insurance company recently to see if they had maternity coverage and they said no because if they did and the baby was born with a defect then they’d have to cover them too and they couldn’t afford to do that and keep rates lower.

There is a lot in that law that will be very ugly when it sees the light of day.

As a life long Barely Moderate Democrat, two clicks to the right and two clicks up, I have a lot of liberal friends whom I often take to task. Those two clicks to the left and two clicks down, often refer to themselves as Ghandi like by viewpoint, and refer to me as an honest democrat. The other end of the spectrum, 10 clicks left and 5 clicks down, not even democrats at all, claiming to be independent, or green, or fill in the blank….including Socialists, are the most difficult to deal with. By and large they think they are smarter than anyone else, yet when it comes to Mensa level mentality, they cannot follow a simple chain of evidence. That shortage of ears and eyesight makes them in my view as smart as a brick. Obama lied hundreds of times, but that don’t matter. I wonder how they will react when they get the Obamacare bills. Will that be OK too?

“Tom and Katie are 25-year-old newlyweds who currently only carry a catastrophic policy.”

But carry that thought to reality. Tom and Katie will now pay a tax to support at least 35 million and maybe more who currently don’t pay for their own medical care. As one immigrant said: “the US Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are really great. I brought my elderly partents in from Mexico and they can get looked after by government.”

Do you really think bringing unskilled workers or their elderly parents in from all over the world and putting them on our entitlement programs is economically sustainable. And now Obamacare wants to eliminate those who paid into this system throughout there working years so we care care for the World’s sick and ailing. Absurd.

“ President Obama has waved his magic wand, and suddenly everybody will have the best health care in the world and at almost no cost“

.How the hell is it legal for Government to force anyone to purchase a TAX?. This is, in effect, what is being forced upon us through Obamacare, which the S.C. says is a tax, but which Nobama swears adamantly is not a tax.? We cannot be forced to buy a tax.
If Nobamacare is such a great insurance plan for Americans, then, pray tell me, why are so many Waivers being handed out to Government employees at every level, Unions, big Business, especially those who donated heavily to Nobamas campaign, ETC. ETC, ?. If it is so good for most of America, should it not be Great for all of those above also?.
I can guarantee you that the likes of Soros and his Family, Nobama and his Family, Harry Reid and his Family, Nancy Pelosi and all her Family, et al will not be required, in fact, will be exempt, from this great Insurance plan.
Take the time to read all 2,700 Plus pages of that bill, and you will find that many many pages have much which will give power, and take away freedoms, which in effect have nothing whatsoever to do with healthcare. YOU REALLY SHOULD READ THIS ENTIRE TRAVESTY BEFORE YOU VOTE IN NOVEMBER. Thanks to the supreme Court, you now OWN it, so you should, as Pelosi said, find out what’s really in it.
This whole thing stinks of Government taking over much more than just health care, but considerably more from Americans in the forms of much, which will be imposed upon us as each part of that bill opens up and becomes law.

    HR 3200. RH

You can go here, and it is broken down into sections for easier lookup of specific topics you may want to read, without having to search the whole amount of pages to find a particular topic. If you do not take the time to read it, preferably in it’s entirety, then shame on you, and you will have no right to complain later, that you did not know that was part of the bill.
Step up to the plate, Americans, and knock this mistake out of the park in November.
