Lukens: America After Obama

By Jeff Lukens

Barack Obama has gone from the “one we've been waiting for" to the one we can’t wait to kick out. No one ever thought one man could bring the nation to its knees, but here he is living in the White House. And on our knees we have been praying for the day that he leaves.

The audacity of a president hell-bent on destroying our great nation has truly been a stunning spectacle to observe. No lie is too ridiculous to tell about anyone who opposes him. With a compliant media behind him, the smears this Demagogue-in-Chief promises to unleash on his opponent this fall could divide the county so badly that it becomes ungovernable.

The societal tensions Obama promised to ease have worsened by his politics of envy. The racial healing he promised has been made worse. Despite overwhelming opposition, he forced a health plan on the people that few want. He has trampled on the Constitution, and infringed on powers granted to Congress. He has bailed out auto companies, investment bankers and insurance companies. He has given Constitutional rights to terrorists.

Obama’s greatest transgression, however, has been the explosion of government spending to the point where we are enslaved to a mountain of debt that can never be repaid. He has given us $1.6-trillion deficits, and will have added more than $6 trillion to the debt by the end of his term. He has risen the percentage of GDP consumed by government to 25 percent. And all his spending has stimulated nothing.

If you believe what the government reports, total unemployment is currently 15.2 percent as measured by U-6. During Obama’s tenure, true unemployment has been running greater than 20 percent and is near Depression Era levels. In sum, Obama’s presidency has hastened a financial disaster upon the nation.

Obama calls his policies “transformation.” In an earlier age, they would have been considered something akin to treason. Our enemies could not have planted someone to have caused more damage. And now, with financial collapse on the horizon, our very way of life is threatened.

Altogether, Barack Obama will probably go down in history as the worst president of all time. Until now, historians have long given that dubious distinction to James Buchanan, who left office to Abraham Lincoln as the nation was falling apart and headed toward civil war. It is no exaggeration to say the 2012 election is every bit as important as was the 1860 election. James Buchanan at least had good intentions. The same cannot be said for Barack Obama. His intent is not to build up, but only to tear the nation down, and then to cover his tracks. There is no other way to explain his actions.

Millions of Americans, however, have finally had enough. A counterrevolution is rising to a level rarely seen in our history. There hasn’t been this intensity of grassroots activity since the abolitionist movement of the 1850s. People are making themselves visible in the community. They are organizing rallies and call-in campaigns. They are studying the Constitution, and will not be silenced by charges of racism or any other falsehood uttered by the Left.

And when the new president is sworn in, collective relief will be felt across the land. But the long and hard road to recovery will have only begun. Whether America avoids financial collapse will be uncertain for years to come.

For a government that borrows 36 cents of every dollar it spends, the math is simple. We will need real cuts to the federal budget near 36 percent to survive. Factor in modest economic growth and perhaps the cuts could be 30 percent. But failure to make real cuts on this scale risks runaway inflation and disaster. Any way you look at it, people’s pain will be deep, and it will be real.

With Obama gone and the threat of reprisals removed, people will begin to talk, and eventually the truth about Obama’s mysterious past will come out. What was hidden, scrubbed, and not vetted in 2008 -- including his grades, his college records, his passport, his personal associations, and yes, even his birth -- will all be exposed. It is all just a matter of time. The duplicity and deceit to be uncovered will shock even his most ardent supporters.

Who knows? A pariah status could very well attach itself to Obama on a level reserved for few individuals in American history. Obama could be regarded as the Benedict Arnold of our time. The masses may come to shun him, and rightly so. If there is poetic justice in this world, this will be his legacy.

November is not just another election; it is a seminal moment in American history. If Obama is reelected, expect ObamaCare to stay, the debt to crush us, our defenses to be laid bare, Iran to get the bomb, and at least two liberals to be named to the Supreme Court. If Obama is reelected, America as we know it will be gone forever. Collapse will be certain.

For true hope and true change, perhaps we should try returning to a limited Constitutional government. We all need to be involved. Whether or not we can turn around the disaster Barack Obama has foisted upon us hinges first on removing him from office. Now is the time to go about the work of doing just that. This is the year, folks. Buckle up. It’s going to be a rough ride.

I don’t think the Obama Democrats will take a loss graciously.

That’s a real concern; What kind of damage a lame duck President and Congress might do in the two months before new ones are sworn in. Would they in anger, take out their ouster on the rest of the Nation?

“America after Obama,” sounds great if it really happens, and at this point, I’m not too sure.  The Democrats are going for the jugular with the two top candidates and it appears as if they are making progress.  According to Rasmussen more than eight percent of the public (Republicans) will vote for Obama if they can’t get the candidate of their choice!  Now if that isn’t a kicker, I don’t know what is.

It’s no secret that Obama and some of his cohorts are followers of Alinsky and that fact has been brought up continously by Gingrich in this campaign.  It now turns out that the marxist from Chicago has his picture displayed in the White House and many of his “win” tactics are now in force with more ferocity than ever.  Time will tell if we stand a fighting chance.

I have ever since the debates began wondered if these personal attacks aren’t more of the Obama strategy. The strategy would be similar to the one used when someone in a crowd fires at the police or soldiers knowing they will eventually fire back as they did at Kent State and in the “Boston Massacre”. Accusations of racial slurs, gender insensitivity and sexual harassment are direct and straight forward attacks that have been used against Republicans as well as litmus-testing how truly conservative a candidate is by bringing up abortion and other hot-button issues, but these so called debates are now merely dogfights with each candidate and their supporters bringing up dirt and possibly lies about the other candidates until none of them become electable. I don’t think this is an accident and when you have a billion to fund discord long before a Republican candidate is selected at a convention, why not use some of that money.

Every candidate now hires a campaign advisory company who clip and sort through the print media and listen to the audio of campaign ads, but most candidates now also have the support of one or more PACs and not all PACs may be what they seem to be nor support what the candidate believes they support. It is my suspicion that this candidate dogfight is being directed by those who want Obama re-elected and know the best way to accomplish this is to destroy or weaken those he will run against. Can you really imagine either of the front-runners for the Republican Party attracting any independent voters? I can’t because voters are now probably more turned off on these candidates than they are at Obama. It’s a strategy as effective as all the other strategies, just harder to combat.

In my opinion it is a shame that we have to “pray” that this fraud is removed! If Congress was doing their job, he would have been arrested & tried for Treason a long time ago!

“For a government that borrows 36 cents of every dollar it spends, the math is simple. We will need real cuts to the federal budget near 36 percent to survive.”

Any 6th-grade student would understand this, but Congress sits around arguing over cutting $1.2 trillion over the next DECADE while at the same time we are running deficits of $1.6 trillion ANNUALLY.

As long as 47% of the American people are not even paying federal income taxes, there will never be any cuts of 36% to the federal budget.  Even if it was possible, the 36% cut would ONLY balance the budget, leaving nothing to use to pay off the accumulated debt of $16 trillion.

    GREAT ARTICLE.
I only hope we see America after Obama in 2012
The person who sits in the Presidents chair, is taking us to the state of ruin, almost single-handedly.

I propose that we all send the link to this article to everyone in our address books, and urge them all to do the same. I am quite positive that by now, every person in the Country knows what this guy is doing to our Country, but if we take a stand, pass this article along, and urge others to do the same, possibly we can get more to realize exactly what he has, and is doing to our Country. If they are against us, then they are NOT for us. WE MUST unseat this man, otherwise there will be no Country to save after, and if he is removed from office. I am setting up the article to send to all my friends and family, I hope all of you help our cause, and do the same. Every nail puts us one step closer to sealing his Governmental coffin.

I really am not too comfortable about this election year.  There are still too many bozos, 47 percent, who would still vote for Obama. Even though 67 percent of Americans don’t like the way the country is going.  I can’t figure those number out; they don’t make sense.   I really, really hope and pray that Obama will be voted out, but I am very uneasy about the final outcome.

It is very obvious how these numbers can be like that.  Next time you see a poll, pay attention to the information at the bottom.  It will say something like 1500 likely voters or 575 eligible voters or 300 people polled.  The facts are that there are about 305,000,000 people in this country.  I would also like to point out some other statistics.  How about 47% of the population receiving some type of government assistance.  and they report that about 50% don’t pay taxes.  It becomes obvious why he can get so many people on his side.  Those would be the people who WANT to have stuff GIVEN to them and that do NOT want to pay their FAIR SHARE.  All this race baiting and class warfare that this administration is fostering is helping their cause.  They want to have bigger government.  The thing that everyone forgets or doesn’t think about is this.  Charlie Reese wrote an article that sums it up.  It is called 545 vs 300,000,000.  Here is a link to a copy of it.  http://areyoufeduptoo.com/545_vs.html  If everyone read it and passed it on, maybe, just maybe folks would realize just who is the bad guy here.  The ones elected and appointed are the cause of all this stuff.  They want you to believe it’s the Republicans who created the whole mess.  Yes they had a hand in it, but so did the Dems.  Bush tried to get the regulations on Fannie and Freddie, but the Democrats having control kept those regulations from being put in place.  Clinton started the whole mess saying that everyone should own a home whether or not they could afford it.  People tend to have selective amnesia, especially if they are being told the wrong information over and over.  They say that Newt it bad because of things in his past, all the while ignoring many positive accomplishments.  They say that Romney is bad because he made a lot of money, sometimes at the expense of some jobs. But then when Obama tells the auto industry to close down dealerships and plants because it would be necessary to save the companies, nobody says anything, in fact, most people didn’t even know.  Obama had a man stand there beside him because he had lost his job, but no one mentioned that he lost his job because Obama told the car company to close the dealership he worked at, even though that dealership was not in financial trouble.  I wonder which dealership got the benefit of that closure with the increased business?  Probably the one who had donated to the Obama campaign.  Why did nobody talk in depth about Obama’s past?  Probably because lots of money was spent to conceal it.

I have rarely seen such plain language being spoken about this charlatan; it is refreshing to read! If we aren’t smart enough to his media-backed, union paid off, foodstamp and welfare increased, as well as illegal immigrant payoffs for reelection, then we deserve four more years. The crony capitalism must stop, and we must control spending! No world leader in modern times has his own set of facts that accompany his schemes that he would have the American people believe
. I no longer believe anything from this President and administration, he lies, plain and simple. God Bless Americe!
