Brown: Rick Santorum Dances With The Devil

By Floyd and Mary Beth Brown

In the Republican debate held on Washington's Birthday the candidates were asked to describe themselves in one word. Santorum chose the word courage. If fits after a week of dancing with the national news media over the issue of Satan. Does he exist? Santorum says yes. The media says no.

It all started Monday when Matt Drudge posted audio of Rick Santorum speaking at Ave Maria University in Florida four years ago. Matt Drudge often relies on tips, and campaign opposition research operations have worked overtime this year dishing him dirt for posting.

The nuggets revealed show a Rick Santorum who is concerned about what Christians call Spiritual Warfare. The concept is derived from Ephesians chapter 6: 11-13 where St Paul warns: "Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]."

Belief in Satan is pretty standard theology amongst Christians. Only the liberal, secular media finds it surprising that professing Christians hold such a belief.

We are pleased that Santorum stood his ground, saying to CNN, "If somehow or another because you're a person of faith and you believe in good and evil is a disqualifier for president, we're going to have a very small pool of candidates who can run for president."

In his speech, Santorum explains his beliefs this way: "This is not a political war at all. This is not a cultural war. This is a spiritual war. And the Father of Lies has his sights on what you would think the Father of Lies would have his sights on: a good, decent, powerful, influential country - the United States of America. If you were Satan, who would you attack in this day and age. There is no one else to go after other than the United States and that has been the case now for almost two hundred years, once America's preeminence was sown by our great Founding Fathers."

We couldn't agree more with Santorum, and he should challenge Obama, who claims to be a professing Christian, if he also believes in the Devil. This would not only put the controversy in perspective, but would shine light on whether Obama believes in Lucifer or if he is a Christian heretic, far outside the mainstream of Christian thought.

However, we won't hold our breaths waiting for a reporter in the White House Press corps to ask Obama if he, like Santorum, believes that the devil exists.

Santorum expounded his belief on why America is declining, saying," ... Satan has done so by attacking the great institutions of America, using those great vices of pride, vanity, and sensuality as the root to attack all of the strong plants that has so deeply rooted in the American tradition."

After trashing Santorum for these wise words he spoke, the media repeats in unison the old myth that Americans only care about jobs, the economy, and business. This just isn't true.

Millions of Americans believe like us that moral decay is a greater threat to liberty than the current economic downturn.

Moral decay impacts our families and lives as much as or more than money. Many a happy family gets by on modest incomes. In contrast, drugs, immorality, and lust have destroyed countless marriages, and when those marriages dissolve, economic hardship often results.

Plus, moral decay affects the economy in more ways than at first blush we might realize. Honesty and integrity in business dealings and commerce under gird the free enterprise system. Without moral people, economic decisions become mired in corruption, which leads directly to a lack of trust.

The basic underlying beliefs of socialism run counter to biblical Christianity. To covet your neighbors' goods and money, as a society, is as wrong as stealing it as an individual. Just because we steal to redistribute wealth as a collective (the US Government) doesn't make it moral, even if it is legal.

But we think that Santorum's words that really stung the elite media were his words about academia. In continuing his description of Satan's works, Santorum said, "The place where he was, in my mind, the most successful and first successful was in academia. He understood pride of smart people. He attacked them at their weakest, that they were, in fact, smarter than everybody else and could come up with something new and different. Pursue new truths, deny the existence of truth, play with it because they're smart. And so academia, a long time ago, fell."

In this election season Santorum has drawn a tough dance card dealing with the devils in the national news media.

    Of Course Santorum is correct. Again I point out;

“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he doesn’t exist”

If the Liberals admit there is a devil they must admit to his antithesis which is God, and then they would expose themselves for the devils they really are, and their disabling ideology of the edification of man over God becomes mute.

For those who believe THEMSELVES God, all explanation and actions become possible, most of which only lead us to our own destruction and the destruction of our human potential to become that which is greater than ourselves. Enter Obama and his Liberals who promise all, deliver nothing and try to convince the world that God is just some imaginary sky pilot who does not exist while we trust the new-age secular God-Man for all our needs and blessings. The debilitating secular pride of thinking one a superior human being has ensnared many a human soul. Just witness Obama and Pelosi. These are the empty soulless entities that create nothing but the enablement of abortion, and the disabling drugs of dependency. These spiritual empty shells would empty our lives and our once overflowing American spirit and national being . Good only prevails when Good men say and do nothing. And Santorum comes to us only as an aspiring GOOD Man, not to condemn but to enlighten and save.

I leave you with one immutable truth which is the beginning of all knowledge which is this. “There is a God, and it is not You or Me.” All men are indeed created equal, but only in the manner which we reflect the shades of Gods creative immaculate essence. We are created in the image of a creator with a design and task to create. It is his antithesis who is the destroyer, and I challenge any sane Christian to look about at this Democrat party and administration that survives and flourishes on lies, deception and destruction.

This universe is a situation of soul building, the power to make ourselves Saints or Devils. It is up to us , American men of free will to decide who and what we will follow. In a moral universe we are either free to obey the laws of God and the universe, or disobey them, just as we are free to disobey the laws of health. Both a man or a thing, is defined as good only to the degree that it attains its purpose for which he or it was designed. Witness the promise of Obama in comparison to the results of Obama and there is nothing about him or his administration than can be defined as Good. The devil is indeed in his deceptions which is what defines the Father of all lies, and Christ basically stated that Lying is not only a part of his essence; it is his very native tongue. In this coming election it will be God’s truth which sets us free. Just Keep Going for it Rick, for there are legions in the shadows waiting to rally to the Founding Christian American truths.

“For those who believe in God, no explanation is necessary, for those who do not, no explanation will suffice (Or is possible)”

Get you hands on this book. It may answer questions about why America is under attack from within and without; THE HARBINGER, by Jonathan Cahn. I couldn’t put it down and read it in one day.

“To not believe in the Devil, is to not believe in God.”

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:10–12

“Let them laugh as they will, for the Devil in due time will come to collect their souls.”

You would think the liberals would love to embrace belief in Satan since they hate personal responsibility so much. “The devil made me do it,” could be another defense to add to all their other denials of personal responsibility. I guess they do not, because to do so would be to acknowledge that evil does exist as do moral absolutes.

This article is correct and points out that Rick Santorum is the only candidate who is actually speaking about and addressing the Social (Moral) Issues and the Economic Issues…..and yes, they ARE connected. We can have all the economic “fixes” in the world, but without a moral compass, we will be like those wandering in the desert.

Rick Santorum may not be perfect, but I think he is the candidate the USA needs right now. With the continued abortions of over 3,000 babies per day in the USA, and the assaults on morals, traditional marriage & family, and Religious Liberty from the Obama administration we need someone who will try to turn this country around.

    Rick Santorum for President!

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

If y’all think he can win, then we are truly doomed!
Women will not vote for him, they may not shout in your face about it, but they will not pull a lever for this man!
Get off the religious issue and look at the real things that we need to do in order to make uour country great again…….such as GET OBAMA OUT OF OFFICE!

Excuse me but, y’all don’t know what you’re talking about. I know many women who support Santorum. Recently there have been several articles about women’s support surging for Santorum. Like this one: http://townhall.com/columnists/maggiegallagher/2012/02/23/womens_support_for_santorum_surging

The “religious issue” is very important along with many other issues. If you don’t think so, you’ve got your head in the sand. If there are many like you we are truly doomed!

You must think that all women are idiots! [Many are by their "Oh he's so handsome" ****!] But most THINKING women and men would rather have Truth and Honesty and Morality in politics than the currrent Pagans/Chicago style criminals that are eroding the very Constitution that made America great!
We would rather have our cat as president than Obuma — he’d do less damage!

The fact that good and evil do exist is evident in every day life around the world; and xpecially in politics! Is Obama a Christian? Facts prove otherwise. He cancelled the Christian day of prayer and celebrated the Muslim one! [A person who spends 20 yrs of his life learning black liberal theology - the theology of hate -- should not be considered a Christian.
The book of all human genealogy - the Bible - states "By their fruits/deeds/actions you shall know them!" The "fruits" of this president have been decidedly rotten/vile!
That being said, we do not know if Obama is a Christian or not -- but in the end -- Just as all of us will be judged by The GOD of all Creation" [whether you believe in HIM or not is your problem] – we and Obama will one day have to give an account of how we spent our lives on the Earth God gave us!
When GOD asks us “Why should I allow you to enter MY Heaven?” — There is only one answer — do you know what it is?
By the way –did you know that Christianity is Not a Religion? Do you know Why?
